Anyone watching this that is working under the car, the pump easily slides out of the chain with a bit of tilting, it’s easy to relieve pressure from the bottom tensioner using your hand.
i have a question i have a 2013 hyundai sonata 2.4 i keep having a code p0014 i have replaced the oil pump and set the time up for it to the crank and the guides also the chain and tenchener also replaced the cam timming chain and guids and tentchurer and the vvt set wright and also the 2 cam sencers on the head and also replaced the oil and filter with 5 20 sinthedick and synthidick filter also replaced the spark plugs runs and feals the best it has ever but im still getting a p0014 so what have i missed any idea what i can look for thanks robert
Love the videos guys! But ... you need more info !! I rebuild a ton of these motors. Have a 2017 sonata 2.4 I'm working on now and it is the new version of this motor! Yall need an update haha !! If anyone has questions feel free to contact. Things changed over but not to much. Cheers all!
NO! You can buy them at the dealership for a cheap amount. They are torque to yield and possibly can break. Not worth risking it. Unless you are good at removing broken studs. @@domenicveneziano1068

I commend you for admitting when you messed up (oil pump tensioner) that is a sign of a good technician. Keep up the amazing work! Love your video's.

dont you need to re time the engine thought?

Are the oil pump bolts reusable?
NO! You can buy them at the dealership for a cheap amount. They are torque to yield and possibly can break. Not worth risking it. Unless you are good at removing broken studs. @@domenicveneziano1068
