As much as ppl love to shit on this gem i gotta say the amazon delivery experience was pretty dope. Unironically, this game had some of the most aesthetically pleasing and detailed maps and biomes in recent memory. This game was screenshot galore, the story was super intriguing and the characters were really well written. Gameplay was great although it took its time to get used to and to progress but when it picks up its a blast to experiment with different ways of transportation and the combat had multiple ways of dealing with enemies and bts alike. Easily the best experience you can play out there just by story and characters alone.

when i tried this game i felt the feeling i had as a kid finding out a new mechanic like wall jumping. this is a masterpiece. never felt so connected whilst alone.
I feel the same. The way Kojima set up all the characters really just makes you feel connected to them. Sam starts off closed off to everyone and everything, very similar to the player cause you just stepped into a new complicated world that you know nothing about. But as the game goes on, you begin to understand more, and so does Sam. Sam gets closer to people, and as he does you do too. The music helps with all of that too. It gives you a feeling of how Sam thinks and feels in his travels.
Wall of text incoming, since personally, I loved this game, haha. A lot of people who call it "nothing but a walking simulator" only played like, the first two hours (which is 0.00001% of the game) and usually never even unlocked vehicles, guns, time travel... And for people who go "the story makes no sense, it's just random and unexplained", the game actually OVER-explains every single little thing, which I do have kind of an issue with. It sometimes feels like they didn't want dead air, so they fill it with people constantly calling you during your traveling between destinations. The best parts of deliveries are when they leave you to your own devices to figure everything out, it's actually really peaceful... Part of the fun is building the highway and setting up your zipline network to speed across the whole country helping people, and yes, you do have pizza delivery missions! I actually avoided the Elder because he was annoying me, until I came back later and it turned out he had died (I think it triggers if you don't deliver like, a new pacemaker and his meds or something, can't remember). I mean, I liked that mean old guy. So I bit the bullet, reloaded, and did sporadic deliveries for him, keeping him alive to the ending, haha. He even tells you how he knows he's not easy to get along with and how thankful he is to you.
You had me dying with the Taylor Swift reference. 😂 I tried this game...then set it aside, only to take my time and actually try it. While some of the story details went over my head, I started to realize that it was actually pretty good. It's definitely not for those accustom to instantaneous action or gratuitous violence.
Combat in this isn't a constant thing so when it happens, it's kinda heart racing. I remember running away from a group of enemies and there was a steap hill in front of me that I had to run down. So I started running down the hill (didn't have any other options) but as I was running down I slipped up and tumbled all the way to the bottom lol then I had to frantically reclaim my cargo as spears are being thrown at me. Pretty cool 👍
Wait until you see the ending...... of the ending of the ending of the end. This game made me think I finished it 4 times, then Hideo Kojima just gently slaps you across your tired face with 2 more hours of content. Truly fun game altogether, though

Kojima needs an editor or a co-author that is willing to tell him "no, we're not doing that, it makes no sense" because he makes these really interesting worlds, but the little things that don't make sense add up very quickly
The problem with Kojima is that a lot of things he adds feel like they're there just to be extra and not because they're genuinely good ideas that help the narrative or game.
It actually makes perfect sense if you get to the end, but there's also like 7 parts to the ending and half of them can be missed cuz they're passed the initial credits.
He really does, and I have like 400 hours and a platinum trophy with this game and even more hours with the Phantom Pain. I often view him as the George Lucas of video games: brilliant, but long-winded, and really needs people to say no to him.

That part gave me a good laugh lol
The haunted story of an unnamed food app delivery driver.
"Why do they make you go this way" They don't, it's just you
Kojima was probably on something when he created Death Stranding I swear even after seeing the trailers I'm still confused.
one of the best games of the past decade, you are trippin sir
@@robbertvanhovendingelstad6205 they never said it was bad tho
Its because you don't have context for the weird shit in the trailers, the game gives you context for pretty much everything though so by the end you have very few questions remaining if any
@@willemdafriend519 he is suggesting Koijima was trippin balls while making the game when in reality OP did not even took the time and the effort to play it and see what it's about.
@@robbertvanhovendingelstad6205 they clearly meant the game is extremely bizzare and unique, not calling it a bad game
You know a stories good when you have absolutely no idea what it means.
This is great that he’s playing it , I was really hesitant about buying this game because I really had no idea what it was about but I’m loving it seeing like this!
when i tried this game i felt the feeling i had as a kid finding out a new mechanic like wall jumping. this is a masterpiece. never felt so connected whilst alone.
That's the most pretentious thing I've ever seen.
@@dancingdroid let people enjoy things
I feel the same. The way Kojima set up all the characters really just makes you feel connected to them. Sam starts off closed off to everyone and everything, very similar to the player cause you just stepped into a new complicated world that you know nothing about. But as the game goes on, you begin to understand more, and so does Sam. Sam gets closer to people, and as he does you do too. The music helps with all of that too. It gives you a feeling of how Sam thinks and feels in his travels.
@@dancingdroid how..?

