After nearly 50 years of being amazed by magicians, I'm just starting to learn about it. Thanks for making videos like this. Having the skills to be able to pull stuff like this off all feels a long way away. But everyone had to start somewhere. It's great finding out the techniques and rather than spoiling the magic, it just makes me more awestruck at how much skill is involved. Keep it up man!

Great trick.Great first I thought he's going to do the rising card trick.Im sure you know how that works.About 15 years ago they came out with these hard to see elastic bands. When they picked their card.you lay it out out and put the deck back in the pack along with the band all the way around the pack .You slide their card in slowly as the invisible elastic wants to push it back out.You know the rest of the story. My ? Is have you ever seen them and if so w j ere can you buy them.

Jay, Your ideas never cease to amaze or inspire me. You've just given me a greater reason for the ambitious card: The card being "drawn" to the spectator's touch rather than just rising to the top. And for the finale, the card jumps out of the box to be with them. I may just call it the amorous card. Many thanks for all you contribute to magic community.

    Hey Jay
I saw this trick a while ago and I came back to it to refine my performance, and I thought that instead of palming a card, you can leave the card under the card case, and shake the deck slowly, and drop the card while shaking the case. This is a simple alternative to palming, and I think it might help people who struggle with palming. It would be great if I could get your thoughts on this idea! Thanks for the awesome ideas man!

Jay, I have been learning from you for over 30 years. One of my first 10 magic books was Sankey Panky when I was around 15 or 16. After reading 9 (or so) other good books on magic (there was no youtube then, we had to read and break it down back then...remember)? I came across your book. It changed my entire understanding of what could actually be done in close up. This trick is a perfect example of how clever your thinking and teaching is. you are so good because you break down and "understand" every subtlety of your magic and such a great teacher because of your ability to get me to change my thinking. You are truly a master....

I loved your comment about overcoming physical problems like small hands or skinny fingers. I have been trying to learn coin magic, and I still can't imagine palming a card as effortlessly as you do. Right now I am trying to improve my coin magic. I love it because people always have coins. They are so familiar and the metal is so solid they take people by surprise. I would love to have a copy of Crash Course in Coin Magic. I have a long way to go, and I think I could learn a lot. I would also like to pass the book on to my oldest grandson.

I love that you're telling people to create their own versions. When I buy a gimmick, I never watch the trailer. I don't want to know what that creator had in mind for it. I take the gimmick and put my influence on it. Thanks for what you do man, I really appreciate what you do.

Awesome video. Palming took me time to learn, and took more time to get over that nervousness of thinking people will see the move. Huge tip that Jay has covered many times, making it look natural and hiding it wit your movements of the performance or misdirection. I’ve been caught at it once so far and it was because I couldn’t distract the person from intently burning my hands. I should have used a larger movement or a bigger distraction... it was an impromptu card to wallet that I hadn’t done recently. I learned a lot in just a few minutes on that mistake.
