I like the lines on the GLC but cannot stand the interiors. It looks good all at once but when you look at the details more closely it starts to come off as cheap to me. I test drove a Mercedes last year and found it annoying just to change the volume to the level I wanted it. The sales person even said yeah it takes time to get used to that. Lol get used to changing the volume! I was immediately turned off from the car. Not really sure what the Germans are doing right now other than trying to maximize profits with cheapening interior quality but increasing prices.

Really nice review and thorough overview of the different packages and trims. Hope you continue doing that in future vids!

Great review and great SUV in my opinion. Just a small caveat. It is deceiving to say that this is a $50K SUV. By the time you add few important packages and options, you are talking more like $58-63K, and you can go north of $70K for a fully optioned one, even with this base engine GLC 300.

Does this guy work for Mercedes? This is not a review…it’s an advertisement. Not one criticism.

Let's see. I said I prefer the ZF 8 speed in the BMW X3 and the dual clutch in the Audi Q5. I said there was a slight disconnect with the handling and steering input with the lack of the AMG Line Package, and I said the GLC wasn't the most practical. Either those aren't criticisms or you exposed yourself by skipping through the video.

Bland styling, average driving feel and limited tech. I’d go with the AMG package or a new Audi Q5!

A new Q5 with a CD player should tell you that they are not new

@@xavierv.1207 CD or not the car has a modern infotainment system “Smart infotainment system
The infotainment system of the Audi Q5 SUV* uses Android Automotive OS as its operating system. Apps such as TH-cam are available via the store for third-party apps, which is integrated directly into the MMI and does not require a smartphone to use.
The heart of the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System is a highly efficient amplifier. It drives 16 loudspeakers with 685 watts of power.
The A-pillar and mid-range speakers produce an incomparable 3D surround sound. The "Symphoria" technology developed by the Fraunhofer Institute makes an important contribution to this. It adds sound dimensions that are important for a natural sound image: width, depth, and height. This creates a feeling of spaciousness in the car.
Compared to the Audi sound system, the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System works with Vehicle Noise Compensation (VNC), which compensates for interior noise. Customers also have the option of expanding their sound experience at any time with features that can be added accordingly via Functions on Demand.

Poor review. No way this car is any better than the new x 3. Mercedes reliability is not what it uses to be and BMW has turned it around to where it's up with Toyota. I drove a new base e class and was not impressed where BMW provides some excitement in there current offerings. Also, BMW had better incentives on newer models.

Did BMW pay you to post this comment? I’ve personally been a BMW fan for years, but you can’t say with a straight face it’s a superior product, not now in the 2020’s and that hurts even to make that statement myself.

As someone who has been in the market for this segment, I can tell you that objectively the 2025 GLC is more premium than the new 2025 X3. The GLC offers illuminated door sills, soft materials and stitching on most of the touching surfaces, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power extension seats, power headrests, three memory settings for the driver and front passenger seats, an opening panoramic sunroof, the integration of ChatGPT for its voice control system, etc. Yes, it is more expensive and in order to have many of the advanced features you will need to add some packages and options, but the fact is that the new X3 doesn't offer these features. In fact, most reviews of the new X3 have been critical of the interior. Whether that is important to you or not is a different matter.
Now, just to be clear, I am just referring to these two cars, not to Mercedes and BMW as brands. I think that the current X5 has a nicer interior than the current GLE for example, and the standard straight six in the BMW X5 is leagues above the four cylinder offered in the entry level GLE 350. And as you say, it seems that BMWs are overall more reliable too.
