Good job, I love the sleeper builds that the people take the time to get the hvac system working so you can daily drive the vehicle. so many s10 builds they rip out the AC and it becomes a cool weather vehicle only

Stock rear axle, and 4l60 trans. Wont make light to light racing long for sure.

Ehh idk they are super light trucks. The rear end in these are decently stout IF you stay on top of seals and leaks. Most 7.5s I see blown arent from shear power but from running without any gear oil in them. Pinion seal bites the dust and people keep driving till its dry as a bone and bearings finally give up. Maintain the trans and it should last aswell. Looks like this guy does take care of it.

@@DillonTurner395 I agree I had a s10 with a small block v8 before and it had the original rear end was a v6 truck it was no issue at all but it wasn’t a highway truck that’s for sure but she sure could burn rubber

I have the 1988 GMC version of this truck, even down to the same color. I'm currently looking for a 5.7 LS motor to throw in it. I blew the 4.3 last year, and couldn't part with it, the body is straight, paint is good, and it's part of my family. If anyone has any advice for this build, keep me updated, it's my first build!

If you ever get rid of it let me know I mated my 91 4.3 to a few trees drifting. Won't drift on country roads now lol

@@gunnermurphy6632 I finally moved into my new shop, and picked up a pristine 5.3 ls with new crank, pistons, arms and lifters. Just gotta put the whole thing back together now.

I got a red 88 just like it. My dad bought it brand new when I was a kid. I’ve restored it and it looks brand new again. I wish I knew someone who could do a v8 swap like that and it look factory. I don’t want a hack job.

It doesn't really strike me as a sleeper. When I see it lowered with 8'' rallies I immediately suspect something. Now if it was a factory ride height with some whitewalls I'd say sleeper. Still a beautiful machine. Just my opinion, no disrespect.
