Great trick with a very subtle sleight. When I saw my first tutorial about the Elmsley Count, I was astonished and amazed by the thinking behind this sleight. I love packet tricks so the Elmsley Count gets my pick.
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
When I seriously started to practice my magic, I tried the card peek for the first time, opened the cards too far, and the entire center of the deck shot out like someone's soured lunch. It was not so much a peek as it was a pants drop. Love the trick, Jay. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Mr. Sankey. I wish I could attend one of your classes and learn everything from you! You are such a delight to watch and learn from. Your sleight of hand is truly the best I've ever seen. When I was eight years old I once received a gift called the magic chest. A card board box shaped as a brief case with the easiest tricks made for children. It even had a magic wand. Oh how I loved that box and began to fall in love with magic. I even hung out at local magic shop. Unfortunately I never pursued my dream of performing magic for others. I am now 51 years old but still love, love magic card tricks. I accidentally found your site and my love and passion for magic has surfaced. I do every card trick that you post a week and I've started performing them for my friends. They are so amazed they want me to perform for them all the time. I may be too old to make it as a career but I feel like a kid again shocking my friends and family and feeling like some of my dreams came true. At least I am a magician to my friends haha.
What makes you so wonderful is you truly have a passion, a real love for magic, which makes you not just a wonderful performer but a gifted teacher. If you are ever in the Florida area I'd love to see you perform. I recently found out there is a tiny magic shop and theater in my town of New Port Richey, Florida, You have inspired me to go check it out and hang out there just like I did when I was a kid.
Sorry for this long comment but I've been wanting to share this with you for awhile. I wish you only the best.
The message at the end of this video is why I watch your videos. Cuz you really do care about what you do!!
I’m pretty new to the whole art of magic but I would love to perfect the Herman Pass, thank Jay for all the amazing tutorials and gifts, truly and inspiration
I would use the Sleight-of-Hand taught by YOU on the channel in which you while showing that your sleeves are up, there is nothing there, bring the selected card on TOP! JUST LOVE IT!
Hi jay,
I think the sleight which currently consumes most of my time is riffle stacking with top shot as a side business. But i just want to get fluent with my cards be it any sleight as each has its own importance and uniqueness!!! You are my life's inspiration jay!!! My gratitude for you is never ending. I cant just wait to see more of you. I think tuesdays are better than sundays. SERIOUSLY!!!!!! I just want to learn and learn and learn and learn... But Still, THANK YOU!!!!!
The laser deal!!! Lennart is an inspiration and that move never fails to boggle my mind
I was genuinely just thinking about how to achieve this effect last night, incredible to see it here the next day!
Hey Jay, I just wanted to say thank you for for putting out such GREAT content. I am just recently getting back into magic, and your magic always brings me back to when I first started.
I got depressed a few years ago and it made me forget everything and I wasn't able to concentrate much on magic or any other of my hobbies. I spent most my time on my strength training and fitness to help fix my life.
So ive been using your videos to "refresh my memory" lol. Keep up the great great content you super genius!
My total pleasure!
Thank you for the trick Jay! I'm looking forward to learn it, and I hope that you will be teaching us more awesome tricks in the future.
I do like your videos. I have always been curious about how magic is done and now I have a better understanding
Superb card trick, from the top tier of magic, by the master of magic Jay.
Always trying to improve my classic pass. Been working on it seems like, forever. Keep up the great work Jay. Keep inspiring!
You are an excellent teacher, Jay. This is a difficult sleight and, as such, the difficulty to learn can grow if you develop bad habits when beginning to learn.
I love your detailed thinking on this, too.
I really like the blue tablecloth. A great upgrade from your other videos on this channel.
Chuckling. Warmly. :)
The Pass. Such a useful sleight that always gets such amazing reactions.
