    This did not "demystify" quantum computers at all, quite the opposite. The only talk that made sense at all to me was when they use MWI, whether it is right or not I don't know, but it makes sense. It at least expl;ains how quantum particles can perform virtually infinite calculations all at once so...

    There was utterly no demystifying done in this talk.

  • @algonte

    I bet for Quantum Computing but with less unbounded optimism, in order to achieve exponential speed-up you have to interconnect qubits and full interconnection has exponential complexity so it is imposible to "engineer"

    What a rubbish presentation!
    This is worse than a teenager’s book report read in front of the class from the kid who didn’t read the book and scanned a couple of pages minutes before the teacher called his name.

    No single equation from a Math guy for explaining the workings of Quantum Computer? I like an experimental physicist explaining this better. The audience looks so lost better just write 2^n is the computational power of quantum computer - doubling each time for each qubit.

    could.quantum computing lead to sentient AI in the future?

    • @ericmichel3857
      @ericmichel3857 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe but probably not. Since we have no idea how we are sentient, how can we reproduce it? Some believe consciousnesses emerges out of complexity, but that is just an absurd belief akin to believing in magic. It is like throwing a bunch of wires and electrical components in a box and believing that a super computer will emerge. Can we one day reproduce consciousness with a machine? Maybe, but first we need to understand what it is and how it happens, and right now (even with all we have learned about brain function), we haven't got a clue.
      I think we will make machines that use algorithms to solve problems and will be programmed to respond as if they were conscious. But will that machine be conscious? I don't think so, but any opinion for or against is just speculation.
      Some even postulate that consciousness could be a fundamental aspect of reality, and that the physical world we perceive is an illusion. There is a coherent argument for this hypothesis (See Donald Hoffman or Bernardo Kastrup).

    我在大學生活中是一名性工作者,作為一名年輕女性,我不要求你的同情,我不在乎你的判斷和批評,我從小在一個中國家庭長大,我有精神病,母親有憤怒的問題,身體虐待我。並且一直在一個成年人的環境中,她沒有為我在倫敦的生活提供足夠的支持我不得不尋找性工作來支持我的日記生活在這個下注者的創傷之後我真的要自殺我的媽媽責怪我我有一些冷血中國 BBC 親戚或她的朋友給我媽媽發我的性工作照片他們嘲笑我我沒有得到正確的情感支持和照顧我最親密的家人他們說你醜陋的中國女孩你不值得被愛我發現很多人在中國社會或我可以是西方的他們對心理健康或性健康感到羞恥他們沒有正確的知識來理解或幫助
    英國警察部隊是種族主義歧視婦女是壓力或強迫進入這個行業我無法想像這個羅馬尼亞波蘭匈牙利兒童或單身媽媽性工作他們正在洗腦控制他們自己的血統孩子強迫他們向這個受過最病態教育的人提供傷害性暴力性行為有錢的賭徒
    這不是慈愛的世界,他的妻子叫 Marie hotong 一家,他們聲稱他們有錢幫助所有人辦學受過教育的人我要帶他去香港的親戚妻子她有一個節目說她有受虐待的童年她可以建立她生活可以重建成為體面的健康女人其他女人不能如果這種創傷經歷太深太傷害因此我們不是他們的錯只是因為你沒有足夠的同情心或正確的知識來理解這個女人的情況女演員名叫瑪麗瓊Reiner UK 是一個民主世界,仍然有很多不是來自第三個世界的女性受害者需要被虐待

    Bad bad talk. Big scare call on investors to invest in his and other QC companies. Quantum Mechanics are extremely interesting and the search for the QC will no doubt give us some break through findings (like the quest for the moon did) but will not end up with anything like a computer. Playing the quantum will be more like a chemical process than like a logical process. No encryption will be broken. The bitcoin does not need a QC to be broken, it is broken by design, when people get wise, it is gone. So, do invest in this company please, do not expect to get to the moon though.

      @mycommentpwnz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know Theo, I think you're absolutely right. I'm actually embarrassed I didn't see through this facade right away. This was, basically, a pitch for investors.
      Also, the d wave has been around for about 2 years now, and it has what, 8 or 16 q bits? I'll start getting excited when I see a quantum computer with 1000 q-bits.

    • @mycommentpwnz
      @mycommentpwnz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Bottlekap yeah, and it has 8 q-bits. It's basically useless, outside of being a prototype. Maybe it was 16 q bits. And, the d wave has been around for years now, yet the amount of q bits in these systems isn't going up very fast
