Informative video, well done. Couple of questions. 1. My dealer fitted the HiFlo oil filter HF177 & this is for a V-twin. Last time I checked, it’s a parallel twin. 2. I remove the filler plug for oil to breathe draining. 3. I half fill the oil filter with new oil before installing. I’ve gone back to CFMoto oil filters never had an issue installing. 3 attempts is 2 too many. 4. Change your oil & filter often. I’ve noticed even after 3000 kms it’s black as a dogs guts. You don’t need expensive oils. Just the correct spec. Have a great new year & clean your MT brother!😉😎⭐️
I've now put the link for that K&N filter on the description, I did speak about those filters and a mechanic told me not to bother about filling those filters 🤷 (but I do know what you mean) Last service I used exactly the same filter and went in straight away, for some reason today the O ring looked like a doughnut, I just had to squeeze it in, perhaps coz I did it in the summer last time. I'll probably clean her,,, next year 😂, have a good one 👌👍
There's no known benefit to prefilling oil filters. No, your engine won't undergo a dry start. Oil is supposed to turn black. There's no reason for an oil filter to be labeled as "v-twin", functionally it makes no difference.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I couldn't advise on using the K&N 303 after what happened to me on the 2nd of May, (details in my latest video) however, when I do the first oil change on my new engine, I will probably do it with the K&N 177, just to try it out as I got told that was the correct one for those engines
@@eddieelzy4793 same as a Kawasaki er6 K&N 303, but I'm doing a filter change again for reasons I'll explain in the next video, so don't buy it just yet

Thanks very much, I forgot to say in the video, "if you have a beard, be careful whilst operating a blowtorch" 😂😂
Excelente trabajo saludos desde Argentina 👍
Gracias 🙏, I'm making another video as the oil filter was the wrong one, the correct oil filter is the K&N 177

Did that kN 177 work for u I got the 650 adventure and I’m wondering is that the type of filter i need

Oilfilter you only need to torque handtight. You over did it, to tight.
It is the wrong filter hence poor fitment, I'd be more concerned it popping off under hard use!
wrong oil filter you get its for kawasaki and for cf moto its k&n 177 just like HF177
Thanks for letting me know, I'll give that one a go next time it's due for an oil change
Debe de trabajar limpio.
