A lot of people don't realize how Peter saying 'Good riddance' isn't just a quip. As far as he knows, he's just killed Sandman, and he has absolutely no problem with it, showing how much the symbiote has corrupted him Edit: to all the edgelords in the comments saying that sandman deserved to die, or that I would 'defend rapists, murderers etc', the world isn't black and white. And go rewatch the damn movie. Sandman didn't want nor mean to kill uncle Ben, he only did so by accident and he felt remorse over it. Sandman is NOT A BAD PERSON. What's more is that when Aunt May found out that Sandman had been 'killed' by Spider-Man, she was horrified. And at the end of the movie, Peter forgives Sandman. If the victims (Peter, Aunt May) don't hate Marko, and are able to forgive him, why can't you?
I know people give this movie a lot of hate. But this is one of the scenes in it that saves it all for me. This scene shows how extreme Peters hatred and anger has become. He embraces the pain to fuel him to destroy. His ark of peace at the finale when he forgives Flint is amazing. This plot line ties together so well.
Fr and even tho you shouldn’t necessarily be making plot points in your head it’s nice to see how many plants were in this movie showing what could’ve been like the harry and peter arc was tied up in this movie so beautifully venom is legit just a plot device to drive it forward and it doesn’t feel bad venom still just as a representation of peters anger confusion and hate is a great character JUST for that reason. Sandman being the voice of making the right decisions even in the depths of accusations and revenge Peter saw the man who murdered his uncle someone who he thought was so callous ask for forgiveness see that he was only ever trying to save his daughter. Peter learns so much so hard in this film it’s hard to not see what raimi had in mind and just enjoy the movie. Glad ppl are seeing it for what it is
Not really, in Spiderman 2, when doc ock broke the tower clock's massive hand and threw them down to spidey, he webbed it and launched them back straight to ock, which could've killed him instantly.
Love it when he screams “everything!!!” While Uncle Ben’s death made Peter more responsible and saved a lot of people it has also been a never ending source of guilt for him and has brought him much pain and misery and he still lost the man who raised him. All of that is perfectly encapsulates in just Peter saying his death means “everything”
Seriously as a kid k never realized how savage this scene was, Peter was straight up trying to murder sandman, and as far as he knew he did it. It's so far off from the peter that we saw in the 2 other movies, I actually think this is one of the best representations of the symbiote, I truly hope that if we ever get Tom Holland to wear the symbiote that it will be something similar
Actually the theory of venom eats spiderman is very popular and its probably true, tom holland’s spiderman cant handle venom because venom has a better chance and killed villians more powerful than spiderman.
This is the only scene showing him actually fighting in the black suit, but holy crap they really made it count, we get a real feel for just how insanely powerful and vicious Spidey can be when he's not holding back.
As far as I remember, Sam Raimi's Spiderman never tried to kill his enemy when not wearing symbiote suit. This scene shows that symbiote suit makes him more powerful, but it makes him lose his morality
Yeah, if he wasn’t made out of sand, he would be punching off his skin, bones, and muscle. Makes you realize just how much he has to hold back in fights.
One thing I realized is that the symbiote didn't actually make him stronger, just made him more confident AND more agressive, the thing is that red suited spider man mostly attacks just to knock out and shit. But when he wants to make it real, he has a strong ass fight. You can see that when the green Goblin provoked Peter saing he was gonna "have fun" with MJ, Peter just kicked Norman's ass in minutes. In the comics, Peter drops like two freakin' buildings only using his webs. Sorry for the giant text and for the bad english :D
1:25 I liked how raimi's Spiderman was never submissive. Even after getting hit by the trains a few times he manages to give Marko a super punch. Now that was BADASS
That "return to sender" hook is one of the things that stuck with me most from this movie. It displays such animosity and intent, that Peter was able to immediately rebound into a hard counter. Just pure genius.
I love how the suit really shows his dark side of him. Literally stops pulling his punches. And that sucker punch at 1:32 alone should’ve killed him, if not for sandman’s abilities. Black suit just hits different 👌
@@LOMAZKO7 Or have his entire jaw ripped off like what happened to Scorpion in the Superior Spider-Man comic in which Doc Ock took over Peter's body and, at some point in time, easily tore off Scorpion's jaw with a single punch when he didn't hold back (Doc wasn't even aware of how much raw power Peter's body held until that moment). At that point, Doc realized that all this time, Peter's been giving him love taps so as to not obviously kill him. Whether Sandman's head or jaw gets separated from his body, he's dead if he were a normal human.
Tobeys acting is top tier fr, the way he shows anger and sadness is so good and he gets hate for it cuz he don’t look pretty af when he cries lmao, that “everything” is iconic. On point with the “I hate u” from Star Wars revenge of the sith
What I love about this scene is that it’s the only time Parker hunts a villain for a personal motive. Not because a love one is in danger, not because he’s harming innocents, but because he wants revenge. Edit: This is in the context of the Rimi films, not Spider-Man as a character.
@@SpellNcheck Yes, but this was the first time it was unwarranted. Sandman hadn’t killed anyone, not like Goblin did. He went after Sandman not because he was a threat, but because he wanted revenge.

