I would love to have an encyclopedic memory of cinematic history like Brad has. It's one of my favorite things to witness when watching a Stoned Gremlin Productions video.
Fun fact: an ad on USA network back in the day had Sarah using the flame thrower that I thought was Mary Lou using her weapon like Freddy’s claws or Jason’s machete, before ever seeing Prom Night 3. And was my head canon for a time 😋.
14:44 I almost expected to hear the Stone Cold Steve Austin intro music hit after that smash. When I think about it, it was probably the same stock sound effect :P
It's fascinating seeing the different approaches in each of these. First was a decent slasher, second went more supernatural and eerie, and while this is supposed to be the same antagonist from that one... it's odd to see it take a sillier approach. But hey, A Nightmare on Elm Street did to an extent as well
I somehow remember back when Phelous reviewed this. He had an extremely low opinion of Alex. Ten minutes in and Snob seems to be going a bit easier on the guy. XD I remember seeing bits and pieces of this movie as a small child, and the ice cream death scene and weird ghost temper tantrum always stuck with me.
I have rewound to the "as the movie opens only a few miles from the moon" bit several, several times. The line is funny enough, but his casual delivery just slays me.
I love the forty-year-old high school kids. and the basketball scene in deadly friend is the loudest I laugh in a theater ever. other people looked at me like I was a serial killer.
Sucks that Wendy Lyon didn't return. She was adorable in the last one. They didn't even give her the Halloween Resurrection and kill her off in the first few minutes. 😂
21:18 This is the only scene I remember from this movie. I think of it often but couldn’t remember the movie. Thanks. “You have a good heart. Wanna see it?” 😂
I remember this one fondly from my childhood. I watched this with my mom when I was 4 or 5, and the ice cream scene has always lived in my mind, rent free. I wasn't aware that it was the 3rd Prom Night until recently, and it makes about as much sense as how Halloween 3 Season of the Witch is somehow a part of the Halloween franchise, but I absolutely love both of these movies and as an adult, can now appreciate them for how weird they are.
I SO prefer this Mary Lou actress to the one in 2!! And Alex is totally like a guy in a Fear Street book:) But I had no idea that his actor was the other broadcaster in 'Angels in the Outfield'! I love that character;)
Seeing as Snob isn’t going to see this comment, and I no longer have an X account, can someone please get him to look into the wishmaster movies. Thanks
That whole Menemdez brothers story was the weirdest part of this whole thing. I know several people who knew them and I love near Princeton where this all took place .
I remember as a kid, probably around 5 or 6, USA showed this in the afternoon. I happened to turn on the channel to catch the ending. This scene disturbed me as a kid and it always stayed in the back of my head. Took me until a couple years ago to find out what the movie was. Now the scene feels so corny and cheesy watching it as an adult.
And now prom night 4 the one with the evil priest who murders party goers in shockingly graphic ways. I don't hate it tbh the kills are actually very good in prom night 4
Okay that first shot of Alex always pisses me off. Clearly no one even told him how to hold a saxophone let alone play it…it looks like he has the reed in his mouth. That’s like gluing guitar strings down and expecting them to still make noise
Well, this was different from the first two movies, and the second was way different. True story, back when "Popcornflix" was a thing, they had three of the "Prom Night" movies, the first two and the fourth. "Prom Night 3" wasn't even there. I will say, if "Prom Night 2" borrowed from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Carrie", then this movie would be borrowing from "Beetlejuice" and...well...any other horror comedy/parody ever made before "Scary Movie".
I really liked this movie. I was 14 when I saw it, maybe it's the best age for it. Every reviewers on TH-cam say it's not that good. I don't know if I need to revisit it.
I don’t think people understand how valuable Brad is
He’s not just a reviewer
He’s a historian
I would love to have an encyclopedic memory of cinematic history like Brad has. It's one of my favorite things to witness when watching a Stoned Gremlin Productions video.

And
How much he relates it to memories and his family
He really loves his dad

I have a confession. For some reason I have to put this movie on when I go to bed at night... Lol. For some reason 😂😂😂
So it’s Mary Lou just accepting she peaked in highschool and just living her power fantasy at others expenses?
Yep, she’s arguably the pettiest 80s slasher villain 😂
That's hilarious I never really thought bout it like that, tbh a lot of 80s villains are kind of petty now that I think bout it 😂
Kinda hard not to peak in high school when you literally died in high school.

A "Mr. B. Natural" reference and a call-back to "Crime of the Age"? You're spoiling us, Brad!
I have rewound to the "as the movie opens only a few miles from the moon" bit several, several times. The line is funny enough, but his casual delivery just slays me.
Funny to think that this is the only film in the PROM NIGHT series that's actually a direct sequel to a previous entry.
Perfect needed another hit of that "That good Nostalgia" 😂
6:21 “Hell I’m standing on one right now and I’m sitting!”
Well I missed this one and the 4th so a quick catchup from the Snob is enough motivation to seek them out this season. Thanks Snob!
I personally liked part 4 way more than I was expecting to.
I didn't like the 4th one when I saw it the first time. It felt like a generic unmade 4th Exorcist movie.
I love the forty-year-old high school kids. and the basketball scene in deadly friend is the loudest I laugh in a theater ever. other people looked at me like I was a serial killer.

