Half the time I watch your videos I learn new fun historical facts. You should do a second channel where you just cover history. Could call it Erics History Workshop
@@KnarbMakes yes ok haha. crazy how the only way they could tell she was using it was because she was extra tired all the time. I would be using that badboy for naps
I really dig how restrained your terrain is, it's so easy to go overboard with oil washes and grime and rust effects and chains and pools of blood and ichor and million other things but your terrain always looks really classy for lack of a better term.
That dry ice was such a cool idea!!!!! I usually like colorful tables more, but it looked really cool with those classical structures! You are a huge inspiraiton!!!
I absolutely love your writing in this video. Your description starting at 3:30 is nothing short of poetic and the juxtaposition of your own voice "hell yeah!" with the poetic language is exactly what I come to your channel for. Keep up the great work!
It is a quote from a romantic poem called ozymandias by percy shelley. A perfect choice to combo with the torment aesthetic being about the fall of empires and mans hubris.
Love it when a video gets an audible reaction out of me. The dry ice got a jovial “oh fuck off” from me. This was so sick! Also Bloody Tears is awesome but nothing will top Encounter in MGS1 for me.
I love the amount of effort you put into researching historical architecture before beginning a project. Also, this video made me more interested in this game/setting than anything BMC has done.
Super cool! Loved the dry ice flowing down the aqueduct! All those ruined stone buildings make me think there should be tons of debris and gravel and stones in every nook and cranny, with dirt and dust and pigment powders all along the bottoms of the walls and structures
Sweet! Very nice job as usual Eric! As one of the playtesters for this game, I can tell you that you can definitly play it on lots of different types of terrain. That board you built is perfect. Also, I'm jealous that your value village had those cool angel figurines and statues! Mine had none, lol! I'm still looking so I can build some Idols appropriate terrain myself!
Fantastic build. I've loved seeing all the different takes on Idols of Torment come out since BMC has been working on the game. The dry ice fog in place of water is such an absolute mood that just punchs the build up a level. The riverway with aqueduct was a great choice. And yes, Bloody Tears absolutely slaps.
This is my favorite video so far, I can’t get tired of watching it... even more than the competition with Dark Matter Workshop... absolutely amazing and inspiring.
That's a fantastic build! Also, those Idols of Torment mini's are fantastic. I doubt I will ever get the game itself, but I might pick up some of those mini's anyway, they just have so much potential.
As always, you're making incredible and diverse content that shows off how to balance detail and effort so well. I am so glad I found your channel and I hope you keep up the amazing work.
Amazing work Eric. I have to say thanks as well from your channel ive learned the wonders of acrylic gesso for priming foam. So many headaches with trying to paint foam solved.
Man your channel is the best. But I think your quotes and cold humor are too underrated, people need to appreciate your genius, like today's citation from Ozymandias. Anyway this inspired me to build my first table, a horus heresy maccrage board!
11:54 Hahah, after you said you were adding bloody tears I was thinking about the song and then you started talking about it lol, but yeah top notch song, especially Myuu's piano cover beacuse THAT is *chef's kiss*
It's fun when one of you guys make a big move and everyone joins in. Such a different community from GI Joe fans...I think we all hate each other lol. This was an awesome and ambitious hellscape. Some of the shots at the end are just fantastic.
Loved the bloody tears on the statue head. Speaking of which, if you like the song, please check out the cover by The Megas. It's a vocal cover that totally grew on me.
Some of that concept art could worm it's way into being among my favourites' up there with certain fighting fantasy books and mordheim artwork... looks stunningly dark, sublime. They're almost Beksinski-esque... fantastic o.o wow..
Another Excellent build Eric! Maybe it's overkill, but I thought with the bleeding statue being the only non-monocromatic element, I'd be cool to seal of the riverbed and aqueduct for a water pump that flows blood (food colored water).
Bloody Tears is amazing, but for my money. 'The Best is Yet to Come' off of Metal Gear Solid 1 is the best video game song! But I might be slightly biased as an Irishman! Amazing video as always Eric!
Very cool build. The statue head was a particularly nice touch. Also: For my money... While Bloody Tears is an absolute, stone-cold classic, if we're talking classic NES tunes... I gotta give it up for the Wily Fortress Stage 1 Theme from Mega Man 2.
Universal Collapse from the Terraria Calamity OST is by far my favourite video game soundtrack ever. The feeling it gives you while you fight the final form of the Devourer of Gods is insane and has yet to be replicated in any other game I've played
The dry-ice mist was a nice touch... if you're up for experimenting in the future between builds why not try filming at 60fps and slowing the footage down as this will trick the eye into seeing scale differently (lots of 'Hollywood' explosions, fire and smoke are handled this way as it makes miniatures seem full scale). Epic build.
Bloody Tears is an amazing song! Recently I’ve also rediscovered Wicked Child, that ones really good too. Ooh, and the SNES version of Bloodlines. You could easily go on with Castlevania music XD
Bloody Tears is amazing for sure, but the best videogame music is hands down "Laurence, the First Vicar" from Bloodborne! the crescendo is just insane! :D anyways, love the build - especially the aqueduct. also, now i really want a wargaming board that looks like the hanging gardens of babylon! :P
I really like the reduced colour scheme on your Battlefield. It's so fitting for the setting! if you like the soundtrack to Castlevania. You should hear the soundtrack Oscar Araujo has written for _Castlevania Lords of the shadows 2_
Nice board. Very understated with the monochrome, but it works! My 2 cents, I think "Jounrey to Rome" from the Total War Rome game is one of the best bits of videogame music.
Yeeeeeeeeees
Yeeeeeees yeeeeeeeeeeeees yeeeeeeeesssssssss! Eric showcased your stuff like a boss 🔥🔥🔥
Bloody tears is totally one of the best song in any game, but tbh the whole Simphony of the Night OST was amazing
Super Castlevania 4 best version
@@daveeol1987 big facts

