Growing up in the US (Detroit) I visited Vietnam last April for two weeks. Literally stayed down the street from there at Saigon Royal (airbnb). Great spot and I had a great time. Very affordable too!
I'm going back in December and considering retiring in SE Asia real soon!!
Good Luck , I'm thinking of doing the same man.
Damn, $850/ month for 2 bed and 2 bath? In Vancouver that will be at least 3 times the cost.
Dude, I live in Vancouver too. Idk why this video popped up in our algorithm 💀
$850 could raise a family of 5 in VN
But you have low income earning opportunities in Saigon and very large opportunities in Vancouver...DUH.
I think it's all relative to what you earn and where you live
@@lasol2474 Sorry you're wrong. It's based on the economic opportunities afforded by the area where the real estate is located. It doesn't matter what YOU make. It matters what the population can make because YOU don't determine the market price. Many people do.
OMG! With the rent of $850/month, she's living like a queen over there.
$850 usd is more than double the avg monthly vnmese income in saigon. A place like this is about $2500/month in Los Angeles which still only half or 1/3 of your avg monthly income.
A couple living in this type of condo normally earn around 3-4k a month in Saigon, so 850usd is quite affordable for them
@@thaivu3710you missed the point. 100 million monthly income is not the avg for a saigonese. However, making 7k usd monthly to afford a 2.5k-3.5k apartment is quite average in CA.
@@VA-bk2sz I did not say anything about avg income of Saigonese. People who make avg income do not live in this mid-end condo. And I think it is like that everywhere in the world. You are not supposed to pay more than 30% of your net income for the rent.
what's the point of comparing what locals make and what Viet Kieus make? This area is expensive for locals just like Manhattan in New York or Beverly Hills is expensive to the average American! There are plenty of places to rent that are $150-300/mo that locals can stay at.
@@bestly802you’re delusional if you think D4 is special. It’s the hood and they’re getting ripped off. Laughable even mentioning manhattan and Beverly Hills
bro y this video seem unfinished
Nice apartment. The layout looks very similar to the apartment I stayed at next to the Landmark 81 hotel. $850 a month for a 1BD is good compared to SF Bay Area where it is $3000.00 per month for a studio apartment.
In SF you have the ability to earn huge money. Not so in Saigon. Wake up.
I have been in thar exact same building. Yes it is very good and elegant. It is in a very local area and if you walk a couple blocks away you are in a very local Vietnamese type of neighborhood. It is near Bui Vien which is the backpackers’ ghetto. The rent is a bit expensive to be honest but she has two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I love Vietnam.
Saigon is “THE PLACE” to be!!!!
Trying to convince my brothers and sisters to move here...
I stayed at the Millennium it’s a nice building. D4 is great for food and activities, but usually you have to go to D1. Whatever you’re going out. It’s close, but a little inconvenient. I alsostayed at Ben Thaun Towers, way better location. I liked it a lot more.
Should have introduced her by name when she appears in the video instead of just going 'you live here? can I get a tour?'
Yeah, I agree, I think it would be nicer if he started it off authentic, unlike the typical videos we see where they pretend to bump into a complete stranger. It would also show how many friends hes made in the short time hes been living in vietnam, which is more impressive IMO. but you do you peter!
Stay tuned this is only part 1
Super chill niiice
That’s just enough for 3 days of rent in Sydney city😂
Living the high life
This is rather expensive. You can get an entire house for $600. I’ve lived in a three story penthouse in D7 with 4 guys and that was our entire rent.
Wow Vietnam has palm trees too
I live in HCM City for 5 years. Rent fee for an apartment like this is still expensive. With 850$/1 month you can rent many better apartments than this. ( of course the similar location)
Do you know if this girl has her own channel? I live in the states and would like to meet this girl on my visit to Vietnam. I'm planning some TH-cam work there and would be interested in talking to her. Thank you
Why need 2 bedrooms when she's living by herself? If her parents come to visit, just rent them a place nearby. She can cut that $850 cost in half if she rent a 1 bedroom apartment.
The bathroom has separated the toilet and the shower room which is why she lives there and pays $850 per month. Also the security is her main priority which is understandable because she lives by herself.
@@mikefoods3642 pay double the price for separated toilet & shower ? That's outrages. In term of security, every building in VN with a rental price of $400 & higher will have security.
@@NicolasD414 Western's lifestyle. She is willing to pay that much.
@@NicolasD414I agree that she pays a lot. But she earns well - being paid in USD but spending in VND. She likes the convenience of the shower with the glass door & is willing to pay for it. Her money, her choice.
@@kitty_s23456 Of course it's her choice. I'm merely making an opinion based on experience with money and life. It's great and all when she is making $4K USD in VN but hopefully that income doesn't run dry one day. I used to spend lavishly just like her when I was younger. Spending money on things that aren't necessary just because I can. Guess what? 2008 happened, financial crisis and everything crashed and burned. I went into bankruptcy and took me years to recovered. It is wise to spend frugally while she's living abroad by herself without families for support. Extra money would come handy in case of emergency. Just saying...or you can just ignore this old man talking gibberish.
850 for that? that expensive. You can find cheaper for bigger and better.
You must be good to be able to ask a stranger for a tour 😂and she was willing to do so
I see the typical moronic comments, "wow I pay 4X this amount in NYC," etc. Hey geniuses, back in your country you have unlimited opportunities to earn huge income, not so in Vietnam. Real estate is priced based on LOCATION. Most of the location variable is tied to income opportunities (some exceptions)!!! By the way, I pay $2,500/month rent in Saigon.
Wonder how she maintains the cost? Is she a business owner?
In another video, she explained her income came from freelancing remotely in USA. She is getting paid USD but her expenses are in DONG. 1USD = 25x of DONG
👍
Bro you never post
3 videos this week fam 👀
Woah, is she genZ? She has good vibes lol
Feels like this video should have been longer 😂

That stupid for rent in vietnam
"7-11 slaps." So Vietnamese are being influenced by the West. So sad.
