Thailand and Philippines they have some of the most kindest people, culture/food is amazing and felt safe the whole time. Also traveling to other islands was easy via public transportation or GRAB( there version of UBER)

Right when you set a hundred dollars for your lunch is when I stop watching this video and lost all interest in costa rica.. I prefer to travel to cheap countries like the philippines in thailand where I could eat like a damn king for forty dollars

Yes it was expensive but its still worth the adventure. Asia is by far the most affordable in my opinion

I'm from Jaco and I will say they definitely did him wrong with the $120 for lunch because there's no way a lunch costs that, it's often $6 and if going to a little luxury restaurant could be $10 or $15 depending on what you ordering but never seen $120 for lunch in my life

He was just going for it. There's a lot of wonderful eateries for far less than than that esp. at the sodas. My meals this year and the year before (on the main strip usually fell south and north of 10 mil colones (not the million million, but 10,000, (when you see the currency, you'll understand) which is around $20USD). Go where the locals go, it's a little lower, better quality and just a few steps away from the strip.

@GoWithChris it's funny because getting ripped off and learning is part of the experience.. people do it to me even in Asia. I'm like " damn they ripped me off and I tipped them". Ahahhahah all good. Karma and all.
