Thank you for identifying Joe Rogan. I never watch TV. I only know him from his podcasts. He's always sitting down. He always wears headphones. I didn't recognize him. Comment: People underestimate Senator Kennedy. He's a lot smarter than they realize. Comment: I grew up with the threat of nuclear war. I saw historic documentaries showing the horror of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I saw reports of the devastating effects from the Chernobyl explosion on children and wildlife. I read the book On The Beach for a perspective of "what if?" If we have a nuclear war the ones pushing the buttons know what will happen. Maybe they think it's noble to die in a safe bunker while the rest of us die from radiation poisoning. I can't understand the thought processes of people who even consider doing this. My life is precious to me. I am angry that they are so cavalier with it.
If you wonder how nuclear war could happen Annie Jacobsen just published this year "Nuclear War: A Scenario." It's a highly unpleasant read, but also, so far as I can tell as a well-read person without classified clearances, quite realistic. She interviewed many top insiders to write, and she's very well connected in DC. The basic answer to the psychology question you pose is: the decision makers are not experts in nuclear war, they will listen to what their expert advisors tell them to do because they know they're not experts and the stakes are ultra-high, and those advisors will tell them to follow established procedures to prevent any nuclear attacker from winning. Many of the people responsible for launching a nuclear counter-attack would be among the first to die. And they know it.
Would the implication of having less high-salary white collar workers paying into income tax, and likewise social security contribute to making social security insolvent more quickly?
No, being anti-war is not part of liberalism, much less a foundational part of it. The Revolutionary War, the Civil War, hello‽ It was a stupid point on Rogan and it's stupid here too. Chamath has no idea what he's talking about.
You're going back to when democrats used to be the Republicans. For many decades democrats seemed like the ones more willing to negotiate and home of the "peace movement " ..... but you are correct that that has changed.... problem is that many voters haven't noticed.
Microsoft Tablet did not work is because that many other Microsoft department wanted to add their stuff into the Tablet essentially made in into a mini-PC and killed the significance of a "Tablet". This is my friend told me while he was one of the original crew members of Tablet.
@@investingfeed8971 I walked away from the Democrats a few years back. My focus has shifted to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., drawn in by his stances on critical issues like the environment, food, nutrition, and the pervasive threat of censorship. Even after he endorsed Trump, I still planned to cast my vote for him. Living in California, that was my intention. But the reality has hit home. Like Chamath, I’ve become a single-issue voter. Now, my primary concern is identifying which candidate poses the least risk of igniting a nuclear conflict. When it comes to maintaining peace, a glance at the past four years-indeed, even the preceding four-leads me to a clear conclusion: Trump is the candidate most likely to steer us away from catastrophe.

Maybe being in some other people in other fields that can speak to how they use AI to optimize their work flow.

Wow you can really see the family resemblance between Sam Altman and Brian Kohberger in that clip

What is going on with these Ads every 5 mins? This was so disruptive. Next time I will just watch it on X.
All. is doing sponsored Ads now?
They are 100% grifters why would they not try to profit? They want every last penny
Read the pinned comment. They didn’t add them.

41:40 Proof that JCal is Canadian. How does he not know John Kennedy? LOL
41:11 Senator Kennedy is a national treasure
Your memories will live on as training data. LMAO
Do you realize everything you discuss for the first hour and a half was background chatter to your discussion of the last 10 minutes....
They are a tech focused podcast not some political pundits. They bring politics on for brief moments.
That depends on how you look at it. The apocalypse remains low probability. The other stuff is high probability, much lower impact.
Agreed that mini nukes are super dangerous as a slippery slope
No, being anti-war is not part of liberalism, much less a foundational part of it. The Revolutionary War, the Civil War, hello‽ It was a stupid point on Rogan and it's stupid here too. Chamath has no idea what he's talking about.
You're going back to when democrats used to be the Republicans. For many decades democrats seemed like the ones more willing to negotiate and home of the "peace movement " ..... but you are correct that that has changed.... problem is that many voters haven't noticed.
Chamath seems like a paid China shill. Dude got lucky with the American dream but doesn't understand America at all.
Why ads are enabled ? Are you running some experiment?
First 😊
In October why dont you consider an entire session devoted to NO WAR?
We laugh, we cry, we get educated all in Podcast has something special for everyone. Love you guys 🏆

Microsoft Tablet did not work is because that many other Microsoft department wanted to add their stuff into the Tablet essentially made in into a mini-PC and killed the significance of a "Tablet". This is my friend told me while he was one of the original crew members of Tablet.

Say it with me: All-In Pod doesn’t need the ads!
Finally convinced me to vote Trump.
Why? 😢
When it comes to maintaining peace, a glance at the past four years-indeed, even the preceding four-leads me to a clear conclusion: Trump is the candidate most likely to steer us away from catastrophe.
yeah!
welcome to the big tent for rationality and peace 🎈
