      We do kinda know about this it’s in the History books taught in school and the documents have been declassified since back in the 90s it’s not like it’s a secret that the government tries to keep the public from knowing. Quite honestly when you’re in the center of politics in the world your attention span for a particular issue in a particular part of the world is short unless if the public thinks it’s important enough and the president makes it important you can argue that this stuff in Latin America is important but when it gets blurred into the countless other issues in all corners of the world it becomes just another place with problems to the average American there’s good and bad of being the world police. From the perspective of an American. I think this show lacks perspectives of Americans.

      You must be bullshitting! How did I get to a leftist liberal video? I’ll admit he crushed this dude. But from my perspective, the old Americans arguments were correct. Amazing how our preconceived political beliefs can change the whole essence of a debate. I think the host was a far superior debater(?), but not on substance. The old guy is absolutely correct with most/all his arguments. I’m an American conservative and agree we shouldn’t be meddling in other country’s affairs, like we are in Venezuela. WTF? And we’ve made mistakes in the past. But in aggregate, our contributions to the entire world have been a net positive. This Mahdi character (the host) was able to control the narrative, the pace-and he had the audience and network on his side! That’s why it appears to you-and even I-that he won the debate. But dig deeper-MUCH DEEPER-into the facts and realities/situations as they were in the past, and you’ll see that the American was just as persuasive with the substance of his arguments (to me, at least) as was the host. Same thing they do on all “news” networks these days. Even Fox, but they take the conservative point of view. That there exemplifies the problems of our politics today. Sides have been chosen, loyalty to party has superseded logic, and open minds no longer exist. It’s terrible. I’m more liberal than the Republicans on many issues. Yet I’ve only 2 choices. Not good. Sorry for ranting, but finally, WE DO HAVE US “JOURNALISTS “ SHARP AS AND SHARPER than this limey bloke. Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Sean Hannity, Gavin McGinnes, Mark Levin, Candace Owens, Larry Elder, Ann Coulter,....the list goes on. Any of these mentioned would destroy this leftist Limey with no problems.

All because these countries do not meet the political or economic agenda of United States. Is got nothing to do with the leaders of these countries being communist or evil. Is all about who has benefit for USA and how can United states fain these benefits.
    Just take a look at Libya, General Gaddafi, he was best buddies with America and the West because he did what they wanted him to do, but the minute the rules changed and he wanted to do something for his country, they overthrow him for same the same reason as they put him on there. I agree with the young lady wearing glasses and has pretty long hair. American Corporations should be held responsible for their actions and damages performed in foreign nations. eg., oil leaks into their rivers, crimes committed, and other laws that the US maintains within its' own borders. • @scholargnome
      @scholargnome 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Actually, Hasan portrays all of them in various shades of gray. If you actually knew the topic they're discussing (R2P, Al-Maliki's blunders, and this video), you can clearly see that there are undeniable facts that makes his guests tongue-twisted in their bid to justify the unjustifiable. I think that the guests have been informed before-hand of the ordeal they're facing, otherwise, they could have told Hasan in front of his audience that a particular question has not been agreed upon, or that the guest could simply walk out. There are, however, people who just wants to hear what they want to hear. That's why for them hearing the truth is painting something black/white. Sure, there are nuances but it still remains the fact that injustice has been committed and someone has got to be held accountable.
