I can not thank you enough for all the information you're passing along. As a 64 year old reloader, shooter and hunter for most of my life, you have opened my eyes as to the newest methods for loading. Some things haven't changed much, but a lot of it has compared to 20 years ago. Wishing you much success. You have certainly earned it.

I just found your channel, and glad I did. Got into reloading about twenty five years ago, and a friend gave me like ten to fifteen years of Precision Reloading (I Think) it was the benchrest magazine of the day. Learned all about neck turning etc. and then a wife, change of location and job House burned and all my reloading equipment and thousands of dollars of components went up in smoke. Retired now and have the time to get back into the hobby. You are doing Wonderful work here! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos! Ever get to Lake George New York, think there’s a famous range there.......an hour fifteen south of me.

Good luck and have fun at your PRS match, Erik! I used your load development procedure today. 6BR rifle that I was getting decent groups at 100 yd. but not at 200. So I worked on the powder charge last weekend and got my best ES at 28gr. Varget. This weekend I worked on seating depth and had 3 consecutive loads that agged at .150" @ 100 yds. on a windy afternoon. Next weekend loading 15 rounds and shooting 3ea. 5 shot groups @ 200. Feeling very confident that your method has me on the right course. Thank you for your videos!!
@@ErikCortina Yes sir. My powder charge, using your method, is .5gr. less than I was using. Hopefully, that difference, plus the seating depth change, will show up at 200yd. Can hardly wait until I get to the range next weekend!!

One word of caution when you are riding down that loading ramp to half position its a tighter fit to get the round in there (drop), It's more important to watch your fingers when you work that press lever than your camera for us here.

Love all your videos. My attitude is that there is no such thing as bad info. Just sometimes inaccurate info. I only hunt but everyone loves accuracy. 1 other thing about the bullet puller and shell holder trick. I discovered it back in the late 70s after losing a piece of the rubber band setup (which used to be a keyring setup) anyway another trick to save the bullets is to glue a foam earplug in the bottom. Works great especially for lead tipped hunting bullets. Keep up the good work.
I love the "I could too if......." guys. I have shot another shooters precision rifle and yes I shot his properly set up gun better than I shot mine. However I did not shoot as well as he did. Equipment helps your preparation show up more. Love the channel, keep the videos and information coming.

@@DCFusor Indeed! I can't tell you how many high income people I've seen with some spendy gear that vastly underperform. I kind of like my cheap gear because it doesn't set expectations too high. Nobody expects me to do well with my $300 Savage, lol!

I have a cheap looking Cooper .223 bolt that is ~ .1 moa, for example, with a cheap import scope on it (works fine)...The looks on their faces when the targets come back....A buddy is a great musician and has good gear, but can make a guitar most would use as a doorstop sound amazing - skill matters. It's a poor workman blames his tools, but that has multiple meanings. A good one makes better tools eventually - but can usually get good results out of bad ones in the meantime.

I reloaded ammo when my kids were young, they all wanted to help, I had one knocking out primers and one seating primers I had another one measuring out the powder and then I would pour the powder in then another one would do the seating of the bullet. My kids have all been raised around firearms and now that they are all adults they all have firearms. Teaching responsible gun ownership, I feel is one of the most important things other than Jesus Christ that we can teach our children, love your videos, keep up the good work and good luck on your next competition

Im not new to ammo & reloading but definitely have picked up some tips lately. Was putting some shots through the same hole today!!😁 Great feeling when everything is on point & the rifle is hammering! NO crimping rifle rounds, I could tell you didn't!!
Erik, I caught your comment about the Hornady camlock bullet puller. I have used a hammer type bullet puller, but often the bullet bounces up and is cut by the mouth of the brass. The hammer is also pretty useless for small bullets like 17 or 20 calibers, even some 22s, as the weight is too low, not enough momentum. Once I learned how to set up the Hornady, it is faster and does not damage bullets. A couple tips: #1 Clean the bullet with 90% rubbing alcohol or acetone to give a good grasp of the bullet. Then you need only light to firm pressure on the lever to clamp the bullet. If you let the bullet slip, it scratches and ruins it, so first clean it! Also, clean the collet. These solvents dry fast and do not leave any oily residue. #2 After the bullet comes out, push up on it, it will then release out of the collet and fall in your hand. #3 If there is not much flat bearing surface showing on the bullet, you will not be able to get a good clamp on it. For example, like the deep seated 204 Hornady factory cartridge. The minimum is at least 0.060", maybe 0.100". Eric, your interviews with Jack Neary, and other great shooters have been fantastic! Thanks so much.
Would like to tell you how great full I am for your knowledge and giving thanks where it’s do. I hunt 90% of the time and off hand shooting makes zero sense hunting or target shooting. Your doing a amazing job with your videos.

If your brake is nitride coated. Don’t use CLR.

all you have do is put masking tape on bullet puts no marks when pulled
