"The first time I ever really listened to Kyle Kulinski’s show was in the back of a cab last summer. The driver had his phone hooked up through the stereo and was pumping out an episode through the car speakers - loudly, as if looking to convert a captive audience.
“Do you like Kyle Kulinski?”
The driver, Ahmed, was a recent immigrant and apparently a die-hard fan of Secular Talk, the political talk show that Kulinski broadcasts on TH-cam. I told him, yes, in fact. I do like Kulinski, had come across his show several years ago, and, all things considered, he seemed pretty good.
“He understands what we’re up against,” Ahmed said. “Like Bernie.”
But I was surprised to hear Kulinski’s name mentioned in the same breath as Bernie Sanders, particularly with such adoration. Because what I did remember about Kulinski’s show struck me as mostly capital-P “progressive” takes on the news - the left wing of the Netroots crowd more than the democratic socialism Sanders has popularized.
It’s an impression that wasn’t entirely incorrect.
“I have no time for philosophical, airy bullshit,” Kulinski tells me from his home in Westchester, New York. “I don’t want to hear about Lenin. I don’t want to hear about Marx. I just want a super plainspoken, straightforward agenda with a straightforward way of selling it.”
With over 800,000 subscribers and nearly 670 million total views on TH-cam, selling a progressive agenda is clearly something Kulinski knows how to do - even Democracy Now, the long-standing flagship of progressive media, cannot match his reach on the platform. Chapo Trap House can certainly boast a wildly devoted fan base (and a not insignificant degree of media influence), but their audience is roughly half the size of Kulinski’s.
While Secular Talk might be more likely to be looped in with the progressive networks around Air America and Pacifica alums like Sam Seder than the more resolutely socialist world, Kulinski’s fiery rhetoric, razor-sharp class instincts, and knack for withering takedowns sets him apart from his peers. Judging by his rhetoric alone, he’s closer to a Eugene Debs than a Chris Hayes.
But unlike Hayes, Amy Goodman, or his friend Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks - who began airing Secular Talk on his web network seven years ago - the thirty-two-year-old Kulinski is virtually invisible in the mainstream media. Despite his enormous fan base, his show has never once been mentioned in the obligatory trend pieces on “the Millennial Left” pumped out by the prestige media. Nor has Kulinski’s name ever popped up at all in the New York Times, Vox, the New Yorker, New York Magazine, or the Washington Post, despite his leading role in cofounding Justice Democrats, the organization widely credited with sweeping Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of “the Squad” to power.
Just last week, his Wikipedia page was deleted. The reason? “There is very simply no [reliable source] coverage of this person,” according to one moderator. In new media, he’s king - the Sean Hannity of the Berniecrat left. In old media, he’s nobody.
I suspect there are a few reasons for that. There is nothing “cool” about Kulinski’s show. (As a friend put it, “‘Welcome to Secular Talk’ sounds like something you’d hear on Egyptian radio.”) His no-nonsense social-democratic politics won’t get him much cred with the Full Communism crowd. He records his show not in Brooklyn or Los Angeles, but in a studio he built himself in his modest Westchester home. His hair is too groomed and his taste in clothes too preppy to qualify as “Dirtbag Left.” Nor has he ever attended an n+1 release party. “Not only have I not attended one,” he says, “I have no idea what that means.”
And yet he’s astonishingly plugged-in for a young man in the suburbs. Wondering how Sanders ended up on the Joe Rogan Experience? Kulinski, a frequent guest on Rogan’s wildly popular show, introduced them. “You make the most sense to me,” Rogan told Kulinski on a recent episode. “You’re a normal person.”
Much like Sanders himself, Kulinski’s show has a massive audience that just doesn’t compute with our media’s understanding of “what the kids want” or even “what the left-wing kids want.”
It’s probably for the best - the very woke and very WASP-ish decorum haunting much of the media world is nowhere to be found in Secular Talk. “Corporate Democrats over-focus on identity as a trick to divert you from the issues that unite us all - class issues,” he said on a recent episode.

As a Palestinian Christian from Gaza, thank you for speaking out for us as humans. Our church was bombed last night. Over 500 dead and most of our Christian community was sheltering there. I don’t know how long this massacre will last, but I pray you get a place in heaven for speaking out for the oppressed. God bless.
I heard that news, so sorry for your loss, and as a fellow Christian, may their souls rest in Heaven and God Bless!

