Racing drivers are more scared being a passenger than being behind the wheel as they have no control of the car and what they’re feeling is completely alien compared to actually driving it. Non race car drivers tend to be less scared

Rob and Sabine times were Bridge to Gantry as done in a tourist session, so not full lap. Dale Lomas and Guy did a full lap. Still impressive BTG times tho.

It was also opened 20 years before the Nürburgring. Guy is also competitive at the TT so I'm sure a course that's only a third as long with half as many corners isn't going to phase him. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to doing the Nürburgring, it's an interesting/technical track, but these program makers don't half spout twaddle trying to *sex up* their content.

It is the longest circuit in use. The longest was Pescara in Italy. The roads that formed the circuit where once Fangio clocked 309Km/h are still there.

Back in the late '60s, F1 drivers got nowhere near the practice and number of laps at the 'Ring they can today. Those guys learned it pretty well. And their cars were completely off the ground too often for comfort; Flugplatz was well named.
It all comes down to safety, having so much to learn meant there was more chance for mistakes. Out of safety concerns they stopped using the track and won't ever have such a complicated track again.

the tt is much more dangerous and scary than this because the tt is actually an old narrow mountain road that has 35mph speed limits it is not purposely made and maintained for racing. u can't really know the extent of how scary a narrow mountain road can be until u try it yourself i lived most of my life in places with 4 line flat highways but now moved to the mountains with negative incline corners where the corners have an angle not only forward but side ways. its very overwhelming at first but after a few months you get adapted but in a car you can push it after your first go because cars are 10 times easier to control and forgiving
Agreed with everything you said but would add, personally I'd be more worried about those corners with the honking great stone walls on the exit. Go round those corners a bit quick, get it wrong, those walls will have ZERO pity, and even less give in them. Seriously, Guy has a tank of courage the size of the Pacific. (remember riding a pushbike at more than 100mph....)

Ive never bin on this track in real but i know it so well from gaming because im a racing and simulation freak lol..and this track is the best race track in the world in my eyes..its got every corner u can find in the book on it exept for a corkscrew bend..getting ur line wrong or comming outta certain corners too fast finds one going for the barriers on the next corner hehe 😉..this track is for the professional racer only who knows this brilliant track..many find that out too late 😂😂😂..peace ✌

I’d like to see what the “drivers” eyes would look like if Guy could somehow drive HIM around the Isle of Man TT course once at 137mph average speed. When I was watching the video I thought Guy was pretty calm in the passenger seat and the the drivers voice said something about the size of Guy’s eyes.... what? Don’t get me wrong.... the Nurenberg race way is damn impressive but nothing.... NOTHING... is as scary as the Isle of Man TT!! Oh... and the Tata motors Jaguar probably broke down after one lap too.

Nah i think its because of all the people that would build houses around it, then complain about the noise, and it would eventually get demolished cause people would want to build more strip malls and apartments on the land if its in a area with higher demand real estate, but then complain about people driving fast on the street

Nordschleife is awesome and I'd love to give it a go one day. 2:09 that statement right there probably has Guy Martin's bull shit o meter going mad because he's a master of a track about three times as long, narrower, way more demanding and even more elevation ; ) It's quite sad all that obsession, throwing their life away to do the same track over and over again. Speed's intoxicating and proper fun but when a race track becomes all consuming and it's all you live for then people need to think long and hard. Get a hobby =P Great stuff.

The only way he could be right about guy is that sat in the passenger seat guy isn't in control of the vehicle like he usually is. He's relying on another man's probably inferior to his own skills, I'd find that a bit nerve wracking.
Unless you’re ridden/driven on the green hell you have no idea what so ever what this place is like . Left to his own devices like for like would guy ever beaten the record not a chance . I’ve also done a lap with Dale lomas he is the dogs . Having said that he has done in the region of 20000 laps

Nordschleife is awesome and I'd love to give it a go one day. 2:09 that statement right there probably has Guy Martin's bull shit o meter going mad because he's a master of a track about three times as long, narrower, way more demanding and even more elevation ; )
It's quite sad all that obsession, throwing their life away to do the same track over and over again. Speed's intoxicating and proper fun but when a race track becomes all consuming and it's all you live for then people need to think long and hard. Get a hobby =P

The only way he could be right about guy is that sat in the passenger seat guy isn't in control of the vehicle like he usually is. He's relying on another man's probably inferior to his own skills, I'd find that a bit nerve wracking.
Unless you’re ridden/driven on the green hell you have no idea what so ever what this place is like . Left to his own devices like for like would guy ever beaten the record not a chance . I’ve also done a lap with Dale lomas he is the dogs . Having said that he has done in the region of 20000 laps
