Why has this got so few viewings. This is Pentatonix at their very best. Kirstin's voice...wow. The harmonies...epic. Mitch's runs are awesome. The entire arrangement is perfect.

The harmonies: They start right at the beginning. By the end of the first line, i have goosebumps and moist eyes. Then I listen to it about 9 more times.
While I do love their original songs and I listen to them regularly, I do understand and acknowledge without malding that a majority of their (YT-)audience come for their covers and there's nothing wrong with that from either perspective. They wouldn't cover and mash if they begrudged the success of these in comparison to their originals.
In my opinion these original songs "Be My Eyes" and "Happy Now" should have a lot more views and likes, they are wonderful, I feel like I can just give a like

I don’t understand why this never made it to the radio. Better than 80% of the noise on there.
Pentatonix are more than just their Christmas songs and people need to realise that. People have been begging for originals and now that they're getting them, they don't have as much views as their other videos although others are also very recent. People need to recognise them as Pentatonix and not just an acapella group covering Christmas songs because they are so much more than just that! They are way too underrated. 😖

There's just this thing where people don't listen to ptx anymore because Avi left and there's no respect for Matt and stuff and it's spreads to people outside the hardcore fandom which J think takes away so much and so many views as well and that's so toxic to Matt, the band, to us and to everyone.

Rarely does a lyric speak to me like this one:

As someone who has misstepped so many times, yet has found the one who rebuilds the ground beneath his feet every single time, this wrecks me. Blessed beyond measure.

I'm not sure how you guys keep revolutionizing acapella, but ever damn time you release a song I'm floored by how good it is. From your first songs, to the Christmas album, to today.... Just crushing it. You're all amazing. You deserve all the recognition, I absolutely love this. Gosh darn LOVE IT!
That is the reason why they won because everytime they present something, they keep giving something new while still having their identity. Other groups in Sing-off were still tied to the ideal standard and stereotype of what acapella is. That is also why a lot of acapella groups try to follow or have and develop a similar sound. You don't see a lot of aca groups achieve the same success PTX has. There have been aca groups who came close but in my opinion, they really were not able to keep the momentum.
PTX just never dies and I am happy that there are people who love them too
I've been here since The Sing-Off and I love everything about this. Gorgeous production, takes advantage of their all-time blend, layered but still sounds like their voices, beatboxing sounds like drums, great lead from Kirstin, plays with minimalism like Lorde and Enya. Just stunning all around. I hope the forces that be push this to radio because this track really deserves it.

@@melinalytra Check out their self-titled album that came out in 2015, there's plenty of editing in all the tracks so it's nothing new for them. They've been layering their tracks for more than 5 years now. Plus it's only vocal layering and a bit of reverb (which are very basic effects used in almost all pop songs), they will be able to perform it live by tweaking the arrangement a little.

It was the best night of my life. The sold out audience was fantastic. The crowd at a concert is better then any event involving a live crowd. It's a lot of fun singing and dancing along. A little heads up, when the concert ends you will feel sad that the concert is over and can last a couple days. But at the end of the day it's an unforgettable and a happy experience. Hopefully they will tour again when the coronavirus is under control. Good luck with getting that experience.

@Zoe Latimer I know. Just my way of saying things. I've been following them since the first night on the sing off when I sat there with my jaw dropped. On every performance. And they've just gotten better and better and better and better............... Been my fav group since then. I've been making a living playing music so long I seldom make it to the end of a song much less listen over and over, but this group? Oh my! I finally had to go see them live to see if they can do it on stage. They can! I got to see one of Avi's last performances with them and I loved him, but to his credit, Matt has carried on quite well. Hard to do when replacing someone as good as Avi. Matt's a bit different, but in a good way.
A good singer is someone who can change the tone and pitch of their voice at will, and for Kirstin to do it so effortlessly shows how amazing she is. She deserves the world.
So spot on there all talented should get regonised for it

I would talk about Kirstin if I had anything to say that not everyone had thought and/or said already. However. I don't see a lot of people talking about Kevin. Usually, my brain just kind of forgets to register his part the first listen because it blends in so well and I am already struggling to process the others, but with this... Good lord, it registered, too good for my brain to tune out.

@@maribethalvero9015 she hasnt always been confident. She didnt feel her voice was up to par. The group helped her. Kevin didnt originally sing and the group encouraged him to take lessons and practice. You hear him a lot more now than you did in the beginning of the groups existence.
I love how natural their outfits are in this video. Kirstin's hair let down and Kevin wearing a hoodie. It's a nice change from the very poppy costumes with crazy bright colors. Everything about the video is so visually pleasing to the eye. Especially Kirstin.

Yes, they are still social distancing. The Home EP was recorded at their individual residences. If I understand correctly, they all got tested and these latest ones are being recorded in a studio, with everyone still distancing from each other.
I believe that singing has been found to be a "super spreader" activity. (makes sense; there is a lot of exhaling and projection.) You heard, back in the beginning, about that choir of 60 people who socially distanced but still got sick? Last I heard, 45 of them were sick within two weeks and two of them died.
I'm concerned about anyone going into a recording studio but they seem to be taking all of the currently known precautions. and, like the rest of us, some of them were starting to go bonkers staying at home.