Piers just loves bringing on people who will embarrass him.
Do you know who the guy he brought on is? Have you seen any of his content ?
@@EddyP596I have, love Mohammad Hijab
@EddyP596 yes he's based
I’m asking the OP not his fanboys. I’m asking if he thinks Hijab believes in the values of the progressive left
@EddyP596 absolutely not. He thinks all apostates should be killed. And men are allowed to marry 9 year old kids.
A line has been drawn more clearly: those who cannot condemn the IDF and those who can.
Kyle is on the right side of history.
*those who cannot condemn wrongdoing
God Bless the IDF, the only thing standing between Hamas and Israeli children.
* those who cannot condemn war crimes, especially when committed by an ally
Piers is a delusional hypocrite and war criminal supporter
IDF is just acting at the direction of Netanyahu's government. Maybe the Israeli citizens need to rise up against the IDF and Netanyahu to stop the war crimes like Israel reasoned that the Palestinians could of disposed Hamas from power.
Piers got obliterated by Bassem Youssef. You need to watch that one and do a video on it.
People keep making this argument that the only reason Israel is doing all this is because of Hamas, but Bassem slaps that down and leaves Piers speechless after mentioning Palestinians die in the West Bank all the time, but yet Hamas does not control that area.
He also makes a brilliant point in regards to the "exchange rate" of human life since Piers keeps asking people "What is the proportionate response to Oct 7th." With everyone hyper fixated on the way people died and not how many people died, I think this is the perfect point to hammer Israel supporters on.
The entire interview was a bit dark, and I cried for the lack of humanity that Piers was showing Bassem. It was literally heartbreaking, but I felt he had made all the right points.
@neunundneunzigluftballons3182 you should attend a concert in Israel....
I honestly think a public toilet gets more respect than Piers Morgan 🤣
A public toilet has a use.
Being a public toilet? Normally Piers has to pay for that sort of thing.
You guys are killin me 😂
Public toilets don't defend genocide
Public toilets don't hack the voicemail of murdered schoolgirls to publish in the shitty newspapers they edit
Piers was waffling like crazy. Trying to run away from a straight answer.
It's quite hilarious he Literally let this person on his show But doesn't have the guts to answer a straight question.
If someone attacks you and you punch him in the face and knock him out, that’s self-Defense.If you proceed to beat his wife and kids to death that’s not.
That’s a great example
As simple as that is, you’d think it’d be harder to sell the BS Piers is shoveling. Yet, here we are…😒
Very well put
Exactly. I would add if you are in a large crowd with your family and someone from said crowd fires a shot that kills one of your family you just can’t proceed to mow down everyone in the crowd because you’re not sure who exactly fired the shot. Then proceed to blame whoever fired the shot for you killing bystanders in your efforts to get retribution..
1000%
Honestly bassem did a way better job of curb stomping piers today
💯
And Bassem is a good person unlike this conservative pos.
Hijab is the biggest biggot
It was a thing of beauty. The dark humor was epic. *Chefs kiss*
Bassem is a satirist.. Hijab acting the same way would not bring his points across like he would want to.
Hijab was most accurate and to the point. Most Western commentators have the holocaust guilt syndrom like their parents were the ones who put jews in gas chambers..
In the West we are literally supporting the longest and most brutal ethnic cleansing and slow genocide in history. In a couple of centuries they will teach kids about how big a cowards we all are.
In 2021, the ICC launched a probe to investigate Israel War Crimes (which the US has been blocking). In 2022, Amnesty International denounced Israel as an apartheid state, and later that year, a UN report on human rights in occupied Palestinean territories said apartheid was not sufficient, and that Israel's actions represented "the hallmark of settler-colonialism and a war crime." With thousands of people arrested every year without due process - including hundreds of minors (as young as 12).
All of that predates the terrorist attack - so, would Mr. Morgan condemn those? Of course not. He is not speaking from a position of morality. He is a cheerleader for his side - simple as that.
The Arabs refused to take in refugees from wars they started and lost.
If they did that all of those people would have been out of Israel living as good as lives as you can hope for in a Muslim country.
Instead their children and grandchildren are locked in a permanent refugee status until Palestine becomes a state inside vital Israeli territory.
The world sees Israel fight them in self defense and condemns them. Whilst failing to notice the reason why they’re in that situation in the first place. To be pawns in the Arab’s never ending attempt to destroy the Jewish State.
In a way, this perfectly demonstrates how the conflict between Israel and Palestinians(among others) is talked about: Widespread condemnation of atrocities committed by non-Israelis, and a lot of tap dancing when it comes to atrocities committed by Israel’s govt.
The only "tap dancing" with that was only due to the ATROCITIES israel have been committing ON the Palestinians since before and after the existence of osrael as a state.
What and how do U think happened when israel announced the beginning of their state in 48..?
They massacred the Palestinians, including women and children, much like what they're doing NOW.
And they DID rape women back then.
One war crime and human rights violation after the next and the West keep IGNORING it.
Now, hopefully.. Eventually, everyone'll see the other side and the REAL stories that've been buried or covered up or distorted all this time.
My favorite checkmate moment was when Morgan was given the hypothetical situation with the IRA lol. The look on his face was priceless….
Except the IRA didn't plan to eradicate all British people! And the IRA recognised England, Scotland and Wales as states. It's clearly a false equivalency.
He would absolutely have supported the leveling of Belfast. The people are utterly incapable of thought. Whatever the party line is, there their toes are, glued to it.
Piers should interview Kyle next. Thank you for standing with us Kyle 🇵🇸🇵🇸

