I’ve just started watching your van build series as I’m about to purchase my first van to build myself. I have no gear and no idea, so I’m really appreciating your informative video style. It’s so good to hear why you’re doing what you’re doing and how. It’s totally given me the confidence that I can do this!! I’ll certainly be rewatching your videos as I go step by step through my build! Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Love the detail & explanation of your thought process behind each step. Most of the conversion vids I've watched say -"I'm gonna cut a hole"...then magically fans are installed:) Thanks for the great videos.
you probably dont care at all but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me!
@@omarikhari3942 I have no idea how to do that in Instagram, but there may be a reset or forgot password link when you try to log in...most websites have that feature. Best of luck to you.
@Zahir Allen i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
My two favourite you tube channels both converting vans in to campers,it will be fun watching to see how they both turn out and the comparison in techniques.
Hi, Great work my wife and I totally agree, you build not just to code but, as T says code plus, extra sturdy extra safe, we will be watching the next episode, thanks for sharing.Blessings! !!!!!!?
Hi Just a little tip you should always unwind an extension lead all the way to avoid it melting if you draw to much current through it, loving this conversion.
Gary Griffin With the amount of experience he has shown with the different projects put up on the channel i'm sure he knows this. Bandsaw motors are typically in the 300-500w range so nowhere near thirsty enough to cause any problems with an unwound extension. The limit is usually 700-800w. Im sure he has taken this into account when using the bandsaw hence not unwinding. If it was a 2500w 9" angle grinder my guess is he would have unwound it.
Great work as always, good move with the sika flex pu adhesive, brilliant stuff. Used commonly on boats too, think they use it to bond vehicular windscreens etc in also.
The conversion is looking great so far. Have you done a video on removing the bulkhead? How difficult was it? Will you have to add any bracing in? In my head it would've been structural in some way, probably not though, I'm sure you know what you're doing.
No, I just took a before and after photo. It's just a load of torx bolts to undo and two rivets to grind off. 10 minute job. Bulkhead is not structural at all so very easy to do and quick transformation.
Really enjoying your informative videos, I'm on the lookout for a suitable van for similar - we're a family of five, so interested to see how you develop yours. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Doug :-)
There not a risk of you vent pinning screws hitting the frame screws? I ended up gluing mine incase with Miter jints, but this morning I hjust got worried about the screws breaking the bond....am I sounding amateur?
Great videos, I’m at the same stage as you right now but I’m confused, I used 12mm roof battens so I made it 42mm Frame not 37mm am I wrong? I have the same van as you
What is the material you are cutting the strips from for filling in the valleys between the ridges of the roof? I’ve seen people use layers of stuff called mastic, but something solid seems like a better idea.
Thanks for your incredibly quick reply. It’s the middle of the night over here in Australia and I should be asleep but I’m still watching TH-cam videos. Can’t wait to get onto my van bill this week. I have the floor half done and when it’s finished the next job is insulating the walls. Your videos are a great inspiration.
looks like someone doesn't understand reflectix very well. it works better with an air-gap. you glued it straight to the metal. it will still do something inside of the bubble wrap but you essentially more then halving it's effectiveness.
+Necro Kittie not sure you watched the videos?? I have done a whole section in why reflectix is no good at all. What you are observing is a butyl sound deadening mat applies to the bodywork. 👍

@Zahir Allen It worked and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
Can't wait for you to finish this project. Please document every single thing you do. Thank you!

which one is the other?
the suspense is killing me! What's the other one?

All the wound extension leads I've seen are marked with two maximum loads: one for when it's wound and one for when it's unwound.

Love your vids, so thorough and informative; think you will give lots of people the impetus to try themselves 😊

Thanks for these informative videos. What jigsaw blade are you using and what wattage is your jigsaw?
👍👍👍

It’s just UPVC trim, like you would use with windows.

Could I ask how wide is the van inside? Thanks
Gary Griffin will be just over 6ft once panelled out so pretty much normal bed.
RE: Filling in the valleys, some use a putty tape. Any thoughts on that?
What is the name of the song which starts at 9:20? Thanks.
That is a bit of a grey sky in the background! 9:28

that is sound deadening, looks like someone can't tell the difference! :)
