  • One of my super rare and collectable Warhammer Miniatures gets a lick of paint after 30+ years.
Remember you only get better at painting with time. There is always a better painter out there so never be put off and enjoy the hobby, I gave up caring what people think of my painting a long time ago and I enjoy the hobby so much more now because I am not trying to live up to the standards of everyone else anymore and paint the way I like to paint...MY WAY. you all are not sheep so take inspiration only from people and do it your way 👍

Speaking of Grand Old Stuff and high prices, I managed to pick up a Reaper Druid Stone box set, sealed in shrinkwrap, for only $60 recently (as opposed to the hundreds they usually go for). Been wanting one for ages. I believe it was the first boxed set they ever made.

A Fantastic sculpt by Sandra Garrity and one of the rare Reaper Miniatures I have not got, I have many OOP miniatures but I do like to paint them and have the fun they were intended for, It is difficult in the miniature market do you keep things mint in box or lose the value by opening the box and painting them, I hate it when people charge 100s of pounds for OOP miniatures because people like myself will pay them which in turn makes the gold diggers charge even more to complete our collection, but now and again just like you I have been able to pick up some real gems on eBay that are OOP from Reaper Miniatures. Metal is always going to be my favourite, Well done picking the set up sealed for $60 as I have seen it trying to be sold by Gold diggers on eBay for well over $200 which is a big jump from the humble $12.95 Reaper was asking for back when it was first sold 🤔😀

@@MichaelMordor Agreed. I despise the scalpers as well. I've always been a take it out and play with it kind of guy. Even with old D&D modules or Grenadier minis from the 70s. I just don't see the fun of keeping it sealed up and never seeing or touching anything but the package. Although I do appreciate someone else having preserved it for me to open.
