I choose to believe that the mc is schizophrenic and none of the friend characters are real, and as Nahaulli continues to work with them, they start to be incorporated in the boss's delusions, and so when he betrays the boss, the boss assumes that he did it to take their friends away, when in reality he was killing a dangerous unmedicated schizophrenic murderer who was simply too dangerous not to kill, and the last mission would be a near death dream as the boss bleeds out in their grave. If only this were true

There's this one game, called dementia, came out in like 94-95 its .... I'm not human anymore. Never have I been so repulsed physically from am artstyle before, and the madness, the people speak words actual criminals insane individuals might utter, it was called "granny", and "armed and delirious", in other places too. I got this game when it first came out, bought it digitally, played it for like an hour then contacted Microsoft and got my money back. I've literally never done that before, i didn't even do it with cyberpunk on last gen lol.
I don't know how Kevduit manages to make his characters monstrous abominations that are nothing short of an affront to all existence, but also perfectly fit the game itself.

SR2 does not have a consistent tone. The tone of the story is dramatically at odds with the gameworld and gameplay. That tonal clash makes the game unplayable for me. SR3 is the only one where the tone is consistent.
Gonna be honest with SR2 backwards compatible on Xbox I’m not really interested in a remake or remaster that judging by other recent efforts have just as much chance of tarnishing the original and getting the original delisted (*cough GTA cough*). Personally I just wish they kept upping the anty wirh fantasy and sci fi settings, but made it more like Gat out of Hell (coherent storyline with characters you care about adding a grounded element to a wacky setting) and less like IV (everything you’re fighting for is literally just gone and there’s no point to any of this, but hey we made a bad prototype clone (cops were fun at least)). Considering we got hell and an alien version of the Matrix, it’d have been fun to get like the Saints in a another reality version of greek mythology with a contemporary spin on it trying to out influence the pantheon and take over.
people warned them about going this direction, how much of the player base was the returning gamers who were there since the beginning, how this shitted in the face of what they wanted and what was going to revive them, and they were shocked when it absolutely flopped and shut down their studio

If saints row 2 remakewas announced, and i mean even just a modernized graphic upgrade, im sure pre-orders would be massive. If they do it as well as, say, RE2 Make then it would sell insanely.