Owning Morgan should be a national pass time. It's so easy and entertaining to watch.
Interestingly, women who were at the music festival, have called into israeli radio, and stated the deaths were a result of a shootout between hamas & the Idf. Also accused the Idf, of shooting indiscriminately & being responsible for alot of the deaths.
Right on cue, Netanyahu is trying to force through a new law, where Israeli citizens can be arrested for making statements, deemed not in the national interest, even if true.
This is exactly my point too, how do we even know how the truth about the attack. It definitely didn’t happen the way they said it did. There was too many unanswered questions

I'd personally never go on a debate with Piers. He does this every single time. If he agrees with your point of view you'll get all the room to talk, but if he doesn't he'll do anything in his power to derail the conversation, interrupt you at every opportunity, engage in straw men logic or simply ridicule you. He is unable to have an honest discussion. It's more important to him to pretend he's winning the debate than to actually listen what his guests are trying to say.
What is even the point of starting a conversation if you already know how you're going to end it. It's not journalism when the conclusion of the debate is forgone, it's propaganda.
You’re doing a great job covering this whole situation honestly Kyle.
Keep up the good work, wanted to let you know it’s appreciated.
The Bassem Yousaf interview the next day was *chefs kiss*
Yes it was 🙌🏻
What about bassem Youssef proving Morgan an idiot and then getting cut off without being able to respond to Shapiro's lacky?!
This whole debate makes me ashamed to be a human being, honestly.
It's impossible to have discussions with people who are willfully ill-informed.
Hijab is willfully ill-informed but he is coached by his imams in the madrasa
The whole thing with they voted for Hamas makes me think, who are they? If half of palestinians are children, then they weren't even born when Hamas came into power. And even those who were born then didn't necessarily vote as I would assume there is an age where you can vote and cannot. So most Palestininas today, did not vote for Hamas. Unless there was a second voting that happened?
There was no second voting so your assessment is accurate. That's just an excuse they use to justify murdering civilians if it was not that they'd use something else. What is correct though that Israelis have consistently voted for bibi murderer till very recently so by using their logic one could argue that Israeli civilians are legitimate target too
And it doesn't matter if they voted for hamas either ..
That's like saying bombing American cities is ok because they voted the war criminal George bush or the war criminal Biden
It's nonsense
Civilians are Civilians
Anyone who can't go as far as admitting both the IDF and HAMAS are wrong for killing civilians simply should not be taken seriously in any kind of debate.
How are you supposed to stop Hamas WITHOUT killing civilians?
@@infidelheretic923 The same way you do any investigation by doing the hard work of gathering intel on their location, and building a special strike force and attacking specific locations. If the IDF can't hunt down HAMAS without doing equally heinous acts then they should start negotiating.
@DreamStepper funny enough they definitely have the means to pull off such a operation. But this is about sending a message.
@@infidelheretic923 What makes you think killing civilians will stop Hamas? A violent and indiscriminate response from Israel will only help grow Hamas. Of course, this wouldn't be the first the Netanyahu regime chose to help grow Hamas.
Thank you Kyle for having the most level headed take I've listened to during this whole mess.
It's been ugly out there.
David Pakman is pretty similar too. Most left-side commentators are pretty rational. Hamas is bad, the IDF targeting civilians is just as bad.
People complaining about Palestinians receiving 100million in humanitarian aid but I don't see the problem.
The correct answer on IDF is: I condemn war crimes on case-by-case basis when they've been acknowledged as such by expert organizations after thorough investigation.
Also, Israel has no duty to provide electricity and water to the party they're at war with.
@@LVArturs nobody is asking them to provide electricity and water to Palestine. They've targeted civilian infrastructure and knocked out the essentially utilities of noncombatants. The employing tactics very similar to the Russians in Ukraine. That have not limited themselves to targeting Hamas but rather are indiscriminately causing harm to innocent Palestinians as well.