I agree. And Lisa Schrage as Mary Lou. She was so great in Prom Night 2.
23:16 ...now that she's become a T-1000 🤣 I funkin LOVE this channel!
Ps. Watched this movie last night and poof! New review today 🎉
"...not going to give up my chance to live out a real life Skinemax movie..."
With the star of Sins of the Night? Inconceivable!
"If she had been CARRIEd over"....prom....
I'll see myself out.
Now just Prom Night IV and Prom Night (2008) are left.
11:30 "Semi-Powers Boothe!" 🤣🤣🤣
I love Prom Night III, it’s my favorite alongside the second film!
One of my all time favorite "USA Up All Night" finds, right up there with "Buford's Beach Bunnies".
Good lord it's been Years since I've seen this movie Back in the USA network days.
21:18 This is the only scene I remember from this movie. I think of it often but couldn’t remember the movie. Thanks. “You have a good heart. Wanna see it?” 😂

A well-placed Mr. B Natural reference is always much appreciated 👍
This is such a friggin gem ❤️ Halloween traditional for me
Once Bitten is a great movie.
I miss the old couch shots from the 2010's. ❤
Trivia note Cyndi Preston was in the horror movie pin with David hewlitt & terry o Quinn
2:45 was that janitor the inspiration for the janitor in Smells like Teen Spirit?
One can only hope
"Do you like carrots?" Yes! Hilarious callback
All roof house!!! I'm dying 😂😂😂
One of the more obscure MST3k references: "Battery acid ... you're soaking in it."
"Series/.......gay porn?" had me rolling
I SO prefer this Mary Lou actress to the one in 2!! And Alex is totally like a guy in a Fear Street book:) But I had no idea that his actor was the other broadcaster in 'Angels in the Outfield'! I love that character;)
Wooooo ten minutes. New record.
I still think that Once Bitten has one of the most underrated themes of all time.
The "Do you like carrots?" gag made me spoot my coffee
Seeing as Snob isn’t going to see this comment, and I no longer have an X account, can someone please get him to look into the wishmaster movies. Thanks
That whole Menemdez brothers story was the weirdest part of this whole thing. I know several people who knew them and I love near Princeton where this all took place .
24:17- Either that or the breakfast machine music from Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
M O O N... That spells prom.
16:09 ...Getting strong Jerry Blake (The Stepfather) vibes there...
I remember as a kid, probably around 5 or 6, USA showed this in the afternoon. I happened to turn on the channel to catch the ending. 19:28 Oh, I love me a CRIME OF THE AGE callback!
Mary Lou looks like Kelly Kapowski from Saved By The Bell. Now I wanna see a Killer Kelly Movie LOL
lol Snow. i haven't thought of that guy in forever.
Brad, can you review The Warriors 1979 theatrical cut one day. It is one of my favorite movies.
Ah the 80s, when the scene of a tragedy can only be renovated, like nothing happened.
can't wait to see the halloween ends review.
So
Alex still gets to Bang Mary lou ,win win situation in my book .
The voice of Zelda? Excuse me princess.
'Wel ExcuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME, Princess!'
And now prom night 4 the one with the evil priest who murders party goers in shockingly graphic ways. I don't hate it tbh the kills are actually very good in prom night 4
Fingers crossed for an Exorcist 3 review
11:30 Is that the MyPillow guy, or is it just his twin brother?
Hands off… he belongs to me! Yeah, it’s once bitten
This is my favorite Prom Night film!
why does the scoreboard only have two slots per team?
“It’s battery acid…”😊
Mary Lou is a babe, I can understand why Alex did what he did.
I'm a little surprised that he's leaving out Prom Night 5: The Club.
22:27
Whoa, awkward!
Random question but can you put nanners in chili?
18:13 EAGLE RIVER!!!
The horror movie I got drunk to during the pandemic 2020!
The Last Kiss sounds more like a romantic comedy title
Without the beauty mark Mary Lou does kinda remind me of Sherilyn Fenn
Wtf. There's a Prom Night 3? What's next Prom Night 4?
Yes actually. And then the remake
Guess I know what I'm watching tonight.
Okay that first shot of Alex always pisses me off. Clearly no one even told him how to hold a saxophone let alone play it…it looks like he has the reed in his mouth. That’s like gluing guitar strings down and expecting them to still make noise
He doesn't mention it to his girlfriend the next day because it doesn't count, obviously. I mean Ghosts Can't Do It.
Marry Lou would definitely party with Sammi Curr
Well, this was different from the first two movies, and the second was way different. True story, back when "Popcornflix" was a thing, they had three of the "Prom Night" movies, the first two and the fourth. "Prom Night 3" wasn't even there.

Prom Night III Mary Lou was more attractive, but Prom Night II Mary Lou was a better actress🤷♂️
I really liked this movie.
I was 14 when I saw it, maybe it's the best age for it. Every reviewers on TH-cam say it's not that good.
I don't know if I need to revisit it.
Arnie Cunningham me thinks Alex me thinks not !
So stupid to not have continuity with the 2nd one. I mean, what's the point?
Sexy Jesus is more of a theater kid. Doesn't do a lot of sports. Fall musical and all that.
Wow that sexy chick guest starred on forever knight?
I hope Sebastian Bach's brother is doing better than Sebastian Bach is
2 and 3 are fun to watch...the rest...just forgettable
Algorithm aide
This movie is kind of a downgrade the second 1 Was Way better