Damn, that dry ice fog really sold the idea of it being a creepy, post-theopocalyptic wasteland.
Love the aquaduct.
Ozymandias by Percy Shelly is one of my favorite poems ever, so I appreciate the sneaky reference in this video!
😀
Ozymandias, "hmmm... I feel that you've really caught my frown, and wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command. Well done, sculptor."
Love the statue idea used as interactive terrain, so cool

Oh MYGOD that dry ice is BALLER
Your build really matches Jeremy's vision for Idols of Torment. Great job!
Love it when a video gets an audible reaction out of me. The dry ice got a jovial “oh fuck off” from me. This was so sick! Also Bloody Tears is awesome but nothing will top Encounter in MGS1 for me.
Such a great themed board! I'm in love with everything Idols of Torment is inspiring.
I love the amount of effort you put into researching historical architecture before beginning a project. Also, this video made me more interested in this game/setting than anything BMC has done.
The people demand more dry ice scenes! Do it again! That was mindblowing.
I love the reference to Ozymandyas. One of my favourite poems of all time.

Been loving the verticality/3d nature of these boards. Badass!

I looked on your mighty work and despaired. Great stuff!
This is great. Love the monochrome aesthetic.
This is a great build. That game sounds awesome. I love the mortal souls on the board. Interesting objective.
Go with it some more! Imagine that grim dark demon world!! A brilliant effort! Keep going!! Eric rocks!!!
That's a fantastic build! Also, those Idols of Torment mini's are fantastic. I doubt I will ever get the game itself, but I might pick up some of those mini's anyway, they just have so much potential.
Great war gaming board, sells really well I’ve learnt a lot and the dry ice was a great touch
this is really great. i could see using a small smoke machine while playing to keep the fog rolling like some sort of obscuring effect on ranges.
The best videogame soundtrack has in my opinion Sunless Skies. It is fantastic.
So great to see the classical insipired board! Not enough of this kind of variety. Awesome work.
Man, fantastic work. Very nice. Love that dry ice rolling over the broken bridge.
Amazing, looked such fun to build and the dry ice was the icing on the top!!!
11:00 You just gotta let the first 2 colour washes fully dry individually before moving to the all-over gray wash!
for a while i was convinced AG1 was a figment of my some more news binges
Whoa, it all looked amazing and then you brought the dry ice... That build looks seriously incredible! Great job Eric!
This looks great, but damn, the lighting you decided to use at the final reveal was completely killer.
What a super cool game table. Very nicely done.

