Never stop making research and videos like these! My biggest problem with VR games is just getting an idea of what's out there, especially since there is very little media coverage around surrounding VR in normal gaming news outlets (it's almost as if a new hardware release is required to spark new interest). Now I just need to find friends with "time" and a VR headset to be able to play any of these amazing games. :)
I've tried a lot of the games on this list, and several of the games listed are total trash, while others right next to them on the same list are excellent. I don't think this is a list of the top 65 co-op games as much as its a list of every game in existence that can both be played in VR and has some sort of co-op mode. I have a very active VR gaming group, and we yearn for more good VR co-op titles. It's really hard to find good co-op games we can play. We're basically burning out the few that exist by playing them over and over (After the Fall, Walkabout Mini Golf, Demeo, etc). So I really appreciate you producing a list like this, but I wish it was either ranked or more curated.
Thanks for the list! I think you missed VR Dungeon Knight. It's a fantasy dungeon crawler with randomly generated dungeons and a focus on searching for hidden rooms and avoiding traps. No updates since 2020, but it's still a great game.
Ghosts of Tabor can be put in the same category of Pavlov and other FPS, with it being an extraction looter shooter like Tarkov. Everslaught is another good FPS that reminds me of Doom Eternal.
Walkabout isn't co-op, but it is a great social game. I've never played Ghosts of Tabor, but I thought it was a team based competitive game, which wouldn't really qualify for this list either (but I could be wrong if there's PvE maps). Looks like an awesome game though.
Aw man, my brother just got a VR and I just though, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners would be the perfect Co-Op game! But it doesn't come with Co-Op at all! It fits for a Co-Op game in every way! Scary moments you can laugh at your friends for, or be laughed at for, life threatening moments you'd have to survive together, looting rooms would be so much quicker with two people, back up to keep you alive because this game puts you in vulnerable spots very easily, it would have been so awesome!
Warhammer 40K battle sisters is also technically a co-op game because it has a multiplayer co-op mode, however, last I checked the mode is still in beta.
I just tried the 7D2D VR mod and yea, not bad at all. They put a lot of thought into the controls. Hella demanding on my 2070super though, I basically have to run on everything low. Also, the bike is pretty nausea inducing even with VR legs.
Never forget there is also lots of coop vr minigames in VRChat. It has it's fair share of random horror experiences, escape rooms, and puzzle adventures. Though creators still struggle to make decent coop action games due to netcode limitations.
Great list. Thanks! I Wishlisted several titles in Steam from this video. The submarine game I'll definitely play soon. The concept is great for VR and it had great reviews in Steam.
I had no idea there's so many coop games, thanks for this exhaustive list! There's also a recent Polish sub simulator "Uboat Silent Wolf". I wonder if Stormland will ever be discounted again. BTW. You missed a video segment for GTFO :)
Thanks for the Silent Wolf recommendation. Iron Wolf from this video really grabbed my attention. I think room scale VR is great for a submarine game. I'll definitely check out Silent Wolf as well.
I don't like how this guy didn't differ between DCS and VTOL. They are totally different though they may seem the same. DCS has 1000 page manuals for the aircraft where as VTOL is pretty easy to pickup. There is a little bit of realism to VTOL but DCS is the top of the line sim
Hey, just a little feedback, but you could accompany the background with a bit of music either featured from the game you're talking about, or some general theme song for your channel. Helps for branding, but make sure doesn't overpower your narration. I'd also like to add, VTOLVR's latest DLC, is a two-person trainer jet, so one is the trainee, the other is the instructor (hopefully experience). Only one person needs the DLC, it's meant to help new people learn how to fly planes and operate weapon systems. The community is very active, and it has plenty of custom steam workshop campaigns you can play.
