June is a nice time to take this hike. You can hike from Grindelwald to Maennlichen but it is tiring plus continuing the hike to Kleine scheidegg will be difficult to manage within one day. If your plan is to spend one day there take the Maennlichen cable car from Grindelwald(price and timing in the appended link).