03:31 love the Ozymandias poem quote
Thumb up for quoting Ozymandius; table looks great too

Great build man!! Love how this turned out!
3:56 "Is he gonna make an Ozmandias reference?"
4:00 "Hell yeah!"
Now that is a Bloody amazing terrain piece indeed!
When it comes to musical bloody tears, Blue Jeans and Bloody Tears cannot be beaten.

that fog coming down the river was a great shot!
Each time you use your hot wire cutter for buildings it takes me one step closer to buying a wire cutter! Incredible
Just do it Phil. I'm am serious. If you enjoy crafting terrain it's almost a no-brainer
It's Incredible!
Bloody Tears is certainly my favorite Castlevania song!
This setting is cool
Right? Im stoked aboutnit
11:58 Agreed! And if you haven't heard it already then I'd recommend Smooth McGroove's acapella rendition!
Loved the bloody tears on the statue head. Speaking of which, if you like the song, please check out the cover by The Megas. It's a vocal cover that totally grew on me.
You have an amazing talent - completely awesome build. Love to see a "playthrough" of the game on this board. 😀👍
Great build, very atmospheric!

Yep. That does look bloody good. 👍🏻
Epic! As always! Fantastic build, and even better video.
Great board! Jeremy must be very proud
Love a good Ozymandias reference. There aren’t enough romantic poetry references in terrain vids.
Great looking board. Lots of playability options. Very nice
You have the kind of aesthetic that would make a grandma say “he’s a nice boy”
Great build as always and it surprised me to see some stop motion
That was my brothers doing. I hope to do
More in future
Value Village! Sounds like you're a fellow Canadian. I shopped there a few times for tabletop terrain . Excellent choice
I am just actually making a couple of terrain pieces for Idols of Torment, and I had bought your Wilton greek columns from the ruined skyscraper!!
Bloody Tears is amazing, but for my money. 'The Best is Yet to Come' off of Metal Gear Solid 1 is the best video game song! But I might be slightly biased as an Irishman!
Amazing video as always Eric!
Very cool! Seems like a quick and 'easy' board for most people to make on their own!
Very nice job! I think some few plants here and there will add a lot
THAT is an awesome table!

I once daydreamed about an aqueduct for Frostgrave and now I might just make one. Thanks!
That dry ice was awesome
That ozymandias reference was 😙🤌
I agree with you about "Bloody Tears".
Good job, looking at this build let the fantasy fly. Well done
so many good ideas here that I will be stealing! thank you for the awesome video!
Wow, another great build thanks for the video!
love your videos, wish you made more!

Awesome terrain!
Btw I liked the music in this video.
Lovely work as always! The game looks interesting
You are a beast. Thanks for the inspiration brother. Keep up the awesomeness
"The only thing I know for real" from Metal Gear Rising would give any other video game song a run for it's money
Bloody Tears is an amazing song! Recently I’ve also rediscovered Wicked Child, that ones really good too. Ooh, and the SNES version of Bloodlines. You could easily go on with Castlevania music XD
6:46 ever seen Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust? There's a monster that mocks D and peddles around on a unicycle.
This reminds me of that scene.
Amazing setting, great build & great video Eric!
Re. Greatest video game OST, surely Hades is in with a chance? On theme, too!

Serenity from resident evil 4
Bloody awesome, I love it! 😍
Love bloody tears, but I have a soft spot for the theme from Chrono Trigger as my favorite video game song. Dope build as always tho bro