Ok can we all agree that this is the most violent and intense superhero movie scene ever?It pumped up my adrenaline everytime I watched it as a kid and now as well.
Benjamin Rivera it was a good movie I loved the concept of the black suit it’s like when Superman got the red kryptonite in Superman 3. I love when a hero turns evil-ish
In my personal opinion, the delivery of Tobey yelling "EVERYTHING!" is one of the best moments in acting history. I don't know how he made that one word have SO MUCH emotion behind it
Legit So much emotion for a character who's face you don't see 70% of the time Thats what the other spideys lack, they don't show much range and emotion in their voices
1:30 the instant recovery he did from rebounding off the side of a moving train to punch Sandman in the face was so damn badass and satisfying. The symbiote definitely had a few pluses despite its minuses.
Considering how durable, fast and agile spider-man is anyway, you can only imagine how amplified his rebounding and processing speed was. Synapses firing lightening fast.
It also act like Armor using its substance to reduce damage and apparently a healing factor Although Spider-Man wasn’t really injured to need it But in his later fight with Harry the Symbiote apparently did save him from a fatal wound when Harry tried stabbing him with a knife It did look on one hand Peter stopped Harry in time from fully stabbing him On the other hand, his expression was suprise as he didn’t see it coming, as both his spider sense and the symbiote reacted in both grabbing Harry’s arm in time and perhaps hardening the suit like Armor to cushion to stab
@@christophersanchez7731 i believe that the knife penetrated Peter but at an instance hardened his mucles To stop the blafe from going eny further. Thats my theory since Harry should had had time To plunge it fully, but mucle and the increased durability and reaction time In spidey body stopped it
actually this is the 2nd time they met. the first time was when sandman trying to rob the money and spider-man get humiliated. so, spider-man knew sandman could survive that face grind.

Jim Halpert Cap is nowhere near Spider-Man’s level of strength. Doesn’t even have to do with being a Raimi fan. Even Tom Holland’s spider-man should’ve beat him easily. Disney just doesn’t know wtf they’re doing with Spider-Man. They treat him like a sidekick, a slap to the face to Lee & Ditko’s vision of why they originally created him.

