Never put a child name on the house to qualify. if they maried the spouse pressure them to get the parent off and put theirs. It's happpen to one of my friend. She worked double shifts as a nurse and bought a beautiful 4 bed room house . The son-on-;aw just came into the family and want his name on there and not hers She's not doing it.
So thorough… you’re amazing! Blessings 🙏🏾
Amen! Thank you

30% of wages on housing costs is almost not attainable these days, except your earning capacity is strong or you're sharing that responsibility with your partner.
True
So it's possible
First here ❤
Long time. 😊
Yes been a while! So glad to see you here, thanks for showing up ♥️♥️
I enjoy watching your videos, straight to the point no plenty talk ❤
lol 😂 thank you
Hi Chidera, I always get so excited when you post a video and I have been following you since you were in Uni before you got married. It is even more exciting that we bought our house almost same time as you did. For my husband and I, what we decided to do was buy a house based on one salary( I know this isn’t for everyone) but what this means is God forbid if we ever went down to one income, if I was in maternity leave or if I was to go part time, we can still afford all our bills. So we try as much as possible to make sure all our essential bills stays within a certain amount.
Oh this is an amazing approach - love it and thanks for being here from wayyyy back ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Ema,i just checked your channel, please start your content already.all the best.waiting for your cooking.lol
@@Taprisha84thank you Girl, I have been saying I will for years, I just have zero editing skills and I’m shy 🤣
Well should I be the first subscriber so as to motivate you?😂😂😂😂
Would be really helpful if you could list your chapters by their actual name. Not just generically Point 1, Point 2, Point 3, etc. Think of your viewers and usability?
That emergency fund serious business 👏🏾
I'm telling u,we have to be intentional to achieve this
This emergency fund, aside from the LISA, where else can it be saved that at any given point you can access it and with good interest rate as well and tax free
Sister who can help me find a council house if I went to UK for the first time and I don't have family there?
It’s 4 or 4.5 which is £16000 for £40k
Great video :) but guys don't worry about your credit score the UK doesn't use score only the CRA who give you it use it and lenders do not see it. For example Credit Karma will lower your score if you have a higher credit card balance than the previous month even though you pay it in full, but banks don't penalise you for that as long as you manage your credit history well. It's your credit history that matters lenders want to see you not persistently rolling over previous months' balance and maxing all your available credit. Source: I am a mortgage underwriter.
lol love the casual brag at the end 😂
Exactly what my mortgage Advicer said
@@ChideraPeters 😄😄 had to didn't want to look like i'm making stuff up haha
@@lizzyewelum3541 Yeah lenders have their own scoring system in line with their own risk appetite and affordability criteria. When I'm doing a manual review I'm literally reading at the credit account history that you see on your Experian report for example. I've declined a 999 score due to bad credit conduct and approved a fair score because of good credit conduct.
Good good content thank u
You're welcome
Is it okay to open an LISA account when you do not know when you want to buy a house yet?
Currently in same boat
If you open one, you can only use funds from it to buy a house or during retirement 😢
Yes! It’s okay. You can open it and just put £10 there
What is LISA account please
It’s 4.5
I mentioned this. I said some lenders can give up to 4 or 4.5, not sure if you missed it
Chidera, how are doing dear? ❤
I’m doing fine, thanks for asking ♥️
Do this or that, you people just dey spoil market for people weh dey live in the UK.
This channel is now about how to buy a house. No clear direction,is it lack of content or what?
Lol 😂 come and beat me. I’m allowed to share whatever I like please 🙏🏽. It’s my channel for a reason and I’m allowed to evolve. Everything I share still resolves around one central theme - which is life in the U.K.
@@ChideraPeters don't even waste energy replying to people like this - you do you girl!
I smell jealousy 😂😂😂
