  • Audi RS3 Review. 540BHP in a small saloon. It's a bonkers world we live in where to compete with last weeks supercars all you need is a small hatch with added psi.
    In this video I review it, talk about the good, bad and ugly of the car along with my friend Grant.

    One of your best videos to date mate, for a short video a lot of info and loving the new including the driver and owner of the car getting their perspective etc. I think when you are talking about the steering I thought personally that on my old TTRS there more feedback in dynamic mode, maybe down to the car being Smaller? Great video look forward to the next

      Thanks Swanning! It’s always good to get feedback on new styles of video like this so thanks! Dynamic definitely added a bit of weight to the steering but still a bit of a void in the feedback, not necessary a bad thing in this type of car for me!

    Daza engine RS3 really is a gem especially the lovely sound, but the current market is a bit naff right now. To get a proper decent spec with low/medium mileage you're looking at 40+k and then 4-6k if you want to take it to stage 2. Can only hope and pray that prices come crashing down in the next few months 😂

      This was my thoughts exactly 2 years ago haha. Still havent gone down much in value. I wasnt in a position to get one then. But now looking at them. I will onto my S4 little longer. But the RS3 is next!

      I just bought a daza rs3 with sports seats and sports exhaust but that’s about it for extras. 25k on the clock so low millage but 39k I still think the rs3 is over priced But I really wanted one. It was between a m140 or rs3 and I could of got a m140 top spec for 10k less. I’m starting to think that would of been the smarter decision.

    Out of curiosity, what garage did that tune? Or what central Scotland tuner would you recommend? I have a B8 S4 and was considering changing it unless I can get a decent performance increase without breaking the bank.

      Appreciate this post was a few months ago but if it helps DH Automotive in falkirk are an accredited MRC tuner now mate. I've got a B8 S4 with the MRC stage 2 package, with the TVS TCU tune total cost is around 2300. Also got an eventuri intake but that was pretty (probably unnecessarily) expensive and any decent intake would do the job. Arse dyno puts it around 500hp, got a printout from previous owner with it hitting 490hp/600nm but that was before I put the intake and TCU tune on it. It's unbelievably quick off the mark when you floor it in first, it's surprised quite a lot of others on the road (especially M cars lol). Easily hits low-mid 3 secs to 60 any day of the week. Been looking more at RS3's lately but still love the S4. Totally get what was said in the vid about comparing it to cars that are much more dynamic and have a track focused feel like the full fat M sport cars (had an E36 Evo/E46 M3 before the S4).

      @@sarcastixx74 Cheers for getting back to me. That's good to know it'll get up to around 500bhp. I spoke to a guy at DH Automotive a while back and they were helpful regarding a remap. 👍🏻

    • @sarcastixx74
      @sarcastixx74 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MJ.Haggis No probs mate, good thing about the MRC stage 2 package is that it's only a single pulley fit so upgrading the cooling isn't essential unless the car is gonna be tracked or on the drag strip a lot. One thing I would definitely recommend is making sure that the TCU gets a tune at the same time, it removes the limiter but more importantly increases the clamping forces of the clutch packs to avoid them slipping with the higher torque. I went with the TVS stage 2+ that Ecotune in Hillington fitted and it transformed the way the DSG performs. Good luck whatever you go for!

    RS3 is for wannabe racers so no need in crazy feeling, we need driving experience and comfort, as there are always other cars that provide that for all the petrol heads. Cars that make you feel every bump and movement are only nice for short tiem as you get tired of that pretty fast

    Still don’t get why people continue to use the whole “stage #” description as that doesn’t really transfer to different countries performance tuning scene.

      @@ScottishCarClan The 5 Pot does seem a more tempting offering than the 2.9 V6 in the Rs4 B9 generation. Sounds like a hairdryer. In the days of OPF and all other emissions and noise limitations, cars with that V8 N/A are a dying breed.
