Even with the clutch is changing gears not so smooth (especially 3rd gear). Bmw has never known how to make a good gearbox with the boxer engine. Even in 1600GT (inline 6) is the gearbox a comedy. Yes, I have the RT. The reason for it is in something else. I dont need such a QS at all. This is not sportbike. I would prefer a good working automatic gearbox by RT. Not a QS.

      @@halettebrennen8460 thanks! From what I was able to find, "Mode 1 has the lowest sensitivity and allows rear wheel spin best suited for good road conditions. In Mode 2, traction control engages sooner for average conditions, and Mode 3 eliminates wheel spin for riding on wet or slippery roads." That being said, you really don't need traction control with this bike in my opinion. It doesn't have a lot of power and riding with it off promotes good throttle control learning. 5:20 They should keep people like you off of demo's if you don't know how to break in the engine properly. Maximum 5000 rpms for first 600 miles. RTFM, before you go ride.. Show some mechanical sympathy. You don't know what torque feels like until you ride a long stroke motor like a 2018 or newer Harley Davidson on a softail chassis. It starts at 1750 rpm on the 107 and 114's. Gobs, and Gobs of torque on a Harley. A short stroke motor that's overbore, like a BMW, just doesn't make torque. I own both a Softail Sport Glide and a 1250 GS Trophy. Two completely different power plants. One makes torque, the other makes horsepower. Quick shift is useful 3rd - 6th gear, the gap is clunky 1st-2nd due to neutral being in there too, and 2nd - 3rd is a big jump, hard for motor to rev match.

    • @BlackRiverRider
      @BlackRiverRider หลายเดือนก่อน

      This bike is part of a demo fleet, from the driving academy. It's already broken in and meant to be ridden however you want to, otherwise it wouldn't be given to the general public to ride. I've been on almost every newer Harley, even on the latest 121 CVO. It's actually the next video after this one if you did a little checking before making this post. They make torque sure, but due to being 300+ lbs heavier it's not nearly as noticeable. Thanks for showing your ignorance.

    Sir i have a question why we have to set shutter at 1/48 or 1/24 ?? Can you please Explain ?? Why not shutter at Auto ?

    • @BlackRiverRider
      @BlackRiverRider หลายเดือนก่อน

      No problem. You can set the shutter to auto, but unless it's low light it will raise the shutter to very high levels which gives the video a jittery/cell phone look because each frame of video will have very little blur. In order to achieve natural motion blur for video, a "180-degree shutter" method is used. This basically means that you want your shutter to double the frame rate you are recording at. If recording at 24fps, use 1/48 shutter. If recording at 30fps, use 1/60 shutter. For 60fps you will use a 1/120 shutter speed if it's going to be slowed down. The problem with this is action cameras have digital stabilization which needs a high shutter speed to work properly. When set to lower shutter speeds to match the 180-degree rule, it gives the video artifacts that shouldn't be there as reverse motion blur because the camera tries to even out movement by shifting the video in the opposite direction. You can eliminate this by turning off stabilization but then it usually looks too shaky. Auto shutter will always give the best exposure and stabilization but at the expense of motion blur.

    After just watching your HD Street Glide review . And seeing Your BMW 1250 RT review. You have been on both in the last 2 weeks. If you were going to spend the $30k plus to buy one. Which would it be ?

      Just sold my 2022 Street Glide ST and just ordered a Triple Black 1250 RT. With the BMW RT you will not have to practice for hours and watch all the instructional videos on how to do tight 12 foot u-turns as the RT just makes it soooo easy and is 200 pounds lighter. Oh and the insurance is half as much for the BMW and has 3 year warranty.

    Had to give a Tarheel a Sub . I'm about 1hr west of Charlotte. Just wondering. How tall are you?. Only asking because you said you were not getting as much wind as on the Road Glide.

      Thank you! I am between 5'9" and 5'10". The Road Glide was giving me more buffeting than the Street Glide. I believe this was due to the fairing being pushed out further on the RG whereas it was closer on the SG.

    Nice bike. But at that price it should be. That all black is beautiful. But as far as comparing it to the Challenger, Harley has been responding and playing catchup to the Polaris bikes since 2008. That Victory 106 was (and still is) a beast. So is the suspension. We (consumer) win when companies compete.

      Agreed. I think with the new models though they have caught up. There's strengths and weaknesses to both. I don't think Indian has a model comparable to the CVO ST, but it's way overpriced too.

    Look at this place it's empty !! that video only proves that nobody gives a F about HD anymore, overpriced POS.

      @BlackRiverRider 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While they are overpriced, they are not junk by any means. It was a cloudy day with scattered showers, so that had a lot to do with the crowds. I didn't show the 200+ other people at the dealer and vendors. Only the demo section.
