Ruroc EOX first ride impressions (NOT SPONSORED)

- While I have no prior experience with Ruroc or their helmets, I can say confidently that this helmet is built to a high standard. I don't think they are quite there regarding the refinement of the big brands such as Arai, Shoei, AGV, etc. but are getting close. Some small things could be improved such as better sealing around the visor and more defined detents on the ratcheting system for the visor. All around it seems to be a nice offering that brings a unique take to the motorcycle helmet industry. While I cannot attest to prior helmets such as the Atlas series, I would not hesitate to recommend the EOX to someone who wants something just a bit different than the rest of the crowd. This is the most informative review video I was able to find on this helmet..most others were filled with an extreme amount of negative bias but this was very straightforward. Thank you

I have the Atlas 3.0 and ridding a naked bike over 65mph I can say the helmet catches a lot of wind. According to your video it sounds like they fixed a lot of that issue. I also like that you aren't a big name creator reviewing this and also never owned one. Definitely helps with my decision to buy or not to buy one. Thank you
It may have more wind resistance than something like an X15, Pista, etc but it’s nothing super distracting that I can tell. I got up to about 85-90mph or so and it seemed perfectly fine. I also tilt my head forward as I increase my speed so that has a lot to do with how much wind catches under the helmet. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with the Eox if you still like the Ruroc helmets. man id love the opportunity to test out a helmet at one of their events. I wont lie, i love the aesthetic of the helmet and the vision field seems ground breaking. i know theyre a new company but it seems with a constant release of helmets every year, theyre acting quickly on the feedback they are getting and will only improve with time. great review vid
They continually make revisions for sure. Much different than typical companies that have development cycles lasting years and hardly ever listen to customer feedback

How did it breath while riding? Was the airflow bad?
It breathed very good! A bit more so than other helmets due I believe air flow coming in from the top of the visor where it's supposed to seal. Airflow is probably the best of any helmet but also does make it louder as a result.

Did it rub your nose? Mine does that and I know I'm not the only one that has that problem.
Not that I can recall. If it did, it was unnoticeable to me. This was a Medium helmet too and I’m between a medium/large. The Atlas 4.0 in the weird ML size fit my size more comfortably but I didn’t ride in it.
My rurock atlas 4 rubbed on the end of my nose, particularly when going faster due to the wind against the helmet. I purchased thicker cheek pads and never had that problem again
Do they come with Bluetooth or do you need to buy that separately ?
It has the new connector interface built in, but doesn't come with communicator from what I understand.

On their website it says the Shockwave is free with the EOX.
@@3ron it wasn't included when they launched, but looks like they're doing it as a promotion now.
You don't even have 1000 subscribers, so of course this isn't sponsored. But the problem with Ruroc is all the sponsored channels they do promote. People want to believe it's a great helmet. People with little experience with real high end helmets. They like them for the looks, but grow sick of the quality issues in a short time. Issues such as the seals coming off, weird noises, such as whistles and wind, sticking on the pads coming loose and shields that don't close well or are crooked because the molds aren't good. Ruroc tried to get the Atlas right four times but failed. Now they change the name in an effort to, yet again, trick people into thinking they created a better helmet. Ruroc will be history in a few years.
Nobody scrolling can see how many subs I have though so hat’s the purpose of listing it in the title. I’m well aware of the problems Ruroc has had in the past but I didn’t get into it because I’ve never owned one and many other videos go into it in detail. I don’t think it’s a bad helmet, the tolerances are just not as tight and lacks the refinement of similar Helmets in the same price range. The eox seems like a step above their atlas 4.0. Personally I decided to go for an RF1400 though. I’d say it would be a great helmet if it was $250-$300. They gave me a 20% off code for the event but that’s just not enough for me to justify over a Shoei because I loved my RF1200 so much.

I am 100% motorcycle dude and you are 100% correct all around.
DON’T BUY RUROC - Pure garbage from a brand that only make expensive helmets that they come apart after a month of use max. I got two Ruroc 4.0 limited edition and one the rubbers come apart all over the bottom part of the helmet and the other the rubber broke around the visor plus one of the visors of the two helmets don’t close anymore. Think twice before buying this… and ruroc if you want to do your games feel free so I share the photos is this :)
Interesting… that might have changed with the EOX but hearing things like this makes me really hesitant. I will most likely end up getting a K6S or RF1400 as my next in a year or so.
@@BlackRiverRiderThey fixed a LOT of their issues on the Atlas 4.0, and seemed to have tackled even more on this Eox. I’d be cautious but wouldn’t write them off completely yet, new shockwave with Cardo looks like a great step forward too.

Brus, you’re super salty 😂 I have never bought a Ruroc, and I was super keen to get a proper review, which this video gave. Your video coupled with this comment makes you seem needy and salty and gives a very warped and very biased review. I’m sorry if they hurt you, clearly they did some damage 😢
@@michaelanders7809 I watched that video too and didn’t make the connection with the comment since he posted it several days before. I don’t understand either how you can review a helmet you’ve never tried. Ruroc is claiming this is a new helmet separate from the Atlas so it’s not fair to judge it based on prior Ruroc helmets. They can be an indication, but can also mean nothing at the end of the day.
