仁嘉隆最正美食 Best Foodie Haunts in Jenjarom

  • Dear friends
This episode is going to be a big contrast from the last one, since the last feature was on a first world’s city, Singapore. Basically food is food, you never know where you can locate great ones, be it in a metropolis or a small little village. Take Jenjarom for instance, they’re in a different world of their own, some of the stalls and kopitiams don’t even have signboards. Maybe because they mainly cater to the locals and uninterested to promote themselves beyond their small township. Just a little caution, I don’t have some of the featured outlets’ addresses documented, that’s cos they’re not even listed on Google map. In case you’re really interested to patronize them, please follow closely to my commentary and you’ll locate them since Jenjarom is not big. Meanwhile please go out and support the local street food, be it in Jenjarom or otherwise. Hope you find this video entertaining, thanks and catch you in the next.

Great coverage on all the basic food and delicacies at Jenjarom. Yatt Lau 👍🏽. Thank you for sparking the dessert ‘ Marn Tau Long’ ( Jelly type of dessert ) as it reminds me also of ‘ Pang Tai Woon’ a herbal ( think it’s Raja ulam leaves juice) drink when I was young - good for cooling the body. Again - thank you Elmo for a great episode. It always makes me hungry after watching !!! Yatt Lau 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Another great video .. the food shown might be simple but i am sure the taste creates its own identity . Thanks for the video ! The t-shirt idea is a good idea .. do let yr fans know when this idea can be materialize, looking forward to it ! Yes the 'man tau long' back when i used to eat in Ipoh is ice , syrup and the jelly .. nowadays they add the sour plum , when i tell them to remove it they gave me a funny look . In Ipoh whenever they sell man tau long there will always be ' pang tai woon ' as well. Thanks !

I for one, will support you if you launch merch since you're a creative artist before, your merch is something to look forward to!
Also i noticed something interesting, you translate "dai kao min" as "ban chian kuey" in english. It's interesting because when i was a colleage student back then and met a lot of people from different states, they all have a different name for apam balik depending on where they're from.
And lastly, another great episode. Thanks for trying out the foods for us although jenjarom is not known as a foodie place.

Apam balik is actually a kind of simple form of pancake originated in China during Qing dynasty invented by General Zuo Zongtang(左宗棠)for his soldiers without burdening too much the local folks (another source says that it was invented by General Qi Jiguang(戚继光)of Ming dynasty who countered the attacks of "dwarf pirates (倭寇)from Japan ( in reality, a lot of them are Chinese from fujian and Zhejiang provinces) with great success. Personally I prefer the " thicker" type, despite the crispy type is seems to be more popular.

@@malaysiafood328 I just found out Malaysia banned chicken sales to Singapore OVERNIGHT. We used to supply 2 million chickens a month to them. I just feel terrible for those who depend on our chickens for their livelihood.
This kind of dumb things our gov do is gonna have a long term effect. Singapore will now surely plan to have a more stable supplier. I mean couldn't our lame duck gov given them some advance notice...just lame as always...sacrificing the country for their own political bravado/ambitions.

    Hello uncle Lee。