Spider-Man 3 was really telling us how aggressive and violet Spider-Man can become with the symbiote suit by grinding Sandman's face in half by a moving train.
I always felt really sad for Sandman not just throughout the movie, but especially here. He’s been brutally beaten by Spider-Man. Keep in mind, he can feel every punch. Every kick. When his face was sanded down against the train, he felt it. And even still, as Spider-Man breaks the water pipe and he dissolves, he doesn’t know he will survive. He believes he is about to die. And what does he do in his final moments? He reaches out his hand to Spider-Man, in a act of desperation. He hopes the man that has tried to beat him to death will save him. Just a very brutal scene. Very well done.
It broke my heart when he came back from like being dissolved and took the locket w his daughter's pic 🥺. NWH thankfully seems to imply his daughter made it and I was happy abt that.
I don't know if you noticed, but this is the exact same scream as the one in Spiderman 2 when he first loses his powers and falls on the top of the building, just before the elevator scene
The crazy thing about this scene is that Spider-Man thinks he kills sandman, implying that Spider-Man kills. This is confirmed when he told aunt May that uncle bens killer is gone, but surprised to see aunt May not being happy about a life lost.
Spidey has killed before. His no kill rule doesn't hold up as strong as Batman's. He also has no problem with killing alien creatures, and once used his sticking powers to tear off part of someone's face
I have a feeling we're getting 4 returns in this upcoming movie. Sandman, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Electro from Amazing Spiderman 2. Taking that info, and the fact we know Vulture has teamed up with Scorpion... That would round out the cast for a return of THE SINISTER SIX
0:37 Look at Sandman's expression when Peter tells him about Ben, A look of fear and regret which was quickly replaced with anger to mask it, It's a subtle yet strong hint at the true circumstances of Uncle Ben's death.
Idk if I’m the first to say this, but since having more Spider-Man films showing us different variants of spider men, it makes these old classics more unique. A different universe where we see Peter Parker going through a change in personality. In the beginning, we only focused on the quality of the story of the movie, but now I see it more as looking at a different comic book. Like or dislike it, it exists and we get to watch how it plays out. Now we can see it for it is. Another story of Peter Parker.
This guy did a good job. He actually owns a ranch in the very small town of Utopia, TX. Very close to where I live, I actually saw him in the Cafe there. Christensen I think his last name is?
It's probably been mentioned but Spider-Man's fighting style is so unique and improvisational. At 1:31 he gets knocked back on the train and uses the momentum from the train hitting him to punch Sandman in the face. Part of why I love Spidey is his thinking and combat prowess on the fly.
This scene is literally perfect because Peter actually has intent to kill Sandman, and the symbiote gives him a strength boost and the desire to do it. Add the fact that Sandman is made of SAND, which gives Peter the perfect reason to not hold back and do anything he wants, like say, grind his face on the Train, something he would never do to a normal person. Making Sandman Uncle Ben’s Killer was a Genius decision by Sam Raimi.
@@anonymous-zw6ff The whole black suit power enhancement was a myth. Symbiote never truly integrated to Peter Parker in the comics. This was just pure intent of murder.
@@sylvannaswindrunner9240 in this movie though he looks in the mirror of a building and says "this feels wow" and then does all this acrobats stuff (which he already was capable of doing) and then clings to another building and takes off the part of the black mast and smiles and says "this is something else". This movie really showed how OP Venom suit Spidey really is, and how much Pete usually holds back in a fight. Now he's not holding back at all, and with that suit on he's even stronger. This is scary Spidey and I hope we see him again when Sony finally allow Venom and Carnage into the MCU!
“The amount of three thousand dollars will be paid to the terrifying, the deadly, the amazing… Toby McGuire!” “My name is Tobey Maguire!” “I don’t care, get out” “No, you got my name wrong!”
It's because he uses his fists more than his webs. What often makes a good fight scene in a movie is when the audience can relate to it. Andrew and Tom's version just glide through the air and use their webs pretty much 90% of the time, but Tobey's iteration uses his fists above all else. I mean just look at 1:30-1:45. He's so aggressive which is something I think the other Spider-Men are missing. Also, the grunts, cries and screams of Tobey aren't thrown in there for comedic effect, but should be in there as people DO make a lot of noise when fighting.

