A lot can be said about Warrior, but he wasn't wrong what he said to this fan trying to jump in the ring. Also was this guy really gonna try to fight Warrior? I don't think that would have ended well for him if that was the case.
I’m waiting for mankind’s title win in 1999. To this day, I still think that was the single greatest moment with the greatest pop in wrestling history.
Mom passed away this week, I am so thankful for your video's brother. Watching this for 40 minutes is a great way to distract myself from the grief ❤️ The Zelda chest got me 😂
Hang in there, I know it’s rough. Lost my dad last August. WrestlingBios and Jim Cornette were two of my go-to little escapes when I needed to just not think about things for 30 minutes or so. My sympathy to you and your family.
That’s one thing I can say Vince was good about: he was willing to do anything and everything that he would’ve expected of talent. Even toward the end of his original tenure backstage he held his end of the bargain: it’s how we got that video of Vince in a full suit doing a trust fall before WrestleMania 36 to show Rob Gronkowski it was safe.
@@gabepollock1641 exactly, however I almost didn't put up the comment due to that tragic Owen fall, I'm not sure he did that first, but I'm sure if Owen told Vinny nope! Vinny would have pulled that spot.
Since this series started, I’ve been waiting for this episode. Attending the WCW Monday Night Nitro event in Rochester, New York, marked the first time I attended a wrestling event. I remember getting there with my dad right when the doors opened. Juventud Guerrera was hurdling the seats row by row for some reason, and my dad called out to him. I brought a sign reading “Goldberg + Herman = tag team champs” Good memories and thanks WB for putting this series together.

WCW gave away Bret Hart vs Hulk Hogan on free TV with no buildup. A match that was 5 years in the making, a match that was far more anticipated than Hogan vs Warrior. People wonder why WWF won.
I love what you have been doing for the longest time. Your content reflects the love you have for pro-wrestling but more so for the hard work, dedication, and creativity that makes it great. Your videos are what I reach for whenever I reflect on Afghanistan and need something to make the pain stop. I’m well but it happens from time to time. Thank you for this amazing channel and thank you all for supporting. Have a nice day!
I was caught up in the first bit of the Wood promo and after listening to the rest of it, I am begging for wood shirts or wood merch. I haven’t feel this way about wood since the golden age of tag teams during the late attitude and ruthless aggression eras. Again have a nice day.
There is a lot of pro wrestling channels on TH-cam but, this one is the absolute best, full stop. Thanks so much for your hard work, Ryan. BTW, the different ways you do the Bret Hart “shut up” is very creative and funny. You love to see it.
This nitro was actually my first introduction to professional wrestling. I went over to my cousin's house one day and he told me that he had been to a wrestling show. I had no idea what wrestling was so he said here I taped it and handed me a VHS. I remember me being a young 6-year-old pressing the play button and coming across La Parka walking down the aisle with a steel chair in hand. When he hit that corkscrew moonsault my young brain was immediately captivated by what I was watching and I have been a fan ever since. It's also why La Parka is my favorite wrestler of all time
When Austin attacked Vince jumping off the Zamboni, I didn't realize that Taker and Kane were in the ring. I laughed really hard when they just stood there and let Vince get beat up by Austin 😆🤣 9:03 is probably my favorite meme to come from this series. Never disappoints lol
This was a classic episode one I remember flipping back n forth thinking this was the best Monday night ever!!! Thanks you wrestling bios for the memories relived!!! ❤
We're approaching the worst of WCW pre-Russo. The Ultimate Warrior fiasco, the end of Goldberg's streak and the finger poke of doom. WCW tried hiring Russo to recover from that and he made everything much worse. I think Bischoff booked himself into a corner and he gave too much power to some people and he didn't know how to get out of the hole he'd digged. Vince McMahon had found his groove with Stone Cold, the Rock, DX, Undertaker, Kane and Mankind and later on the addition of the Dudleys, Kurt Angle, Trish Stratus, Lita and the Radicalz. He found the Acolytes kinda randomly and he "discovered" the Hardys, Edge & Christian and by late 99 and early 2000 WCW might as well have surrendered.
FPoD was botched, it should have worked well. Ultimate Warrior still got buys and was interesting to fans, just handled badly. Godlbergs streak had to end at some point. I think things like this Bret/Hogan match, Hogan running for president and the dissolution of NWO Elite...these are more easily blamable things.
If we didn't lose him when we did, his piledrivers on Austin in '97 and Severn right here would have been more of a big deal. Best-case scenario is that they become an old shame that he'd eventually fix, and make amends with the guys involved.
Thanks largely to your channel, I subscribed to the WWE Network yesterday and whiled away the hours waiting for this video catching up on even more wrestling action from my youth. Thank you Wrestling Bios!
Raw wins this week and Raw has a lot to face next week. "The Bed Pan McMahon" segment is going to be amazing. Will Nitro win the point with the LWO? I want to see the attempt and see you soon in October 1998.
One of the best nights of raw!!!!!When I think of stone cold the Zamboni is what comes to mind. And this promo by the rock was when I first realized wow he’s good
35:41 I think Taker did a shoot interview about this fairly recently. The Rock was shocked that he was going to get the pin fall over Taker. Taker stated “it’s your night”
Apparently, the ending of the Raw main event was improvised. Time was running out, and Taker decided to take the pinfall for the Rock. It really established the Rock big time.
During my re-watch of this period a few years back, this Owen match was one time I wish I had a time machine to go back and stop it from happening, since this match leads directly into the reintroduction of the Blue Blazer and we all know where that leads.
Today just went from sucky to great! I couldn’t find anything I wanted to listen to( i dont watch because I listen while cleaning). It was hilarious as hell seeing Undertaker and Kane break Vince’s ankle with Jim Ross yelling “Oh My God! Oh My God!” 😆😆😆
I loved the "you love to see it" during the Bulldog match. Very Belfast 🤣👌
JR's "OH MY GAWD! OH MY GAWD!" call as Vince writhes in pain gets replayed in my head a lot, and with good reason.
Classic moment of Austin driving the Zamboni!

My favorite part of the series, and it’s a damn good series.
That laughing Austin, getting escorted out, is one of my favorite Austin moments.
Vinnymac during the attitude era was very underrated! He always sold great and proved that he would do everything he asked talent to do.
That’s one thing I can say Vince was good about: he was willing to do anything and everything that he would’ve expected of talent.