The thing is he said in quest this amd this is the only option but i mean i can play pc vr games on the quest aswell so i do t really get the point there
I'm glad you included Zomday, I've never seen anyone talk about that game despite being a polished and dirt cheap co-op zombie shooter that's been out since the Rift days. Is Landfall still available? I found it on the Oculus store but there's no way to buy.
You missed my favorite coop VR game (also great in single player) MotherGunship: Forge. Available on PC and Quest. The Quest port is really really good. I actually prefer it to the PC version :)
Sorry but you need to reupload. It's missing Walkabout Minigolf. Criminal! No, seriously, I hate golf but this game with friends is pure gold. Cheering after a good shot, ribbing after a bad one. Graphics are simple but aesthetical, you can search for hidden balls. It's like with Demeo, I'd never imagine I'd enjoy this game and yet I did. "We were here" has a VR mode. There's also some weird coop game called Sam and Dan floaty flatmates. I also remember VR dinner duo but it aged poorly.
I love Walkabout Minigolf but I wouldnt class that as co op as you are competing against each other but it is a great social experience as much as it is a game.
unfortunately i don't think VR games will ever be taking seriously by most of the hard core gamer anymore seeing how most of the games on vr are are like escape room games or cooking games and the lack of graphics can make it feel like your playing on a toaster tape to your face. but there are some really good vr gmes out there like Into the Radius was the one that pull me into VR sadly there not more games like that and The Light Brigade is good and The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution is good.
Star trek bridge crew Arizona sunshine 2 Population One Firewall zero hour (Psvr1) Other Firewall game (psvr2) Farpoint (psvr1) Alvo (psvr 1&2) Puzzling places Tennis on court Breachers Keep talking and nobody explodes
Oh and minecraft And Roblox Tetris Effect Connected Mothergunship Forge Battlezone Ark Survival Evolved (can you still play this in VR?) Asymmetric local games like Gorn Acron attack of the squirrels Takelings Playroom (PSVR1) Not really coop but social like Walkabout mini golf Vr chat Etc
In my opinion Contractors is the closest thing to Call of Duty, specially with the modded maps and guns. Vail is another nice shooter in VR, basically the Valorant of Vr Shooters. Very competitive, sadly low player base since it's not yet on Quest.
I want more people playing co-op in VR. Valve has been taking good care of me when it comes to hardware, and Steam is a great way to connect, but VR is unique and splintered enough that it's still hard to find the game gems. Exclusives (Oculus, Apple, PSVR, etc.) are making it more difficult, and many people are buying inferior headsets/tracking systems and suffering without even knowing it. 90% of the VR headsets I've tried didn't fool my brain completely. I can say without doubt this is not one of those "Well lets get an entry level one and see if we like it." type things. IMO you haven't even experienced VR if you are that person. My next VR headset will be custom made for my face, use Valve's tracking system, be the size of sunglasses, and will only cost a fraction of an Apple HMD's cost. Oh, and I get to use it with all my games including games I purchased in 2004 on Steam that are getting modded for VR.
So, there are a total of three non shooter multi-player VR games. And 64 PCVR games, and you chose not to suggest any of the ones that are actually popular VR games.
Awesome job with the video! One small note, No Man's Sky is available on PSVR 1 as well. I think you just had it listed as PC and PSVR 2. Also Firewall Ultra is apparently going to have a PvE mode. The developers have mentioned it, but never really went into details. It's supposed to come out in August for PSVR 2. Lots of great co-op options out there!
VRchat is the most known VR game. No need for introduction. ...And also many people are already too fed up with cacophony of unoptimized avatars and worlds, mirror sitters and NSFW.
It's so saturated with horror and monster game oh my God... Need some more different kind of games like better graphic tour Japan game, casual relax kind of games etc. some top down sandbox or strategy game like LOL, there was one pretty good but they closed it down on PS4
Lowkey L survival game section of this video the beginning had me hyped for good survival game options and they were all kinda not even survival games I don’t think

