Thanks for taking me along on your port visit at Puerto Limon. In Nov 2022 on our way to Panama Canal we missed this port due to a distressed migrant boat full with 22 people mostly children….our cruise ship stayed with the boat until the Coast Guard showed up and we missed the port. Nice to visit places with you Kevin. Enjoy your cruise.
You are on fire with all the videos! 🔥 I didn’t see any sloths either time I was in Costa Rica. So cute! 😍 Thanks for showing us the local places. ¡Pura vida!
You do the best tours of the places you visit. You tell a lot about the place you visit and share some really interesting things about the port. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Stay safe.
New subbie here. I'm enjoying your content. Rice cooked in coconut milk & beans are customary in the Caribbean. In Guyana 🇬🇾 we call it cook-up rice. I'm glad you tried & enjoyed it. ☺️
Great port review! And you make it seem so easy. Thanks for that. BTW: if the 10,000 steps are no longer keeping the weight off, you may want to research insulin resistance.
Great video! I've been to Puntarenas, which is on the West side, but never the East side. Keeping weight off is a real challenge on a cruise ship! I also love exploring on my own as well. We were in Melbourne yesterday...I figure out the public transportation system, then make an adventure out of it!
Costa Rica seems to have it going on for.their markets and taking tours/walks! That authentic plate of food that you had, looked amazing!!Alright, catch you next time!Have fun, and take care!!🌺🍽🥥🍗🎨🤗🌅🛳
Glad to see that you're really back. Originally, you were going to cruise for a year, but your year was interrupted. Are you going to continue cruising all this year or are you going to switch to do something else?
We also generally do not take cruise line shore excursions -- unless the port and destination are a very long distance apart and without good public transportation options (like Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City). Like you, we much prefer exploring on our own and having a more authentic experience. We generally will wander through the food markets, chat with locals over a cup of coffee, and try to find a special souvenir at a thrift store.
We got back from a four week Caribbean cruise just before Christmas, where I stupidly put over a stone on ! Do you still have your travel weighing scales ? I took mine, but despite going to the gym still piled the weight on. 🙁👍
When you go in the shops, be sure to check labels. You’ll find a lot of “made in china” or other Asian countries. If you’re ok with that, fine. But if you want to buy local, you need to check. Also, when I was there last year, there was human excrement all over the place. On sidewalks, streets, etc. Really disgusting. We went back to the ship after a short while.
My best excursion ever was there! We went to the Sloth Sanctuary. Did the behind the scenes tour. Slothpital and NICU unit. One of the highlights of my travels to other lands.

Oh wow….it’s good they stayed with those people though.

Great video, Kevin! We have not been to that port before but looks really cool. Safe travels, can’t wait to see the next location.
Thanks guys! 🙏
I've been eating a lot of coconut rice here in Malaysia(nasi lemak). Tight pants, need to do 30,000 steps!😁
Nice! I’ll be in Malaysia later on this year! Can’t wait.

Wow Limon has a port?
It does!
Great video. Did you feel safe wandering around beyond the immediate cruise ship area?
in most places

walk until you day gets interesting is my motto 😊
@@30AndAWakeUp Love that! Yep - on a typical port day, we usually log about 20-25K steps. BTW, did your cabin have those extra outlets?
@@neresq it did!!!!!
@@30AndAWakeUp Awesome!
Food looked great and the area looked very nice too. Hope you had a good time. Jonathan 🇬🇧
Thanks, Jonathan!
Pura Vida!, Kevin! We have a Perezoso 🦥 at the office 😅
Nice!

I do have my travel scale! That thing kind of dictates what I get to eat!
Do you usually have a destination in mind when you leave the ship or do you let your feet guide you? Thanks for sharing the port with us.
I usually just walk until things get interesting.
That bird is a Oropendola.
Thanks for the info.
No butter pecan latte you got me liking them…lol
haha!
How much was that cruise? Looks like a ton of fun...
around 900
for all 103 days? or this segment?@@30AndAWakeUp
What time do you usually start your morning walks?
between 5 and 6 am usually.
How long does it take you to get your 10K steps in the morning?@@30AndAWakeUp
Can you get your passport stamped in Costa Rico
The bird is called an Oropendola. It's said it tail swings like a pendulum 😊
oh cool! Thanks Karen.
How is the water /ocean temperature.?
warm 😊
Started off gloomy but looks like it turned into a stunner of a day!
yeah it turned out great
I usually lose weight on a cruise due to a lot of walking, using the gym onboard and mostly eating salads and grilled meats lol
exactly
What? No butter pecan latte?
I’ve been cutting down! :)

@@30AndAWakeUpyou take a bus 🚍 it take’s about 2hours 30mins cost 💲6
Comida typica
I enjoyed it :)
Can I get on the boat from Limon CR?
some cruise lines let you do that but you have to call and set it up
How to easily tell an American from a person from any other country? They do the zombie walk looking at the cell phone while walking. 6:52.
that’s pretty much every country now days
I miss your intro music
I’ll try to bring it back…i switched my editing software and it doesn’t have some of the cool features my old one had
