Facts!
For me this song is so personal to them. Since Avi went his own way, and so many people still talk about Avi being gone. And for Scott and Mitch, it's about learning to accept who they are and always have been. Scott in particular has always seemed to shy away from the uniqueness that Mitch has learned to embrace, even though they are both gay. You can see it in the choice of his outfit and the line of green eyeliner under his amazing blue eyes. Mitch is under the sheet as he is transforming, like a butterfly. Mitch was a shy kid and didn’t know how he fit into this world. He was not happy because he was gay and didn't know what that meant for him. As he grew he learned to accept who he is. And like the caterpillar and the butterfly, he evolved and now he knows who he is and how happy he is, and wants to share it with the world. He has emerged as a butterfly. And even for Matt, still feeling like maybe he doesn't belong with the group. You know he hears/read the comments about Avi, how much must that hurt him? Is he allowed to be happy to be part of this group? He only wants to be accepted as a true member of the group, not just "the guy who replaced Avi" And YES he has a right to be happy now, as part of this amazing group and the phenomena that is Pentatonix. And Kevin, well Pentatonix wouldn't be Pentatonix without Kevin. He is so talented, so much more than just a beatboxer. He is truly multitalented. And at least to me, his happiness to be who he is and where he is just shines in every video. And how difficult must it be sometimes to be Kristie? She's the only female in the group. And the guys get most of the recognition and attention and do most of the songs. I was blown away by her Be My Eyes. She's so amazing, and deserves just as much happiness as the guys, and she is a critical part of the group, not just "the only girl".
I love Avi, and I love Pentatonix, and I honestly think the best thing that could have happened to the 6 was for Avi to go his own way ... The music he makes now projects all that he is as a person ... and I think Pentatonix had never sounded better than with Matt ... Many talk about missing Avi, but he has not died, he only evolved in the path of self-knowledge, as Pentatonix has also done ... old videos are part of their history as are their current songs, as for PTX ... Avi would not currently work in the group, and that does not mean it is something bad or sad. And I find you so right in everything you say, and if one takes it to his own life, at some point we could all say "I'm happy now". A huge hug and I apologize for my spelling and grammar mistakes, I only speak Spanish and I got help from Google Translate.

I remember seeing an old tweet from Kirstie and it was a letter to her body. She apparently used to hate her breast to much that she would do her best to hide them. I saw some comments from people thinking she got surgery on her body to make them bigger.

It's a coming of age and the group has evolved. I loved Avi and still do. His voice is out of this world and I'm a sucker for bass voices, and it is amazing that he did so much for the group as they became famous, but eventually accepted his priorities and went back to his family when needed, then forged a less stressful way of doing what he wanted to do, and very successfully. He helped make PTX become what the were and was a standout voice. Equally impressive is the way that Matt was able to step into the group, sing what had been Avi's parts but also create new dynamics with in the group. A different temperament, a voice that fitted in so well, and a personality to match. He's a special person for managing all that so maturely and I'm loving the new ventures. Whereas you could always hear Avi, might say couldn't miss him because his voice is unique, Matt is more part of the fabric, but if you listen you sure know he's there more than holding it all together. Where they've all grown, and certainly not forgetting Kirstie's growth (she's worked so hard lately),Matt has grown tenfold and his repertoire is growing rapidly. We're so lucky we've had them evolve so seamlessly. I do hope they carry on and that they can accommodate any more life changes. We can still say each member is integral to the whole.
Everyone is talking about the other members but can we take out time to appreciate Kevin the most underrated member of ptx clapping and beatboxing at the same time. It ain't easy. MAD RESPECT SIR with lots of love from Nigeria
Oh, no doubt. Without Kevin's mad skills this group just would not be the same. Every member is key to their success. The feel changed for me when Avi left. Don't get me wrong, I like Matt too, but the overall feeling I get from the group just isn't quite as haply and peaceful as when Avi was still here. This new release gets really close though. Like 99% of the way back to thay peaceful happy feeling. There was always just such a peace in Avi's eyes and smile.
Thomas Russell it’s ironic that the peace actually returned to the group when Matt joined. He has his nickname, “Drama Free Matt Sallee”, for a reason

not for me. their songs are all on a high artistic level, but they lack to stand out. they have no part you will remember like for example the melody after billie eilishs "duh" in bad guy, "i came in like a wrecking ball" from cyrus or "oppa gagnam style" from psy.
their covers on the other hand, especially the artist compilations, focus on such rememerable parts and combined with their enorm talent create awesome music.

But none of their songs grow this slowly. For some reason a lot of people i think are unaware they released this. Maybe because they released so many videos with such little time between them right before this. So this didn’t appear in people’s recommended. Also, I’ve heard this video isn’t available in some countries for some reason.
This song is more about the loss of someone and overcoming the sadness, they were all depicting sadness at the beginning, the rain, the sheet. Then you are ready to move on....sometimes it feels wrong to be happy after a loss. I love this song asking if it is ok to be happy now? This song came out just after I lost my dog and yes it hit home. Any loss is personal and takes time, but its ok to be happy now!

@@galdwynn2868 I believe it was a true smile when this video was filmed last fall. A lot has happened since then. He did an Instagram Q&A today where he described quarantine as "brutal". It has been really rough on many people. I believe it was that, instead of not being into the music. I think we will all be happier when things get back to semi-normal.

Kevin is so ridiculously multi-talented it's not even funny. Everybody in this group is seriously talented, with astoundingly beautiful voices. But there's just something extraordinarily special about Mitch, and his voice.
I don't know if you guys will see this but I wanted to let you know. I live in a city in Queensland, Australia and unfortunately you're not too well known here. Though this morning I turned my radio for the first time in ages (because they don't put PTX music on there and I love you guys way too much) and too my surprise this song was playing only five minutes later.
I recognised the song as soon as Kevin started clapping and kinda went crazy because it's the first time I've heard you guys on the radio down here.

@@fikilemnguni9305 I’m subscribed to this guy named Xureck who is a beatboxer and he reacts to PTX videos and he’s amazing to watch as he really acknowledges and breaks down what Kevin is doing and even demonstrates to you how he’s doing it or shows you alternatives. It’s so interesting and gives you such an appreciation for Kevin 😊 he hasn’t been doing it for long so he doesn’t have a lot of videos yet but he’s definitely worth a follow 😊

@Maegi Saccomanno everyone here is original to the group formed in 2011 for The Sing Off except for Avi who chose to leave in 2017. Matt Sallee has been the bass since then. Avi was unhappy and it effected the whole group. They are much happier and healthier now that everyone wants to be there.
I love this song so much. Super catchy. Also love that Kirstin, Mitch and Scott were all about wearing bright and beautiful makeup and Kevin and Mat are like: NOPE. :-)

Love, love, love the cinematography in this. The black and white, the introduction of single colors breaking in, to full, bright, happy colors. The story, from sad, longing and wistful, to happy, confident and self assured. The faces of each member transforming as the song goes on. It’s awesome. Whoever filmed and edited this video did an amazing job! The song, as always, is outstanding, and all 5, Scott, Mitch, Kirstin, Kevin and Matt, absolutely killed it. Fantastic 👍
