Love the look! If you have a truck that's not able to be garage kept, any issues with it being out in the sun, etc., every day or does the 10 yr warranty cover everything? If/when you need to take it off, does it affect the original paint at all / any downsides??
Being out in the sun does not affect the 10 year warranty. Removal doesn’t usually affect the paint unless there has been some paint repaired done in the past that wasn’t quality.
I need this on my TRX due to the amount of miles, debris, and look. However, I spec'd it out and this is wildly expensive. It's cheaper to get a paint correction, add some clear-coat, then have the vehicle ceramicoated. I don't know that it's worth it for me, but if you have the extra cash burning a hole in your pocket I could see getting this done. Otherwise, Xpel needs to come down on the price because it's seems like they are price gouging those who can afford a TRX.
A ceramic coating/paint correction is absolutely the cheaper way to go but will do nothing to stop rock chips, unfortunately. If that is your goal then XPEL paint protection film is your only option. It isn't cheap, but it's definitely not a gouging technic, the cost is the same for a TRX as it is for an Aventador. The film itself is almost half the cost of the install, the rest is time. A good installer will take 3 to 4 days to completely finish a car in XPEL as it is a very labor intensive job. After you have it done you'll realize it's worth every penny because of the protection it provides, the 10 year warranty it has, and the peace of mind every time you take the car/truck out for the day.
Justin, Looks great! I wonder if the 70th Ann. Edition Carbon Flash Black would look good with Xpel Stealth PPF since you can see the metallic's still 🤔 💬. Thoughts? 64 👍 Currently -Shane
XPEL is thicker offering more protection against rocks, etc as well as self healing, which is exactly what it sounds like. If scratched it will literally disappear with heat. It also has a 10 year warranty where there really isn't much of any warranty on vinyl.
The truck looks amazing but where are you going to drive this truck with tint that looks illegal from an airplane? You would spend as much time pulled over as you do at the gas pump if you lived near me.
Wow, I talked to a guy that had PPF on his car and he paid like almost 6K. Your shop using top of the line Xpel with that attention to detail, I’d say 7K is a helluva deal.
Watching him squeegee the paint made me cringe. Don’t ever do this to your car ladies and gents. Use air or a microfiber cloth, unless you love to marr your paint.

Big change on this TRX. What do you guys think? 🤔
Great installation job but the dull look is not for me.
Thanks! It does seem to have a very specific crowd that’s interested in it!
The STEALTH wrap is awesome! I can't wait to do that on my TRX! Thanks for showing the process!

💯 agreed!
Ram TRX. Best truck EVER!
It sure is! LOVE IT!
The stealth looks really good on the TRX.
It definitely does. Makes me second guess my decision lol
@@HorsePowerObsessed I bet. It looks better than I expected.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Gloss paint though is always a winner.
If you have a blue 2024 TRX and want it to be a Satin Black or Matt Black Xpel, is that possible?

very nice, that is a lot of work.
Yes it was! But worth it. The TRX looks seriously mean in stealth.
Can you weap stealth over the decals?

It definitely would and it’s exactly what I was going to do if I could get that color without getting the anniversary package!! 😁

Are the door handles removal would be the same just for the 2022 ram 1500?
Yes.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Thanks! does the door panel need to be removed if theres a passive entry?
No. There’s a plug on the backside of the door handle you can access.
What material was used on the bumpers and grill?
The metal bumpers were ceramic coated with XPEL fusion.
How much something like this run
On a full size truck like this usually around 6k.

Shiny looks awesome like mine, this not so much

I haven’t had any issues at all in over a year. 🤷♂️
@@HorsePowerObsessed well it looks fantastic. If they don't care I sure don't lol
How much does PPF cost for TRX?
My guess for the full truck… about 7K
Yup. Right around 7k.

100%! There are shops out there that charge far more but we believe in quality at a reasonable cost
7k is a good deal for sure. Out here in AZ I talked to a very reputable shop and for the Stealth it was 9k.

Ruined that truck. Just my opinion
