Did you rule out thyroid tumor in this case. If years after ablation pt develops cancer would you take responsibility of that cancer which was not treated effectively. Is there any research on recurrence as mng is now an antibody mediated disease and it is bound to recurrence.

@@cincau6506 Yes I have been back to the ENT that performed the treatment. I asked him about it and he said it was normal. I decided to get the RFA treatment because my goiter was getting large, and it was benign, so I didn’t want to get the whole thyroid removed, because my levels are normal. It is half the size now, so it has shrunk, it’s just hard!😟
@@KECHIAG did you get any madication after that? Have you check for TPOAb, TgAb,TRAb? My tsh,t3,ft4 are normal, my biopsy result is atypical cell. The pathologist suggest to do a surgery. And i havent meet my endocrinologist until next tuesday. I'm looking for alternatif other than surgery, but i dont know that RFA also give an "side effect". I hope you will get better soon🙏🏻

My endocrinologist has never heard of this & ignored me when I mentioned it. He's pushing me to get my thyroid removed, but I refuse.
Don't do it if you don't have to
The hard part is a lot of insurance will not cover RFA 😢

What are the chances of leaving any cancerous cell behind that might be missed in the quick multiple sampled on-site biopsy during the procedure ?
