    Great Video!! I think this is a very good video for those looking for good budget paddle. I passed it on to some people interested in pickleball.

    Thank you for this video....pickleball is picking up steam in Malaysia, but all the budget recommendations are 100+, which is super expensive here. Happy to see some even cheaper recoemmendations!

      Wow, glad to see the sport has made it to that side of the world! Maybe we can get enough global support to get it into the 2032 olympics, haha.

    Vatic pro prism flash vs V7, Which do u recommend?

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      If you and your opponents are standing at the kitchen line for the majority of the shots during your games, flash is slightly better (more competitive play).
      If you or your opponents are standing mid court or near the backline for the majority of shots during your games, V7 is slightly better (more social/casual play). Most people I play with are at this level, which is why I use the V7 more.

    Can you review the Juciao paddle? It kinda in the same category of these paddles

    • @RitzyBellhop

      Based on the product details, it seems identical to the HISK paddle, so it is likely a good paddle just like the HISK, but it is still my prediction that the Roycelong would be more optimal on a per-dollar basis.

    Funny. I was thinkinh about buying the roycelong but was waiting for the price to drop. Didn't expect anybody to actually review it

    What a great video, thank you so much, moving on from my intro kit of 2 paddles, 4 balls & a carrying case that cost $19 (LOL) Yes it's true . Taking notes & hoping to find just the right paddle

    I would think that an important feature of a paddle would be how big the sweet spot is, but I don't know how that would be measured or determined from the construction.

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I had assumed sweet spot size is a direct result of construction methods/materials. But since I couldn't be sure, I had the paddles tested by skilled players as a catch-all measure of anything that could not be directly observed. That's how I concluded the Vatic Pro was better than the others even though the materials were the same.

    Thanks for the review. I will say, I've been playing since May and I just recently purchased a Hisk paddle (same one you reviewed) and I actually like it a lot 🤷🏽‍♂ It was sad to see you ragging on my precious 😭

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a good paddle. In fact, if it was the same price as the others, it would have gotten the recommendation. But no one who tested it could say it was 50% better than the Aihoye/Roycelong/FMEIDA. Better? Yes, many said so. But not 50% better. I'm just proud of you for getting one with all the optimal specs 👍.

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR VERY INTERESTING VIDEO.
    I LIVE IN ENGLAND WHERE AMAZON SELL PICKLE PIONEER PADDLES FOR £ 32 &
    ZOEA PADDLES FOR £ 35 .
    HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THEM & ARE THEY ANY GOOD?
    I DO NOT WANT TO WASTE MY MONEY ON A POORLY MADE PADDLE.
    AMAZON DO NOT SELL THE OTHER PADDLES YOU TALKED ABOUT.
    PLEASE REPLY AS I AM WILLING TO PAY FOR A GOOD PADDLE THAT WILL LAST.
    THE VATIS V PRO PRISM 7 SEEMS TO BE EXCELLENT.
    I HAVE SUBSCRIBED AS I AM JUST STARTING PICKLEBALL AFTER MANY YEARS OF PLAYING TENNIS.

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Happy to help!
      The ZOEA paddle is NOT a good choice - not USAP approved, shorter than standard, and the surface is not raw carbon fiber.
      The Pioneer paddles are thermoformed, so they will not last as long as other paddles.
      If I were in your situation, I would buy the Vatic Pro Prism.
      Hope that helps and thank you so much for the support!

    Thank you for the wonderful video with all the details. It looks like Roycelong will be shipped in 1 to 2 months. I ignored it mainly because of shipping delays. What do you think about Vatic pro prism flash ? Im a beginner. I've been told that prism flash will have more control, and prism v7 is for experienced players who need more power. Im debating between v7 and flash. What are your thoughts on both?

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      An excellent question! I may have to do a video addressing this in the future after I do more long-term testing. For now, here is all I know:
      1. Both are very good and as a beginner you might not even be able to tell much of a difference between the two
      2. Most skilled players I have spoken to prefer the flash
      3. I prefer the V7 when I am farther back on the court, but I prefer the flash when I'm at the kitchen line. Most newer players spend more time farther back.
      Hope that helps!

    How do we know if a paddle is raw or normal carbon fiber

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! Raw carbon fiber has nothing added to it, while "normal" carbon fiber is infused with resin. Generally, the motive for companies to use "normal" carbon fiber instead of raw carbon fiber is because they can better paint the surface with attractive designs. So usually, paddles that are all black on the face will be raw carbon fiber, and carbon fiber paddles that are painted colorfully (like Friday, some Selkirk) will not be raw.

    You hooked me on the Roycelong but Amazon is sold out! 😭 I also think their listing says USAPA approved even though that might not actually be the case.

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Noooo, my commission!😭. We can know for sure it is not USAP approved because USAP has a database of approved paddles and the Roycelong is not in it. As you know, the Vatic is my alternate recommendation. But I feel quite sad I was not able to provide one of my guests with an optimal deal.
      I'll tell you what, I still have the FMEIDA paddle. It might not be optimal for $40, but it certainly would be for the price of FREE. In my channel details, you can find my channel email. If you live in the continental USA and send me your address, I will ship it to you free of charge, if you like.

    • @knewmanatc
      @knewmanatc 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      How kind, thank you! I’m just looking for some carbon fiber grit at the moment. Currently playing with a fiberglass starter paddle. When I increase my skills a bit, I’ll be more picky about other details. I’ll email you for sure. 😁

    • @knewmanatc
      @knewmanatc 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @RitzyBellhop I received the FMEIDA in the mail, thanks again! I've only been able to play with it once so far, but I think it improves my control and decreases power, as expected by your review. I'll have to refine my swing to adjust, I may end up needing something a little more "poppy". I did not notice the boxier handle to bother me while playing. A decent introduction to carbon fiber, especially given the Ritzy deal! 😁

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you still feel you need more pop after playing with it more and getting used to it, you could try a 14mm paddle next (Vatic Pro offers their paddles in 14mm).

  • @PKB-AG
    @PKB-AG 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    "Use painted on grit, which works great at first, but does wear off over time" If I can add to this, a very short time. The onix Z5 also uses a Nomex core - 90 bucks and not recommended. I'm surprised you didn't go with the Vatic Prism Flash. The Hisk seems like a better paddle though than the 40 dollar models despite the accessories and packaging. Other quality brands in the sub 100 category include Neonic, the Hudef Apex is a good paddle, and there are many others.

    • @RitzyBellhop
      @RitzyBellhop  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate the input. Personally like the flash and the V7 about the same, both very good paddles. Some of the skilled players did say the Hisk performed better than the other cheap options, but not 50% better as the price would suggest.

    • @PKB-AG
      @PKB-AG 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RitzyBellhop I would agree with you. What I found in the field is that people buy the real cheap 30 dollar for 2 paddles and 2 ball starter set. They get this just to see if they like pickleball. But then if they want to buy an upgrade paddle - they might go to 50-60 dollars when really they should go 85 or more for Prism/Hudef/Neonic etc. But that 85 dollar price for carbon fiber is "cheap" compared to the average price of 180 dollars for premium paddles. Ouch !! I could never spend that much. cheers !!