I started the first ending at 10:30, I actually finished the game at midnight, literally 12:01 lol
10:30 like in the morning? That an entire day just playing that game. I couldn't do it every time Hideo did the faint ending I just gave up, just to continue the next day
@@Sadnan2.0 no at night lol it was like almost 2 hours of content after the first credits hit
@@mrmadmax420 that not what meant. I thought that Higgs was the final boss just to find out it was Clifford all along. So when I defeated him I thought that there would be just some cut scenes and thats it. Until it was Amilie's plan all that time, so I defeated the whale she threw at me and thought that that was it.
Of course it wasn't, after what felt like an infinite amount of dialogue and walking until you pass out, I thought the game was done. But it wasn't
It felt like Dutch's plan
The rainbow is Gods promise line got my subscription. However you feel about it. The line was a good one
Your commentary made this the best death stranding game play 😂
the blood grenades and upgraded versions make this game a cake walk.
Death stranding is just a shroom trip with extra steps.
I hope that was an intentional pun
I need to play this again. I no lifed it years ago from Red Box and never played it again. I wish Phantom Pain had the level of terrain movement that this game did.
They still HAVE those?
@Silver Moon not anymore. Pretty sure Death Stranding was the last game I got from it.
@@MysticBGaming No, they do. I pass one every now and then at my local Safeway. As long as people without internet in their homes still exist (and believe me, they do, I grew up lower-middle class and got to see them overtake Blockbuster alongside Netflix) physical rentals won't completely go the way of the dodo.

I was really skeptical whether I'd like this game or not. After playing for almost 100hrs I can actually say that I love the game. It's unique and the systems implemented for game play are not like anything I've ever played.
Love the commentary!! 😂 don't stop doing these type of videos. Any game. Just keep doing these!
@@OG-ColorfulAbyss. no. it doesn't.
Well then I feel sorry for you
He really does, and I have like 400 hours and a platinum trophy with this game and even more hours with the Phantom Pain. I often view him as the George Lucas of video games: brilliant, but long-winded, and really needs people to say no to him.
So I worked for Amazon when this came out, me and my coworkers joked about delivering packages all day just to go home and deliver packages in a virtual world.
6:33 I've never laughed so hard in my entire life that was so damn funny OMG🤣🤣🤣
*Seeing the first 3 minutes of this video
Me : " how? why? why are you like this?"
Haven’t played this for years, never completed it, never clicked a video so fast!
I actually recommend you to give it a go, I'll say it took me 3 attempts to actually get invested, as of now is one of my favourite, it gets really, really good.
Over 95% of my deliveries that I delivered personally are S ranked, getting a B or less is embarrassing.

masterpiece in the walking simulator world.
If you do not value your time at all I'm sure there are some good bits to find. Personally I like being paid to work.
Just because you don't get this game doesn't mean it's bad. I genuinely feel bad for Kojima here. The entire point of Death Stranding is connecting to people. Be kind. Yes it's a "walking simulator" but this game is not about the destination. In a game like breath of the wild for example the reward ia getting to your next destination so you can continue the game. Death Stranding the game is the way to connect people.
You should feel bad about yourself. You really should.
@@requiemagent3014 because you're a Kojima fangirl doesn't make this game a masterpiece lmao

kojima wants to make movies so badly
Death Stranding is the quintessential example of "One of the games of all time"
It's interesting but it's so strange, Kojima is a very creative game visionary
I absolutely loved seeing you be so reckless, it's like a playstyle I've never seen because I'm too scared to go faster than walking speed

Thank you epic for giving out this game free during December I loved the game
Its Death Stranding indeed. Its fine
Been waiting for a death Stranding Kevduit video for ages. Not disapointed.
Hideo put 75% of resources into making open fields look really good and didn't leave must left for much else that explains this game and the way the content is layed out
Nice b8 but come back with real criticisms next time lmao. This game has plenty of content.
what? did you just put aside weapons and other buildings you can construct in the game?
Be for real. even if this was bait this is just humiliatingly shameful of how bad the bait is.
Content layout is good. A LOT of lore but it's dark souls style. Don't here the same complaints with dark souls that I hear for death stranding,
This is one of my favorite games can’t wait for DS2
It's still wild to me that this game released just before the outbreak of a pandemic and over two years of lockdowns, self-isolation and people being afraid to get near other people. It's themes and messaging literally couldn't have been more poignant.

Playing the game rn for the first time. The game is strange, unusual, addicting and beautiful. Like nothing Iv ever played. I see why a lot of people wouldn’t like it, but if you’re into unique games that do things different, then this game is for you. 9.5/10

When I first got this I thought it was super boring. I couldn't get through it. I eventually sat down and played all the way through the game. It is now my #1 favorite game I've ever played. The story is amazing and the combat is actually really good even if there isn't a ton of it. Such an amazing game
"Oh, no! I'm bad at Running!" It's okay, I'm not good with...whatever this game is. I didn't want to do the second map....What even is this game!?
Glad to have caught this live, it was a grand ol' time!
The song by the band CHVRCHES from this game is absolutely stellar.
So glad to see more content creators give this game a chance. Even if the game isn’t your taste or style, it is still an amazing game. Personally when I found out you can use the smoke decoys as a type of boxing gloves (kinda) it made me wonder what other kind of items could be used as something different.
