    I really like the way you pick these flatties up with your hand around its nose while cradling it and avoiding the gill spikes . Very good technique

    Awesome vids mate and im digging your responses to other comments and attitude. Spread the love mate 🤙 100% agree with treble stingers. Single stingers are the go on plastics chasing big mouths. Keep the vids coming👊

      Thank you so much! I really appreciate it brother!! Yeah I'm definitely gonna be sticking to single hook stingers from now on, or maybe experiment with putting a treble a bit further towards the front of the plastic, but we'll see, I'm just so scared of getting a really bad hook up on an awesome fish I really want to send back healthy. Regardless thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! Hope to see you around here more! Plenty more videos on the way! All the best 🫡

    i was doing the same thing as you never hade a set of lip grips but best buy ever havent goten spiked in ages

    • @PootuffyFishing

      Do you use metal lip grips or plastic? Because metal lip grips can actually damage the flatties mouths quite a bit I have heard, but plastic ones should be fine! Thank you for your feedback though! I'll have to avoid being spiked more in future 😂 happens too many times :)) Thanks for watching!

      Thank you so much!! Really appreciate the kind words :)) Try fishing with bigger soft plastics and fish in super shallow water at the start of the falling tide, the big flatties will push up into the shallows to hunt, especially when the falling tide starts in the late afternoon/evening, I alway catch the biggest flatties just before sunset! Hope this helps :))

      Thank you! Really appreciate that, I do really like the rod, but I feel like I haven't used it long enough or properly put it through its paces to decide whether it's truely worth the price. It is definitely an amazing rod, but I want to use it more before I make my mind up :))

    Hey pootify, what weedles hooks do you use?

    • @PootuffyFishing
      @PootuffyFishing  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! The weedless hooks I use are BKK Titans. For soft plastics this size (6.5 inch) I used a size 6 BKK Titan, I wouldn't necessarily go bigger than a size 8 or 10 for flathead because they might start to struggle fitting the whole hook in their mouth. Hope this helps, thanks for watching! 🫡

      Yeah my best are: two that were 85cm, a 84cm, an 83.5cm and an 81.5cm. Yet to get one in the 90s! But I have a good feeling I'm gonna beat my pb before the summer is up! Working really hard for them at the moment and fishing everyday!!
