    Thanks so much, this was a big help. One thing that held me up, and I thought I'd share because it might help others working with WooCommerce, is the data layer lables for WooCommerce have changed since this video was created. The transaction value is not stored under TransactionTotal anymore. And for me this was a challenge because, while I could find the value, it was nested. E.g. it was 2 levels down as a sub item. I had no idea how to target that, but finally found you can use orderData.totals.total . So the value is under orderdata, then under a sub section called totals, and then a sub item of that is total. So if you replace TransactionTotal in the example above with orderData.totals.total that's how you can target the order value when you set your variable in GTM.

      This is spot on, thank you! The other thing to remember is that you have to actually enable the purchase data to show via the plugin. It will not get pushed through the data layer unless you check the box off!!

    Thankyou for the video . We have completed the above steps. I had already created pixel and my conversion value was not getting recorded earlier. Now in GTM variable it is reflecting me right conversion value, how can I make sure that it reflects on meta PURCHASE CONVERSION VALUE metric. Also after checking through Facebook pixel helper under custom parameters sent it just shows currency: INR and not value. Please help me how to sort that thing

    But what will the trigger for that variable? I saw Google Ads Conversion in your case....

      I think I can help. What will trigger is the variable that we defined "Transaction Value" because we edited it on the html code itself. the data layer with that information changes based on the value of the purchase. You saw that the action is being used on Google Ads, not that the trigger is Google Ads.

    Hello I hope you are replying to the comments,
    I'm having trouble sending purchase value to the meta ads, the thing is that i'm selling a course so our price is fixed and not dynamic, but our transaction happens through razorpay, and then the user redirected to a thank you page( there's no order receipt on this page).
    So the problem is event set-up tool is not showing option to track url or button the thank you page, to set it as a purchase event and take value from the checkout initiate page.
    What can i do please help.

      The whole document when the browser loads worn turn into a document object. If you are good at JS you can fetch those values from the DOM and send them over to FB or Analytics or Google Ads.

    My question is, once you completed the payment, thank you page comes and the tag is fired but what will happen if you reload or refresh the thank you page, will the tag fire again??

      All the marketing and analytics platform do the reduplication so the transactions won't be counted twice.
