The best part is the dox post cited her attempt at mass reporting as the reason for the dox. She literally did more to encourage them, than Tbys did by responding and advocating against harassment

Listen, it's a truly terrible thing that Illymation got Doxed, and I do mean that sincerely. But that is in no way Sean's fault. He never asked anyone to bully her, and he never criticized her as a person, all he did was point out a particularly bad take and explain how it could be harmful.
The difference here is that Illymation specifically asked for her fans to false flag his video. She knowingly weaponized her followers, and what's worse is that this all started because she took a friend's word at face value, without ever viewing the video for herself. Most, if not all, of this could've been avoided if she'd just laughed off the video and shown just a single shread of humility.
He literally cut context in illy’s video to make her look bad. The doxxers mention TBYS video? In what way does he not have a hand in that? He doesn’t bear full responsibility, but its not like he didn’t have a hand in her doxxing.

The thing that bothered me about him basically disregarding the fact that she did ask people to flag his video to get it taken down, is the fact that he says "Well, she posted it on her Tumblr, and her Tumblr only has 2,000 followers. So it's not that bad because it's only a small percent of her subscribers." Like, who cares about that, because she still asked for people to flag the video. She flagged it herself, and potentially a couple hundred (could be more, could be less) people also flagged it. That would be enough to get TH-cam's attention and they would consider taking it down. And it worked!

Whether your calorie is coming from a artificial sugar, natural sugar, complex carb, or simple carb: they're all processed incredibly differently, and a calorie from an artificial sugar is objectively worse than a calorie from almost anything else. I.E. you can't eat 2,000 calories worth of birthday cake and then take a multivitamin everyday and still expect to be or feel healthy.

I'm gonna disagree hard with Noah on the idea that she shouldn't have to watch the video. If you are calling people to report it for a community guidelines violation, then it's not only expected you watched the video yourself, its your moral imperative to make sure it is actually in violation before reporting it. It's not even just immoral, it's irresponsible of her as an adult with thousands of people watching that post to tell people "hey this video I didn't watch broke TOS, go report it"

No I don’t agree with Noah on that point about the style criticism. TBYS was pointing out fairly that you can criticize people’s choices and that’s not bullying, but illy was trying to say the way she looks is immutable and therefore can’t be mocked or changed and he was disagreeing with that by saying certain choices she makes make her less attractive than she could be and he just uses her as an example. Noah of course ignores the entire context of the video to say it’s bullying and carry the banner for his team

8:04 to me, this segment makes complete sense. In illy's video, she keeps complaining that she's so undesireble and ugly because she is fat, and since being fat is out of her control, she just tries to accept the fact that she's not attractive. TBYS tried (and succeded in my opinion, because she is pretty, actually) to proove to her that is not about her fatness, effectively questioning the need for the video in the first place.

The argument Noah made about how “Illymation didn’t try to get TBYS banned, she just took the first steps towards it” is pretty much the equivalent of saying that if you stab someone in the throat but an ambulance gets there on time and the person survives than its not attempted murder.
There are a couple of reasons why TBYS talks so much about Illy's appearance.
The first is that he believes a large part of Illy's support for being fat/not being skinny comes from her unhappiness with her own appearance. Because of that, he talks, at length, about how she can improve her appearance so that she can be more comfortable with the way she is, minus the unhealthy weight. She often picks a lot of really shitty clothing that isn't flattering on her, and her seeming insecurities regarding her appearance could be largely alleviated with a better sense of fashion and self-care. She doesn't need to promote unhealthy eating or comfort with being overweight/obese in order to feel better about herself if she made some changes to the way she presents herself.
The second, which he explains in a community post, is that a lot of the criticism he levels at other creators is really a vehicle to give that criticism to his audience. People don't respond well to being directly criticized, so he uses other people as a sort of surrogate for his viewers. It allows them to see the negative aspect being criticized in a more neutral light, where they're more likely to take that criticism to heart. It's an easier way to get critical messages to people so they can change for the better.
Regardless of how effective or true either of those sentiments are, that's what he believes and his reasoning for including that segment in the video. It might be a bit weird, but I think it's more reasonable or, at least, understandable with that context.

This Samsen guy is stretching in order to white-knight. One the one hand, Sleep is guilty for every evil comment, for the doxxing, and for Illy (allegedly) having to move (what?) to save her own life. We've been on second-strike status several times in just 3 years. We gave up on YT. So flagging is a lot more than just flagging.

I’m a recovering food addict and “food is just food” is recovery language. The idea is taking away the idea of “bad foods” that make us do things like binge in secret. Guilt and shame fuels a lot of that. But obviously when obese or diabetic it doesn’t mean I could just eat a whole ass cake. The idea is to just change your perception of food. It’s hard to explain, but seeing food as FOOD helps me make better choices and eat less (cuz I’m not eating for emotions).
I think ily's video would've actually been decent if she fleshed this out, but instead it sounds like she's advocating for obesity.
Although I still think we should consider how she reacted to the criticism in the first place, with that kind of immaturity, I'm willing to bet she wasn't even trying to relay the message you've noted.

Tbys' voice is so much less insufferable when he isn't reading off of a script.
