Great video, I think the problem with young people getting bikes is the is the cost of it all. You're right about high Hp bikes. You don't need it. I just have much fun on my GN300 and my Himalayan.
That’s true the cost now in comparative to a car is bloody expensive, the thing is though social media dictates you need to buy a 20k bike to start on completely not the case
Looking forward to the 865 conversion next winters project summer is for cruising want to achieve an iron but sorta of thing with this first 1000km in under 24 hrs
@Remotonz 865cc is a great step. I went from a 650cc straight to a 1200cc within a couple of months of learning to ride. An idiot thing to do? Maybe. Do I ride my 865cc or my old man's 1200cc like a 650cc? absolutely not! I was thinking about getting a big sports bike once I got my full. I most likely won't now. I enjoy low-end torque too much now it's easy riding. I'm just not ringing the sh@t out of an engine to go fast.At the end of the day, NZ roads aren't up to high speed motor cycle riding.
@@ivananda865ccinterceptor your right the best bike for New Zealand is one with plenty of torque most roads here are to shit for a high reving screaming four, actually alot of fun pushing a low hp bike fast through corners
@@TheSar ah I’m running the stinger exhaust, and that is with the baffle in, it’s a bit to loud without baffle, if you go onto my shorts will see some videos with just exhaust noise reving it out
@ I love the sound of the stinger, it’s enough rowdy but not to obnoxious if you keep revs down l, I mean if your blasting can be heard a few blocks away, wife can confirm haha so much so she knew when to open the garage door, for the price is one of best exhausts on the market
@@Remotonz Yeah agree mate. I love the Stinger too. Keep it up mate. I've been riding for 20 years and love my Interceptor 650. Sold the big bikes. Little bikes that you can really RIDE are the key.
@ good to hear, and I have seen you commented on a few of my videos I appreciate it, and I find with bad conditions of New Zealand roads and the tight twisty nature a low hp bike is so much fun

I think once you do 865cc conversion, you'll be very happy with the bike performance.

Bike sounds good.
