Great video. My 8P is stage 3 tuned by MRC (Loba turbo) with added mods and is just over 500hp - and thankfully not suffering with any of the common issues (YET.....) you went through. :)
🇨🇵Thank you very much for the information. I've been looking for it because I'm planning to buy one in 2025 and I want as much information as possible about this car.
With the fuel cap, try turning the ignition and unlocking the car from the door buttons. happened to me and I ripped off the cap before figuring out all the doors were unlocked except for the fuel cap 😅😅
Good advice.. I’ve got a Suzuka grey RS3 and don’t use it much so as yet have no real issues but I’m aware these things can arise …. It has a Apr stage 1 with a few other upgrades which is quick enough when needed .. those on here with 700 hp must be a handful 😮
@@itsimty yes it looks great from certain angles … I’ve got a RS4 .. 2015 which I like also .. I think the RS3 is quicker .. I’m hoping they gain value .. 👍😬
Exactly right mate, I've got similar problems that you said on my Audi A3 2 L TDI. Obviously completely different problems. Engine wise but from the chassis point electronics suspension, you're bang on with that mate I've had all them problems 😂
Also, one thing to note from my experience with the fuel cap problem that across the whole board with VAG up until 2012 the only problem I've never had with my car i've took them apart before and for some reason they corrode check mine and its perfectly good not sure why that happens water must get in somewhere but there's common fault doesn't always happen to every car 🤷🏻♂️
Basically maintain by service parts personally oil twice a year if modded I’m running revo stage 3 & had no issues with this car after near on 8 years ownership love it
Great vid, a good guide for anyone wanting to buy one. Just a quick question from a complete noob. Can you just remove the CAT and put a straight down pipe? will it still go through an MOT ok?
hello. I have an RS3 8p that has been parked for about two months. Last week I turned it on a bit because of the battery and noticed that the car was a little slow when revving. I turned off the car and noticed that oil and water had come out of the exhaust onto the floor and wall. What could be the problem given your experience with these cars? thanks
Imti is such a sound guy. I met him in Derby earlier today while I was with my friends, truly down to Earth! I look forward to seeing more from this channel in future
Hey bro could you please help me out? I really cant decide between a golf r/ golf gti , audi s3/ rs3 or bmw 140i/ 135i . Im saving up for 1 of them but I dont know which 1 is the most reliable and bang for your buck.
Hi mate. I just bought a Audi Rs3 Saloon 2019 done 17;000 miles. When doing a 3 point turn the back wheels feel like their crabbing when driving off then feel a banging then goes
It’s difficult to diagnose on the issue without seeing the vehicle. From the sound of it this sounds like a drivetrain issue, possible Diff, transfer box or Shaft issue. But please do not take that as gospel we can only be 100% if we diagnose your vehicle.
Is it a bad idea to get one that has 250.000 km on it or could it be fine. It is maintained 100% from 2011 until now and only had 3 owners so far so that made me doubt if it might still be fine
no issues with timing chains on them? i had one with 51k and it needed the chains done...after stripping the flywheel was also fkd 😂, then the haldex pump failed
You had some valid points but when you started saying: keep the intake stock. You’ve lost the plot big times. IF the car struggles on sudden kick downs it’s your sh*tty sw because why ? There’s no airmass sensor infront of the turbo. If it would have been infront of it, then you’re right but on the 2.5 no sir do some more research
I’ve a 2016 RSQ3 and have driven it for years without issue, service it myself and expect it to continue faultless for more years to come.. interesting folks have issues
@@Ayrton4everrr the clockspring is an issue on any car that has one, its a consumable item, I've had to change it on japanese cars as well, the other issues are not a huge deal really

Always a pleasure watching Imti in action 👊🏽👊🏽
Thank you for watching Ali
In Audi terms it seems pretty bullet proof then 😁
Thanks man, i just did maintenance on mine. And made a appointment to get the haldex checked and oil changed

can you run a 200cell cat for a stage 2?

Thank you for watching, unfortunately with the cat removed and a straight pipe fitted the car will fail emissions on a Mot test.

Btw Im planning on buying and keeping them stock most likely and the model is like 2015 / 2018 ish
Hi the models you have mentioned are all great, we love the BMW 140i, test drive one I’m sure you will love it 😍
@@itsimty thank you very much im definetly going to think about it 💪❤️
Thanks for this vid
It depends what you like more. FrontWheelDrive, Quattro or the RWD ? So many People like the 135/140 because of the RWD .
S3 8p rear springs also snap on the rear. (Sportback) not sure about 3drs

Are these issues on all RS3's or just 8P specific?
The issues we have commented on are for this model, and this is just our opinion as a Audi specialist, these are some of the faults we have seen.

really weird, we in germany dont have these problems, just like with other cars. Seems like these common issues are only in the usa etc.
Get the ones with the alloy engine. Vastly better.
Is that the daza engine?
You clearly don't know much about the rs3. This is a scare munger video. 😂
Phew thanks for the information. Definiteley not buying one of these. Sticking with my 1.8T.
why do so many audi products consume oil its 2023 they really cant figure it out yet??
Any advise how to bleed water system , mine won’t flow , water bubbling in header
Just dont buy the car then...😅😅😅😅

Very sad to hear about a German car. They won Le Mans multiple times, but cannot make a reliable car like the Japanese do 😢
