About Formata:
Lead. Fight. Win.
Gain resources, build your own army to lead it into a battle!
Create your own strategy, survive in difficult conditions and then break through enemy's close formation to ruin their castles and reach the sole leadership on the map.
Do not forget about tactics when the fight is on! Good location and right formation will bring you an important victory, which immediately translates into an advantage for the whole war.
Catch your enemies by surprise, until they take a position and build a shield wall, provoke them to mess up the ranks, surround them and destroy completely! Catch up with those who run away and kill them all, because if you do not, they will return back with a sword in a hand!
Alternatively you can use your archers as your main power. While your strong infantry hold back the onslaught in a narrow passageway, a hail of arrows will turn the enemy hordes into heaps of corpses.

There is a shortage of games on early naval warfare. I think with a little work you could do something wwith formata. Youd need an editor and to be able to drop the production part. Then if you had ramming and nonramming ships you could cover naval warfare up to the time of cannon. Also add morale for the squads .
RIP that one archer guy, it was his sacrifice that bought time for the main force to rally and retake the home island. We will not forget
oh and exicutions during combat like every so kills a soldier cuts a head off or does a spinny dismember swing spear stabby... nice

i wish they added giants and wizards and you can lvl them up and they added healers and vikings and a guy with powers and the gold sparten and golden sword man and chargers that when you get them out they just attack no matter wot and gold archer and a boss and a lord and more

Troops should be able to board other ships in naval battle and boats should have cannons
They didnt have cannons back then,and the use of boarding other ships with infantry was very uncommon,well,if you dont count the Romans.
I wish yo could get troops with axes and samurai swords

Do a lot more in the future and do that map u was looking at but didn't play