Ok

I have a 2 person VR lab setup for this, and I ended up adding some to my steam wishlist after watching this video LOL.
That elite dangerous bit cracked me up.
This video is just what I needed! I just got an Index last week and I've been looking for games to play with my friend who has a Quest
What ended up being most fun for you guys?
You're a legend been waiting for an updated co op round up. Just found the podcast. Keep up the work!
I've tried a lot of the games on this list, and several of the games listed are total trash, while others right next to them on the same list are excellent. How did ghosts of tabor not make this list?
I did not expect to see mods on this list, let alone DCS. Very, very cool video! Valheim is one of my all time favorites.
Thanks for the list!
I think you missed VR Dungeon Knight.
It's a fantasy dungeon crawler with randomly generated dungeons and a focus on searching for hidden rooms and avoiding traps.
No updates since 2020, but it's still a great game.
Mother of god, VI coming in strong yet again, I LOVE YOU! THIS IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED!
I really like the subtle jokes. "this one has mummies... and daddies" was hilarious
Thanks now i have something to Play with my brother
Really great stuff, got a couple of games out of it and most excited about 7days VR. I was thinking about that for years
Ghosts of Tabor can be put in the same category of Pavlov and other FPS, with it being an extraction looter shooter like Tarkov. Everslaught is another good FPS that reminds me of Doom Eternal.
Good video but I agree some gems are missing. Walkabout mini golf as well as Ghosts of Tabor. Both excellent games.
Walkabout isn't co-op, but it is a great social game.

you didn't have to shit on me with that elite dangerous bit lmao
Great list! Learned a lot of titles to add to my wishlist.
...now to get more friends who will play VR with me.
Jet Island as a blast, if you can get used to it. The experience and fun is unreal.
kill the king is also a pretty good co-op game that might come out
Never forget there is also lots of coop vr minigames in VRChat. It has it's fair share of random horror experiences, escape rooms, and puzzle adventures. Though creators still struggle to make decent coop action games due to netcode limitations.
Thanks!
Great video! Only game your forgot was Breachers but other than that great video
Escape from mandrilla, Davigo, Takelings House Party
Great list. Thanks! I Wishlisted several titles in Steam from this video. The submarine game I'll definitely play soon. The concept is great for VR and it had great reviews in Steam.
All this crammed into 17 minutes, great video
Any specific reason, why Ghosts of Tabor didn’t make it to the list?
What are PC only games, can you play them with a quest connected to a PC?
Yep. I'm running a Quest 2 connected to my computer via a USB cable.
Yeah they are PCVR
wish we had a boneworks coop mod but with good syncing
no way he left our ghosts of Tabor
Very useful video, thank you 🙏🏼
Games that should have been mentioned:
Assetto Corsa (So many mods to make this game better than most recent racing sim)
Flight Simulator 2020
Downward spiral is also available on psvr1
for cockpit games, War Thunder also has VR support, only in Simulator gamemodes tho
Wow, I found some good games on here to put on my wishlist, thanks!
I'm interested in the left for dead 2 mod but I can't find the one that uses touch to aim.. What is it?
Carly and the Reaperman works pretty well with Steam remote play
Good addition for the VR nation!
I had no idea there's so many coop games, thanks for this exhaustive list!

I wonder if Stormland will ever be discounted again.

Me vibing to the Hitman soundtrack in the background

Thanks for doing these Mr Insider, it’s great to learn about potentially interesting titles I missed 🙏🏻
Crisis Vrgage 1 can play three players crossplay.
Crisis Vrgage 2 can play two players crossplay
Is squadrons still alive on PC for pvp? It’s dead on console.
Amazing list! Thank you!

The videos are fine the way they are
There is background music in the video but maybe it wasnt loud enough
Personally if there is repetitive or annoying bgm I tend to mute all the audio and turn on subtitles! 😂❤
Can you still play Gunheart in co-op, tho? I've heard they've shut down the servers, so whats the point of including it if co-op no longer works?
I played it over the weekend with a friend and it worked fine co op
The thing is he said in quest this amd this is the only option but i mean i can play pc vr games on the quest aswell so i do t really get the point there

Crunch Element is pretty good in co-op.
