TO CLARIFY: Neither Beta Wobbuffet or Girafarig Pre-Evolution count as wrong titles for the Cut Design. It was initially intended to be a pre-evolution that evolves into Girafarig on level 29, but later got reworked into Wobbuffet. I just decide on where is the light source, and from there I shade the parts that are facing away from the light, while the locations that are near the light source I highlight, including the outlines! Also, in some cases I colour the outline so you can tell apart the features if a part of the sprite is clustered with other similar colour limbs/details :)

For me I don't know where to color the outline like the gen 5 style
