@@eangsyerbic6942 Another car that seems to last forever is the 2000's Buick LeSabre with the 3800 series v6. Those engines will never fail you. Car Wizard recommends those a lot.
I don't care if it is a fucking v6 fwd cutlass, if you can't out maneuver an 80,000 pound truck on a mountain road, you shouldn't be consuming oxygen from the rest of us...

Sooo much is wrong with this scene! 1)Car's driver should have hit the brakes EARLY on and avoided the whole thing before he was nearly off the road. 2)Trucker would have likely forced them over the edge/run them over doing what he did fairly early on. 3)It's obvious that the studio cut/modified the car for the "running it over" scene. The car would have looked differently AND been unsteerable afterwards. 4)Properly tied down, there's no way the load of logs would have come loose like that at the end. Yeah, I KNOW it's a movie, but show me a scene that I actually could believe COULD have happened, not this.
That's just nitpicking, really. It's a well shot and exciting scene. Could it happen in real life? No, but neither could most chase scenes in action movies.
snowrocket Yeah pretty cool how the tires cleanly cut through the right side of the buick, somehow leaving the wheels intact, even though the engine disappears.... But still pretty cool because they actually did this rather than doing boring old CGI

1980s Buick Century was a pretty solid car But it was downsized. No way it could withstand being rolled over with 40 tons like that.
40 tons was the entire GVWR. Maybe 10 tons was on that side of that axle.