Piers must have a special kind of amnesia to say IRA did not kill civilians!!!
I was in London in the early 80'eis when IRA BOMBED THE UNDERGROUND!!!! People were killed and none was adversaries to any form of IRA!!!!!
So the answer here is no Government did not flatten North Ireland civilians because of that!!!
Good video and keep the pressure on with turning opinions!!
Kind regards the Danish Viking
Yup, they blew up a pub near where I grew up in west London. I heard the blast from my house a postcode away.
Definitely not a military target.
No they just went in a massacred innocent women and children in ballymurphy.
The British government is no innocent party when it came to northern Ireland... They even fed information to the RUC who fed it to the loyalist paramilitaries who gave it to the shakill butcher... Often wrong information that was used to kidnap and torture innocent civilians.
The army used to also patrol Catholic areas to intimidate residents even children who they point their guns at ( I was 5 at the time). The RUC would stop you if you had a Catholic school uniform on ( 11 at the time).
The stood back and let loyalists burn out the Catholics of Bombay street.... It wasn't until one silly little RUC man a Canadian reporter over the head aa civils rights march which brought what the government was doing into international light ( especially America..... Rich Irish Americans) that their tune changed because above all they didn't was how cruel and uncivilized they had been.

100% Kyle, agree with everything you said. Also, Hijab did waste a lot of time on the babies decapitation evidence probe, rather than focusing on the direct question he asked Morgan.
His point was that Western media takes any bull sho!t story the IDF gives them as gospel and broadcasting it without any authentication.
I think that was actually very important. Since piers boasts about he went against mainstream media against war in iraq that was based on a lie of wmd with no evidence. Here he is asking for evidence on babies that were decapitated which justifies people to side with isreal. He just asked for evidence and piers couldn't. Heck he said to the ambassador that the US president doesn't lie. And hes interviewed trump too.
Great analysis.

That's actually a good solution. They should go after the terrorists individually through intelligence work and special operations (or drone attacks).
Also, I would negotiate with Hamas to free the hostages. Or use a third party to communicate with them.
But what is happening right now isn't working.
Hamas has been saying for days that they are ready to release the hostages if Israel stops bombing them.
@@andresabourin2423 LOL "Hamas says"
At this point IDF is also bombing place where their people (hostage) are kept. Maybe they died with the Palestinian as “collateral damage” too.
Isr@el don’t care about their own people but want justice for them even if they had to kill them in the process.
Going after the terrorists like that would probably not work. Some Israeli special forces kicking down the door and saving hostages might work the first time, but once that becomes known, Hamas will start executing the hostages every time they hear the wind blow. Drone attacks also have a high civilian death rate, so it´s not that different from bombing. Also, the minute some important people are killed, the hostages will start being executed. The truth is the hostages are not coming back. There is a good chance most of them are already dead.

Morgan knows who feeds him. He has always been a mouth for rent. We all know it.
Every Palestinian supporter have already condemned the actions of HAMAS - Notice that as soon as that question was answered then the narrative of the right to defence is being pushed only to take up most part of the interview until time is up without the host returning the condemning of Israels actions not just over the past weeks but over the last 75 years. The question then still remains despite the condemnation of HAMAS in GAZA why Israel is not held to the same standards with their actions in the WEST BANK where there is no HAMAS
I do agree with that statement but the timing of the mass protests only gives attention to Hamas due to the terrorist attacks. Where were these protests in the weeks prior? Where were these protests when Hamas was killing palistinians and fatah members after their election? Protesting so closely to these terrorist attacks rewards them with the attention they wanted from the terrorist attack, and thus is seen as support by Hamas.
@@peterhorton9063 true to some degree, but it's a two way street: media did not pay attention to any protests before this and now it's under a magnifying glass.