Another amazing tutorial and presentation idea. Jay is legendary; And to answer your question, the sleight I want to instantly be able to perform is the sleight you just taught us "the center-reverse" simply because you can get amazing reactions and you can perform it in front of a crowd since it's not really an angly trick
I would love to always be able to perfectly do the pass. Such a powerful move. Great video Jay!
The slight you just performed. This was such a cool trick. Then again, every trick you perform is like seeing Disney for the first time!👍
Wow nice trick jay ,i am searching for such a trick without invisible deck and i find today .Good job jay keep doing what you doing and i want to win this contest
so glad to be back into slight of hand. so glad I found your channel. you explain things in an awesome to understand way.
Oh! That was gorgeous.. time to learn another wonderful sleight!
That's quite a good slight. Never would have thought it could be done so smoothly.
instantly learn any sleight? a really good second deal. thanks for more great magic Jay.
Jay, thanks, I have learned so much from your outstanding videos.
There are so many slights I would love to master but the clipshift is so pretty and would definitely be at the top of the list.
keep up the good work and thanks again.
The classic pass kicks my butt! Please send some instant 'classic' vibes my way.
Woooow sankey !!!! You are the man ! Love this trick ! It completely blew up my mind... U are amazing!
My instant learn of a sleight would have to be one hand top palm. There's so much so be done with a card that way. Loved this video, been practicing in the mirror all day now on this one move. Thanks Mr. Jay!
Hi Jay,
Again thx for putting all te efforts in sharing the magic with us.
One sleight i would definitely like to master is the 'Double Lift'. Visually it looks so simple and fluid, but in the same time so hard to make this perfect. It is such a versatile trick that you can use it as the main sleight or add in any other trick to spice things up.
Keep up the good work!
Nice trick!!! I was searching for a long time to find a way to do such trick without an invisible deck. This is so clean and has great reactions! Good job jay...love your tutorials always something new.I am also reading your book: Beyond secrets, it is a masterpiece. I would love to learn the Herman Pass and perform it without flashing because it looks very clean but it is very hard to learn.
Just starting to learn card magic and I absolutely love your videos thank you for what you do!
If I could instantly learn any slight on a master level it would be the turn over pass
I've been subscribed and watching your videos for a long time now, and I just wanted to say, thanks for being so cool and sharing these tricks with us! You have such a great way of performing these tricks too! So Thanks for doing what you do, and keep up the great work!
Thank YOU so much !
Hey Jay, love the channel. A beginner can also use the method you have posted when the bottom card is faced down and wrist kill the deck when picked card is replaced. Then Turn card over behind the back. This will still be faster than manually looking for the card. With the right acting skill it can be powerful.
I've seen this before but I like how you explained it better..I see a lot more things I can do this for.."in my head"..so I'll try not to go crazy. thanks bro
If I could instantly learn any sleight, I think it would be the sleight for raise rise. I've heard it takes years to learn well and it's such a good looking trick. Great video Jay btw
Many thanks for your videos I do enjoy them. There are many sleights for me to learn as I'm just a beginner however I think I need to start off with some basics and get the courage to try the classic Force
I would instantly learn the roadrunners cull because the effect is just so astounding because switching every single card except a selection is so incredibly big. also the ability to levitate would be pretty dope I guess
This sleight is the one I would like to learn seemlessly as my 3rd and pick ky sometimes don't catch as much as they should, another great vid as always.
Hey Jay, thanks for all the great content! Palming....I definitely need to work on palming!
A perfect pass would be nice to learn
I would want to be able to do the Elmsley count perfectly because it's such a versatile move that would let me do a lot more with my tricks.
i've been watching your vids for a while now and wat i like about your magic is how you really get into the psychy of the audience member, this trick a prime example as u mentioned the invisible deck wud be easier but you wanted the audience to know how much effort goes into flipping a card over if you don't know the secret and that's wat makes this and all your tricks brilliant. your vids are awesome! Wud love to av a few beers nd pick ur brain, one wud learn so much! lol. :)
The Classic pass for Sure. Great work man!
