Yeah, he is certainly the least likely of the two to get... I wonder if its worth doing if I can only get Kevin?

If you really really want the book signed by the two creators, then wait for them to arrive on these shores and crack it open for them to sign. I take it you will be saving these books for the children when you're not around, so if the book loses a few bob, I do not think they will blame you. But be positive once you've got it signed and then clean and pressed it might get a jump to 9.6. Also enjoyed you going through the issues you have even though I am not that much up on the characters, except for reading a couple of crossovers. Are you endeavouring to fill the gaps or are they unimportant to the run? Fun vid Luke as usual!

I am very much wanting to fill the gaps in the run. I love this series (and most TMNT stuff in general)
I think I have most of the keys from this first volume, so hopefully the others won't be too hard to acquire 🤞
And yes. You are absolutely right.

Bud go with your gut instinct, you got the book for those two to hopefully sign. You never know, CGC might offer a in-house signing for both and you can send the slab in and they can crack/press etc. That way it will most likely to not drop in grade. Graders note with the finger prints will get removed with the clean. Plus that hair will go away 😂. I’ve got many slabs with a single hair in it!
When you said it’s only a second print, I’m glad you showed how many prints it has. I think it’s an incredible book to own.

So the only reason I am against it going to cgc for an in house signing is because I feel I can get something nicer done to it, if I meet Kevin in person.
Afterall, I've had alot of interaction here on the channel with Kevin and I think I could get something nice.
That being said. Peter is highly unlikely to travel, so would I still crack it only for Kevin? 🤔

I'd say keep it as is. Get one of the other non-slabbed books signed, especially if you're not guaranteed Kevin and Peter both doing a convention circuit in the UK.

@HydraCollectables ... having said that, the more I think about it, if I was going to get it signed, I'd prefer my #1 to be raw and to stay raw.. I've no slabs in my Mirage run!

I can only really echo the already sage advice given..... It seems to me the signatures are the important thing for you. So to hell with any grade drop, fulfil your goal!

I would crack it open, get it signed and leave it like this to enjoy whenever I like! I did this with my X-MEN 94. And Kevin Eastman is coming here in Greece, at TheComicCon in Thessaloniki, 17-19 May!

In this particular scenario, what holds greater significance for you: possessing a Blue 9.4 or potentially a 9.0/9.2 Yellow Signature Series book? For me, the answer is unequivocal. In the case of a book of such personal importance, having the creators' signatures imbued on it's cover holds immeasurable value. Even if this results in a downgrade in grade, the choice is clear-it's the authenticity and sentimentality of the signatures that I prioritize above all else. And for the love of god please don't just have them sign the outer slab.

Crack it. Cuz you will get a price bump with 2 sigs and when they die a bump there as sad as it sounds

I'm not a TMNT fan (I'm a bit older and wasn't the right age for the cartoon) but I do enjoy the fact that it was basically a parody of the Frank Miller Daredevil. Also I like the story about Kevin Eastman in the Amazon 😂

Yeah, I too love the whole parody aspect to their creation. Doubt it would ever happen these days. Instead people likely being prosecuted for copyright.