@@sylvannaswindrunner9240 in this movie though he looks in the mirror of a building and says "this feels wow" and then does all this acrobats stuff (which he already was capable of doing) and then clings to another building and takes off the part of the black mast and smiles and says "this is something else". So it must have given him some type of boost in power or ego or something.
@@ifacedownworship bruh why would you bring up a godly anime character in a movie character?? I mean of course he can't beat an anime character, like I can give you many reasons why you should delete your comment, Besides why did you only choose an anime character? from all the marvel characters or DC characters, like bruh even a 5 yr old would know that he can't beat goku, and why ultra instinct? you could have atleast brought up ssj goku, but UI? bruh.
I don’t know why people didn’t like this movie. I liked it.
Me too!
@@eliaskhawaja5753 me too!!😃
As a kid, this was the first movie I saw multiple times in the theater. I understand people's complaints, I even agree with some of them, but I can't hate this movie.
It could’ve been better
The only part of Spiderman 3 that worked was his relationship with Harry , Harry lost every fight against him ,which is what made his death so tragic.
Franco's performance was A+
1:24 When your name is Marco and you have to pay the Bill
Obnoxious Kool-Aid Oh damn, I forget it :(
Thein, Are You Serious ? 😂😅
Marco Cabello rip
you're reaching.
You'll get your bill when you fix this damn door
This was and always will be my favourite spiderman movie. The acting and score is absolutely perfect
Man,Tobey Maguire did such an incredible job,he played a dorky teen perfectly, but in this movie he also played an enraged man,out for vengeance without a hiccup,he is such an underrated actor
That's why he's Leonardo DiCaprio's friend but people are nuts to realize
Haris Saeed he is?
@@Newera1047
Interesting
Exactly!!!!
Tobey is the best
Underrated, I love how spiderman uses the momentum from getting hit by the train to punch Flint. That's some cool fight choreography.
1:15 most brutal act spiderman has ever done
Mortal combat type shi
What about when he slammed a whole dang brick wall on Green Goblin. Also this is random but I found it kind of funny how the person “We are kings” posted his comment 3 weeks ago and Joeshar posted his comment 3 months ago.

Spider-Man 3 is incredible. Always has been.
Always will be
Yeah, how can people say it’s a bad movie? It’s just underrated.
I needed the money.
Fuck you, you killed my friend

The cinematography is absolutely incredible.
yeah there is 2 parts here that i absolutely love so much. 1 is how quick spiderman gets up from being hurt, it's not hes feeling no pain in that moment cus how bad he wants to kill Flint Marko. for example : 1:29 and i love this part right here : 1:06

Yeah I know
Bad ass
It's Sam Raimi 😉
This movie really showed how OP Venom suit Spidey really is, and how much Pete usually holds back in a fight.
Now he's not holding back at all, and with that suit on he's even stronger. This is scary Spidey and I hope we see him again when Sony finally allow Venom and Carnage into the MCU!
You'll get your wishes when you fix this damn multiverse!
But holland can't act like tobey in this movie
they just did with the last spiderman no way home, also included a netflix marvel sub hero
That's not the Venom suit, Peter's just been pulling his punches the entire time.
@@darkknight2850 yea, mostly since tom's peter still needs more backstory
As a kid I didnt notice how insanely savage this was. Peter was going for the kill the whole time
...and thats the story of how half of manhattan homes lost their water supply
lmao that was epic xD
I always assumed it was the sewer.
lol
Histewy SPIDER-MAN IS A MENACE
I wonder what happened to the money.
Toby McGuire's best technique was never the webbing, it was the enviornment. Gotta love this whole scene.
@SniperShiv Toby??
Toby McDonalds
Bully McGuire
Me seeing "McGuire" as a name for Toby Maguire everytime:
"I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye"
“The amount of three thousand dollars will be paid to the terrifying, the deadly, the amazing… Toby McGuire!”
“My name is Tobey Maguire!”
“I don’t care, get out”
“No, you got my name wrong!”
Tobey’s movies had the best fight scenes, hands down.
Because Tobey had the best battle IQ
True
Of course, in these movies he actually fights head on and doesn’t just run away lol
Because all Tobey's got is his raw power and strength, two hands and two legs and he damn well know how to use them. This Spiderman is a BRAWLER!!!
2:36 my reaction to the Velma series being cancelled.
She was rejecting Scooby-Doo.
