Been listening to DC for over 15 years and I can't believe I've never made the connection that the ending drum beat on Don Caballero 2 is the drum beat that starts Don Caballero 3
Hell yeah. Love the shoutout to Terry Bozzio. He's one that really inspired me at a young age with drumming. That's nice to hear the push with time signatures. To where odd time is no longer odd time - it becomes natural time.
id have to agree the old head is better. its got more 'tonk' to it somehow. i dig old heads myself too, especially on rototoms. great vid, love hearing about don cab 2!
If Damon, Ian, and Eric ever toured again I would stop at no length to see them. I would fly to Europe for that shit.
Would love to hear Damon and Ian write together again. The music they made together is completely gorgeous.
agreed!!
Agreed!
Agreed!!!
Seriously
Agreed!!

bro how lol
for someone who wasn’t very warm to odd times, he played them great.
Right? Like no way someone without much experience with odd time signatures played something like the end of No One Gives a HOOT.
That comb everywhere is insane.
This stuff is priceless. Keep em comin.
Have always loved how they self reference parts/rhythms throughout their albums
Yes, I think Belted Sweater and later on- Chief Sitting Duck are very similar drum motifs at the opening of each track.
I'm glad Ian pushed you to do those odd time signatures cause they are my absolute favorite! Love these videos.
Awesome. Longer videos please!

Awesome. II is still my favorite. Such a masterpiece.
One of my favorite albums of all time. Love these interviews!!
Dc2 is arguably one of the most influential music albums of all time. I can't imagine modern math rock without having borrowed something from it.
I’m really enjoying these interviews. I think it’d be fantastic to do an interview in podcast format! I really like hearing about each process.
This album is my absolute favorite
YESSS
I think they're building up to a new album release... 0.0
We need a Don Cab fan made documentary
we’re gonna have to get into this business here
Snare sounds amazing on Don cab 2 but never noticed the difference with last track
neither did I! The snare on the last track sounds much brighter than the rest
“We’re in a bathtub with an electric eel here” !!!!! Yes hahahahahahahahha
Thanks!! Really appreciate these videos!!
“I was never super stoked to play in time signatures, but I was willing to. Thankfully it all worked out amazingly.“ -Damon Che

DON CAB IS A TORNADO!!!!
Hell yeah
Masterpiece.
i like the old head sound on the last track
was this record influenced by the band breadwinner by any chance?
exactly
It’s true, they were. And they have mentioned it in the past. Breadwinner and Slint.
I feel you're really not helping the cause here by splitting these up. Give me a big interview instead of this piecemeal stuff any day.