I'd chose the second deal Jay,it's such a powerful tool to use! awesome video and good luck to everyone!
Love ya man. Keep doing what you're doing. 😎
Appreciate it!
amazing sleight-of-hand trick . thank you
Wowing. Sweet move. So quick.
Jay you are an amazing teacher! also my first, also my only! keep up the great tricks!
wow, I love this one so much!!!!!
Hi Mr jay sankey your my best an only magic teacher thank you sir #1 fan
I would love to learn how to do the second deal perfectly! love the videos jay! :)
I love all you videos, Being a senior trying to learn card tricks, I am trying to learn many of the moves but many seem common that people would know. I thought that this move for this trick would be the move to learn and try to be different in moves. with these old hands I may never be good but I love to see the new moves. I thing that slight of hand moves are much better than the set up deck tricks but I want to learn as much as possibleI will keep watching for moves that I can try to learn. thanks
excellent job, Jay! Great trick!!! I would like to learn & master this trick or any other sleight-of-hand trick that you do on your Channel. thanks & keep up the excellent work!
Kimlat's Roadrunner Cull is such an incredibly powerful sleight. The kind of thing that is easy to comprehend and incredibly difficult to master.
Great trick - but I'm finding it seriously hard to get relaxed trying to do it. You are so cool in performance. I might come back to it later. Thanks for your ongoing efforts. Love it all.
wow, that's a really expert level, sneaky sleight! I can't remember all the names of the sleights you've taught us, but it'd be great if I could master this one in no time. I spend so much time practicing in front of the mirror, I swear my family thinks I'm some conceited freak. 😆
Thanks, Jay! You always have the greatest tricks!
Long time fan of the Sankey brand, first time commenting...
Answer: A perfect double-lift. Probably the most important card slight of them all.
Great to have you as a long-time fan. Many thanks!
Hi! I don't understand anything (maybe because, I'm from Poland) , but I love your channel! Greetings from Poland! 😂😂
It would definitely be the double lift. I've seen so many performers make a big point of convincing the spectators that only one card is turned over. The strike double lift is my favorite. I t appears so natural and spontaneous. Luv ur teachings!!!!!
Good choice. SO much you can do with that sleight, right? :)
one handed top palm...you are great!!!😊😊
Beautiful trick
Awesome video again Jay! Thank you. I would like to learn a clean pull-through shuffle. Maybe I should try it without a rough and smooth deck? LOL
that slight it is amazing when you did it i flipped out I was like how
This might sound weird but I would like to have a perfect double lift. Their so many tricks with double lifts and to be able to not create sucpicion at all, to everyone; Magicians, Hecklers and more. So that's my sleight
Also Jay u are a legend :)
Well it would be pretty hard to learn such a double. I recommend you to study what it looks like when you turn over just one card and try to mimic that as much as possible. One way to fool magicians with a double lift is to just clip the double from the side and lift it up in a quick motion. That's a quite unusual way of performing a double lift so magicians may not instinctively notice it. To take it up a notch you can find some way to ditch the card to the top of the deck without openly placing the double on the deck.
That being said I suggest you learn some alternative move like the Venus Trap which can often be used to replace double lifts. It's a little angle sensitive though.
Being able to palm a card perfectly would be cool. That could lead to some great deceptions and also could help me to expand on a lot of tricks.
Great Video! I think for me that sleight would be the elmsley count. Even though I have tried doing it many times, I still haven't got good enough!
I have Just got into magic and I LOVE it. I've struggled with depression and are starting to feel alot better thanks to you!!! The Slight I would learn Is the Classic Pass... I try to praktice it but it goes ALL wrong😭😶😢 Keep up the good work!
- Trym
Trym Moltumyr my pass is dreadful. I'm useless. but I'm working on it.
Your tricks are awesome! Keep it up!
