    I was looking for how to remove the T-Handle type throttle handle, so I could get the fuel-tank out. Nothing on TH-cam about it. So what I used was two claw-hammers, gripped in my right hand on both sides of it, and gave it a shock pull. It popped right off. I even worked in mowers for 5 years, and saw lots of tore-up ones, but This video gave me the idea. So if you are here with a T-Handle Type, ...2 claw hammers works.

    Really valuable tips! I'm not a professional, but I've done quite a bit of work on small equipment and received a Craftsman 24" snow blower (247.881721) for service. Could not get the throttle knob off the lever. Put some WD40 into that recess, but no luck. Thought..."Anyone else having this problem???" Came into TH-cam and saw your video and realized this is a common problem. Sprayed some Liquid Wrench into the recess and let it soak in, used the vise grips protecting the plastic with a shop towel, and was able to pull the knob off. Also used your tip to coat the lever with some white grease to ease future removal. Again, thank you!

    Good Ideas sir great video!! ty , i just cover the carburetor area with a plastic back and pour very hot water over the plastic handle only with a small funnel,bingo,it pops of very easy with a 90 degree pliers and very little effort, make sure you tuck the plastic bag up around so no water gets anywhere and use a air blow gun to blow away all the water before you take it outside in cold weather. ty

    • @EliminatorPerformance
      @EliminatorPerformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes pop that plug out and you can use a wooden dowel or something small/thin enough. Usually 3/4 filled is what's recommended, but I use stens 00 grease and fill them almost full then put the plug back in

    Is there a throttle tension adjustment?
    I have 2018 357cc Powermore engine which just (yesterday) started to "pull back" into about half throttle and not stay in the full throttle position.
    Just thought I'd ask before ripping mine apart in frustration..... Lol

    • @EliminatorPerformance
      @EliminatorPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! This might be worthy of a video actually lol there's a 10mm nut on a stud that holds this lever on the engine. There's a wave washer under it, sometimes the nut backs off and then the tension of the governor pulls it back. Remove the plastic carb cover and slightly tighten that nut. 8:54 on this video you'll see it: th-cam.com/video/Lk2aXjBXrkk/w-d-xo.html

    What about the choke knob?

  • @kenhilson786
    @kenhilson786 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    On the 208 cc I didn't have to remove that lever because of the cutout in the cover to allow its removal but that d**n choke lever wouldn't pop off. It pulled the vertical shaft out that hooks into the choke lever at the carb. I failed to remove the choke knob when I had it apart. Putting it back together I set choke open and pointed choke knob to run thinking I could just tap shaft back down into lever. Of course not. I broke the lever on the carb. Part not available of course. New carb $100. Rod available on backorder. I then did get choke knob off after find a youtube video that confirmed that it could be removed. Then with super glue and tie straps and a piece of metal the shaft is now permanently attached to the choke lever. I also added a fuel shutoff similar to how I added one to a larger powermore engine. I show that one at gadasa videos on youtube.

    • @EliminatorPerformance
