Lathering for some of us in this hobby is best part of the shave. I take my time as well in this step. To have all these great ingredients for the skin sit on my face feels luxurious and beneficial. I also enjoy watching different youtubers such as yourself lather.

Had this brush for over a year and I recently bought a Simpson t3 and in all honesty I prefer the yaqi as the Simpson has a handle for a child’s hand ,
It sometimes makes my hand cramp up too. Kevy 🙂

We just experienced our first hurricane of the season here on the coast of North Carolina, USA. Lots of forest debris but minimal damage in my immediate area. Tornado's struck north of my home and life was lost as a result.

I enjoyed this vid even more then others. The soap was made in Evansville Indiana, which is in my home state in the U.S. Small world when I see a man from Scotland using a product made in my back yard lol. Beautiful razor btw.

A lovely brush , I have the exact same one myself. Holds a ton of lather! more than enough for 3 passes and a head shave plus a face wash. Always that hot in the south of china where I asm so I shave with cold water. I don't know who has the most soaps, but I'd be in the divorce court if I had 26!, was hard enough getting all three basic proraso soaps! Looking forward too your top 5s

Great video Kevy. Really good question about the number of different soaps, I just counted 73 for PAA (not double counting original and CK6 versions) and 65 for Stirling (including the mentholated/glacial version’s since I think they smell a bit different due to the menthol). I may be out by one or two but looks like PAA has the most?
Also, have you ever tried Wizamet blades? They’re unbelievable. I used to always throw away after 4 uses, with a common theme being the first shave might be a little rough until the blade smoother out, and then it started to fade on the fourth use. For the Wizamet I’m currently on its 20th use and it’s performed better than any other blade for me.
I have tried some Wizamet but I need to revisit them. PAA is the winner then? Thanks for taking time to count them all. Cheers. Kevy 👍

Hey Kevy try this just for the fun of it. Once you get a good thick lather on your face push the brush into your cheek then let go of it and see if stays put. You'll get a good laugh if it does.

I have oily skin to begin with. If I used that balm after applying all the oils in that aftershave lotion like you did. I'd have enough leftover oil seeping out my pores to give my car an oil change let alone be dealing with small oil/puss pimple weepers on my next shave!

Active and retired scents included, I would think it has to be PAA. They release something every other day. Would never have guessed Blackship Grooming for the 26.
Can you post a link to the ptfe washers Kevy ? The TOBS tabacco does have a nice scent that lasts for hours. Mine arrived yesterday :)

Good evening Kevy! How is it going, mate? I love your lathers...always. In fact, your lathers are the bar. If mine don't look like yours, I consider it a fail. I fail often...lol. I am keen on trying that Outlaw razor, if I could convince Brian to ship it for free...oh, well. I hope they are in stock when I came return to Scotland. I don't recall, is that vintage Wilkinson Sword blade part of our exchange during my last visit? If so, I think I might have given you the 1976 Wilkinson Sword Master Chromium blade...those are good for 6 to 10 shaves. Those never seem to get tuggy; just stop cutting. You will feel the same buttery smoothness. I think Wilkinson Sword advertised those blade give a week's worth of shaves...I say that is true. YMMV. The temperature in Northeastern Kansas had been in the high 90's (F) with the feels like temperature around 110 F. It was awful. Today, it is a comfortable 74 F. I am so pleased. Curious to see a washer is needed. I thought maybe the washer was there for shipping purposes? Seems like a weak link for durability.
It protects the razor from getting marked when the handle is screwed into the base cap. Kevy 👍
He puts a washer on every razor. It's his normal procedure.

Can anyone tell me if a bit of green rust between the teeth of my 1930s Gillette new is dangerous/ harmful? I took it all off once with a brass brush but it came back very quickly.

Hi Ronnie. It is just verdigris...happens readily on copper and is harmless. You can remove it with metal polish and then apply a coat of paste wax...such as furniture wax. It will form a barrier to keep the verdigris from returning immediately. I keep it away on my NEW by using dish soap and toothbrush scrub and a hot water rinse plus blot drying after each use.
