Congratulations again, this is amazing Chidera, my developer did something similar, we had an upgraded kitchen, garden turf, tap outside, flooring, as well as some other things that came to a total of over £12000 + I got an extra £1500 as a key worker to go towards whatever we wanted ( we chose built in wardrobes) + almost 5% contribution towards our deposit. I think new builds are under appreciated and if anyone is watching this and is considering going for a new build- totally do! We get snags fixed whenever within the first 2 years (ps: every house comes with snags whether old or new)
Well explained I remember paying £4k. In 2019 in moneybox only to find out we can’t get mortgage because my husband was still studying when I withdrew the money 😢I was sad because as that time I did not know the money must be use in getting a house I think I got £3k plus it was a big loss for me then 😅 is really important to watch videos before making any decisions …
Nice info. But my worry is , for example if I deposit 4k now before 5 April 2024, and then deposit another 4k say by June. Will I get the 2k add-on? And do I have to keep the act open for 2years or 1year before I can use it to buy a house? I'm just confused because I've got the app but I havnt deposited anything yet.
Congrats Chidera, you have given me the boldness to give this LISA account a go… i have opened a moneybox account for almost 1 year now, but could only pay in 10£ 😂…. Can I ask how long it took for money box to credit the solicitor?… I am concerned they might be very slow with payment and it could lead to loosing your mortgage deal as a result.
Hi Chidera, your glow is really glowing 😊. My question is on the LISA, you mentioned that it is only open to those under 40, In a situation where someone opens the account when he/she is 39, does it mean that once the person clocks 40, he can’t renew it for another tax year?
I already mentioned this in our video on how we bought our first house. th-cam.com/video/nMh7e_f05GQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZlzVVmGvh6yqjQJK But a good website is newhomesforsale.co.uk
congrats again chidera, i am so happy for you. What is the name of your developer if you dont mind me asking. like how much should our salary rrange be to get a good mortage. i mean How much should i earn to be able to be able to get a mortage of 300-450k
Hi Chidera, thanks for this very informative video . Please: Is this 2k you got from the bank, part of public funds? Is this ISA also applicable to students or their dependents? What if the individual is above 40 years after graduation, is the person still eligible to apply?
Hi 👋🏾 the 2K I.e. 1K yearly isn’t considered public funds 2. Yes it’s applicable to students and dependents. But I wouldn’t suggest a student to open one yet until your stay is a bit more certain with a work visa 3. No, once you’re above 40, you cannot open a lifetime ISA
Congratulations chi.please I am above 40 and my wife is in her 30’s.If she has an ISA account and we want to buy a house together can her ISA account be used to buy the house jointly
Thank you for sharing Chidera. For the money box, do you have to put in £4k by the end of each finanacial year to get tge £1k or doee it have to be any mount to get the £1k?
Hey chedera, congs on your new Home and thanks for the info.just to ask about ISA account,if one open the account when 39 years, does he benefit from it even at 40 years? Thanks.
You can’t put more than 4K per year. That’s how the account works. The Govt set a maximum of 4K for that account. If you have more than that then put the rest in a High Interest Savings Account. There are many out there
Hi Chidera, thanks for the insight, i work around Houghton regis, and will really like to get a property like yours, can you give me your mortgage advisors contact?❤
You don’t need ILR to register to vote. Just call or let your council know you want to register to vote. You only need to reside in the U.K. to be eligible to vote

Yes I do. You mean personal finance sessions? I had a few slots for January which were all taken up. I’m yet to open any slots for February though 😅

That’s correct, you will get 2k. Don’t fear it works
But how long will I keep the entire money before I can use it? 1 year or 2years?

@gratefulmuah6480 your LISA should be at least a year old to be available to use to buy a property

Hi Chidera…
The high rate savings account can a non uk resident open the account?
Thanks Chidera for this well detailed info. Please I want to know the maximum amount to save in the ISA account
It’s 4k a year and you get 1k in April.
You get 1k for every 4k you save in a year.
If they plan is to buy in 4 years is it still wise to use money box?
How long does buying in general takes, please?
Thanks Chidera. Can you share how to see the developers site/

Hi 👋🏾 it’s 25% bonus on any amount. So if you have just £500 in it, you’ll get 25% which will be £125