They didn't protest when fatah and other civilians were brutally murdered by Hamas......... My belief is if they were really pro Palestinian they would of marched against Hamas and all the atrocities they have committed on the palistinian people as well. It is a double standard that is rewarding terrorist behavior, by giving their cause attention directly after a terrorist attack.

I’m glad that Kyle made a forthright attempt to answer the burning question: How can Israel respond to Hamas’s terrorist attack in a way that doesn’t involve committing more war crimes? His answer (at 7:10) is: “special forces and lots of intelligence work.” Difficult, time-consuming, and expensive? Yes. But the alternative, Israel’s current approach, is unthinkable and must be stopped/prevented.
I saw this segment yesterday and was astounded at how badly Morgan got his ass handed to him. To say his guest came prepared is an understatement.

OMG, Piers Morgan is doing what video essayist and fellow wife guy NonCompete did in his debate against Vaush where he clearly stated that he can’t do hypotheticals because apparently it's “sophistry” and “idealistic”. God, Piers is so dishonest.
Muhammad Hijab schooled him entirely.
I know it’s frustrating as hell to talk with pro-Israeli people about this particular topic. You literally have to pin down the exact wording so that you make clear that you’re asking them if the condemn the IDF. Killing over 1000 Palestinian children in their bombing campaign. They seem to always circle back to Israel has a right to defend themselves.
I agree that Israel does have a right to defend themselves BUT that is not the question. Going after Hamas is defending themselves. Indiscriminately killing civilians and children is something completely different. They know there’s a huge difference. They are just to cowardice to admit it publicly.
Defend Themselves would have ended with the Hamas Attackers inside Israel, they are already Liquidated, Bombing Gaza is just pure Blood lust with no end in sight
I mean for some reason in the western world, a bomb dropped on some home that has a terrorist ratio of say 1 terrorist to 10 civilians is deemed okay, but a suicide bomber that bombs a bus that has one soldier on it and say 10 civilians is not okay. He was trying to get to these points, i believe. Does the delivery method of the bomb really matter? What is the acceptable ratio, terrorist to civilian deaths in a bombing (collateral damage math), if any in war?
it might be somewhat idealistic to say only 1:0 is okay, but 1:9 is pretty insane. If the collatoral outweighs the target massively, there's something really wrong.@@peterhorton9063
@@peterhorton9063 the thing though is that Israel has the most advanced military and intelligence resources at their disposal. They can put together strategic, surgical operations that specifically target Hamas members without having to do collective punishment, but they’re intentionally choosing not to go that route. And the mainstream is acting like that is not even an option like the only way for Israel to defend itself is to indiscriminately bomb Gaza. 🤦♂️
@@parkermudsen1063 Surgical, what does surgical mean in a bomb, that is marketing talk to make you feel good. I don't think you know what surgical means. So thousands of children have died from IDF bombs and you still think they are surgical. IDF has bombed and shelled UN camps multiple times in this 50 year wars, on accident. Was that medical malpractice then during failed surgical bombing? I don't know how medical jargon is injected into talk about a bomb....
See the one where Piers brought Bassem Yossef. That was even better than this one.
Ty Kyle.
How can you say anything against your paymasters?
say the J word, I know you want to.
It's fascinating the different reality people live in. I watched this live and thought Piers Morgan was measured and respectful. While the other guy looked and acted like an animal.
An "animal"..? Wow... I never knew any animal that can speak, let alone argue...
Just out of curiosity... Just what specifically do you see that gentleman did or say that earned him to be called an " animal"...?
Takes one to know one, usually that's the case... But in this one, i think the only animal here is U.
Ya racist f**k. Now f**k off.
Exactly
That’s so dumb, he was passionate defending human rights. You just think white is right and you can massacre everyone of you wear a suit and drink tea and drive a BMW.
You must have watched another debate. He didn’t answer any of his questions. How was that measured? He asked him to condemn the killings of civilians in Gaza and any rational human being will have no problem in answering that.
Awww, you think brown people are animals. Thats very telling. 🙄🙄
He owned the wiesel Pierce Morgan.