I would learn the second deal, bottom deal and all the deals in the world, because I love to perform ACAAN, and learning these sleights could make the performance immaculate for the eye's of the spectator! And great trick Jay!
Thx Siddesh!
Awesome video jay. If I were to be able to perfect a sleight it would probably be palming the card. There are so many tricks I rob myself from because I have a hard time palming cards
I would have the perfect Top Change. So many uses.
Hey jay nice video. The slight i would like to perform perfectly would be the classic pass
this looks amazing
Thanks for sharing another gem! Gonna have to put some serious time into this one:) In answer to your question, I'm not sure I'd want to learn a move instantly. I feel that would take an important part of the process away. That being said, if I could learn a truly invisible pass, that would be awesome!
I'm currently working on Daniel Madison's bottom deal technique (which he has based on Erdnase). I've got the basic technique down, but it's getting the timing of it down that is driving me mad! So, for me, the card sleight that I would love to learn perfectly instantly would be the bottom deal.
Great video, by the way! I love this effect.
Great trick, Jay! I would love to be able to do Lennart Green's Snap Deal. it looks so amazing when performed well.
you are the best Jay!
Cool trick. I do this with a criss cross cut after deck is shuffled. Still get great results.
I would love to get a very strong second deal. I've watched Vernon do it SO cleanly and I'd love to have that sleight down!
Fantastic! 😁👏👏
The Pass 100%. Been working on it for while, still got a lot to practice
I would want to learn either your classic pass or improve the Marlo tilt because those are important moves that can be used in the Ambitious card trick and that is one of the most astonishing magic tricks of all time.
Hey Man love the videos!!
I would pick the one handed double lift
The Herman Pass. I've been trying to master that one for about 8 months! I find it very difficult to do, especially with my little t-rex hands. LOL Awesome trick you did here--very stunning and powerful visually.
I would like to learn the one handed faro shuffle. By the way I love your channel it really got me into magic.
Amazing trick!
That one sleight would DEFINITELY BE THE LEGENDARY CENTER DEAL :)
The CLASSIC PASS !!! is one of the best moves in card magic.
You can use the Classic Pass as a control, false cut, vanish and colour change...... man I'd love to master this sleight such such possibilities
Imagine having a selection put back into the middle of the deck (then classic pass like a Jedi master the selection on top) with out shuffling or funny false cuts. Imagine palming the selection and making the spectator shuffle wow that's the summum 👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
I would love to be able to do this sleight, the centre reverse, like Jay Sankey.
Jay sankey I've been watching you for years
Awesome satu and biki Banna also love this card tricks it's amazing ...........
Thanks boss.
the Up the ladder false shuffle!! ive been trying for so long now!
Sandy magic if I were to learn a slight of hand instantly it would be the Diagonal palm shift, also this card trick is amazing please keep doing what your doing
love the rocky reference, you always have funny little references, you crack me up. Even if you didn't give stuff away, I look forward to these vids. BTW, that move is brilliant. I have always been bad at card tricks, mainly because I never put the time in, but if I could learn a sleight "instantly" I think I would go with the one you just did, probably because I already learned my favorite one. no offense :)
Oh man, I would love to perfectly control the double lift in a way that it never would fail, that would be nice!
Also, the bottom deal would be nice ;)
Luv your vids J!
good trick uncle jay plz make video on tricks that can be done in school
the sleight of hand would be, would be coin magic. I love the effect of making the coin disappear, love the great reactions. but I'm still learning, JAY your Awesome!!!!!
A nice sleight to perfect would be the perfect faro and perfect anti faro. There are so many different things you can do with these two moves.
I would pick the classic force. Knowing what card the spectator will pick before they know is the most powerful thing to do in magic. Plus being able to do it in the fairest way possible adds to that.
One of the true classics of card magic.
Thekingshyguy not sure which force you use but the criss cross force works.
I would want to have a perfect pass. I feel like so much is based around that skill and perfection in an instant would be tops.
