@@OsiasSpeaks Major quake zone two hit in 1988 another in 1990, the Raymond fault line runs right on Euclid above the San Antonio hills, Upland quake in 1988 was a 5.7, the 1990 quake was a 5.6 caused damage. Caused damaged to the trail of the Modonna statue on Euclid Ave.

Upland had a Population of about 12,000 back in the Early 70s. It was all Citrus Groves and houses. It was great back then.

As an Australian who has visited the states many times I always stay in Upland, the town and it's people are beautiful and welcoming. Upland also has a big historical connection to the Australian town of Mildura.

I have lived in upland for my entire life and I recommend coming here. Great city but some down sides are the further you go down the higher the crime rate, street races happen every once in a while, but the police here are friendly and they do their job well. If you are planning on living here I recommend finding a house on the northern side because crime rate is lower, people are very friendly and you have good access to Mt. Baldy, and shopping center (the colonies)
Hey Payton, I typically see that most cities near the 210 the further south you go the more crime, and less expensive the homes become. I definitely hear the car races from time to time, though I never see them. Thanks for the comment!

Upland seems to be a nice city overall… if I had the money I’d move over there…..

Below foothill that’s where the crime is, people do get robbed, assaulted, even sometimes shot here… it’s not no Dino or Pomona but it has it’s fair share of crime and gangs

I went to school in Upland K-12. I have lived in two areas of Texas. I moved to south Fontana in 2016. That is about ten miles away from Upland.
Upland seems to breed stuck up self centered people. I have met good people in Upland. Almost all the good people I met in Upland have moved to other cities. They were all happy to leave Upland because they hated Upland people.
The area I live in is about 95% Latino. Being white makes me an ethnic minority in Fontana. I still like Fontana way better than Upland.

I don't know but good question, when did you live here last?
Claremont, Montclair, Upland, Ontario, and Rancho are pretty good about removing spray painted tags and patrolling areas where groups of people might "congregate." Upland does use some subcontracted emergency services. It seems most trouble (street racing, assaults, etc.) occurs during the late-night/early morning "closing time" hours. Upland north of Foothill is pretty nice. (Ontario resident commenting)
I've lived here for 10 years and I can honestly say, the last 3 years I've seen a vast decline in the overall well being for safe living for families. Sure, Upland like any town, has sketchy areas to it but as long as you're doing your day-to-day business and live above Foothill Ave there's not much to worry about. Granted, it's nowhere near as bad as downtown San Bernadino, Pomona, Ontario or East LA; but the amount of homeless drug users taking residence in nearly every park south of Foothill and wandering nearly on every street is unreal. Domestic abuse, shootings, stabbings and theft are on the rise, what once used to be a pretty chill suburb has started to become an overpriced dream of what used to possibly be before my time here. If you have the financial means to live above 16th Ave, you'll find it pretty quiet. Other than that, good luck.

If rich you can live in Upland CA, your poor you are not welcomed that been my experience from some residents.
VERY TRUE! THEY ARE ALSO KNOWN FOR NOT PUBLISHING THE TRUE MURDERS, RAPES, AND ABUSE OF THE CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN THEIR COMMUNITY. HOW THE POLICE MISTREAT AND PHYSICALLY ABUSE ALL OF COLOR! THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ALLOWS ABUSE WITHIN THE SCHOOLS AND DONT TAKE ACTION. KIDS OF COLOR WHO HAVE EARNED FREE RIDES TO COLLEGE ARE PASSED TO THE WHITE KIDS ONLY. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND LIVING HERE AT ALL. I RECALL A BLACK GIRL/ TEENAGER THAT WAS MURDERED BETWEEN 2005-2016 ON BASELINE-WEST OF BENSON AVE. SHE WAS CHASED, SHOT IN THE HEAD, AND SET ON FIRE IN THE FEILD NEXT TO 210 FREEWAY. JUST AWEFUL ! THERE IS A STAR BUCKS, WENDYS , A WHOLE FOODS, AND NEW HOMES ON THE LAND WHERE THAT GIRL DIED.... I LOOKED FOR HER STORY AND IT WAS NEVER PUBLISHED FOR THE UPLAND DAILY PAPER. IT WAS PUBLISHED IN THE POMONA AREA. DIDNT MENTION SHE WAS KILLED IN UPLAND CA. LITTLE TO NO INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED. JUST STATED SHE DIED AND WAS FROM POMONA! SO NO... DONT MOVE THERE. NO ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHILDREN EXCEPT PARKS, DRUGS, AND YMCA WHICH THEY SHOULDN'T BE TRUSTED! SO DONT MAKE VIDEOS LYING TO PEOPLE IN ORDER TO GET THEM TO MOVE THERE OR HAVE THEM THINK ITS MORE THAN WHAT I JUST SAID.

I live in Upland and there is nothing impressive or inviting about the downtown area. I have no interest in taking my family there for a meal or to have a drink after work. I would be more inclined to travel to Claremont who has a much nicer downtown area or even to Pasadena which is even better. Upland Country Club is trash and the golf course was all burnt out. I'm not a golfer but I played the course with a buddy of mine who plays a lot and neither of us were impressed. Please don't waste your time going there. The city isn't very diverse either in my opinion.
