Please elaborate. The thief can smash his way in and pull the Tazer DT out, and the vehicle will STILL require the correct PIN to disable ? New MY24 Limited here. Im only interested in the security features of this product. Newer (late '23 on) Mopar apparently have an updated RFHM (radio frequency hub module) software to disallow this remote cloning that thieves do. How well it works i dont know ! I have to find out more about this. Older mopar can get this flash.

Yeah they have a manual but it doesn't always describe stuff the best. I tried to cover a lot of the stuff they don't talk too much about in this video. Let me know if you have any questions that aren't answered in their manual.
Thank you for the great review. Question: If someone were to break in via back window, crawl in without tripping alarm, and then try to reprogram the key, could that defeat the Tazor PIN function? I think it still works if the Tazor is physically removed correct? Just not sure if those trained thugs can get in and steal it if no shock sensors are used. Hope that makes sense. Appreciate it!

If they unplug the taser won’t it get rid of the extra security? And did you move your horn? Just trying to figure the best way to secure my rebel 2022. It was recently broken into, now I realize how easy it is for them to disconnect the horn and all the other fun stuff.
The "killbyfob" option sticks even if the tazer is disconnected, meaning, the gas pedal won't work if the truck is unlocked by anything other than the original key fob that locked it.
Is there a way to have the amber lights on with remote start? I have them when I start the truck but with remote start the lights are white. Keep up the good work with the videos.
On some vehicles, pushing the brake pedal hard at a red light will cause the brake to hold, so you don't have to keep your foot on the brake. The brake releases when you push on the accelerator. Is that what the "brake hold" function does on this? Also, is there any way to set this so the mirrors fold when the truck is locked rather than when it is merely off?
No, brake hold I believe is for off-roading. If you were to open your door while moving slowly it automatically engages the E brake. And unfortunately, no, the mirrors only close in upon vehicle shut off.

Yes I do! I definitely think it’s worth it. Helps protect from rock chips and scratches and any kind of off roading you might do. Depending on where you are from i might be able to help you out with ppf.
Have you tried the “forced rear wheel” feature? I’m curious if it helps with mileage or if it causing issues while normal driving with it…just a curious. I have a TRX BTW and thinking about getting a Tazer for it. Had one on my Daytona and it was cool.
what would happen if the tazer fails and crashes? would it totally lock up your truck making it not able to drive? Or what would happen if you unhook the device without doing the unmarry?
I’ve had it for quite some time now and nothing like that has ever happened but if it did, it wouldn’t lock up the truck. You’d most remove the device. Nothing is permanently altered with this device plugged in.

Congrats on the truck! I have only used RWD one time for about 30 seconds. I haven't used it much and probably never will use it a lot. If anything, I'd use it for a quick burnout at a drag strip and that's about it.
Great Review! I've had mine installed on my 21 Ram Rebel for a couple weeks and love it! The PIN feature is great! Looking forward to the additional security features with 18.2.0. I have 2 questions: Does the Taser need to be removed from the truck to update the firmware? When you want to disable the PIN and say YES, does it require you to enter the PIN to confirm you want to disable it? I hope that made sense! Thanks in advance for your input!! New sub here!
Thank you! It does NOT need to be removed from the truck for updates if you have a laptop or something you could do it right from the truck. I don't know about the pin for removing it. Stay tuned for the answer on that one.
I hope they add the MDS delete/deactivation -- I know we can use the ERS to deactivate MDS, but it would be nice to have it permanently disabled (like some of us 😃).

@@vododaady1 first you must have a gear selector on your steering wheel. If you have one, press the minus (-) until you get to 8 (this will appear on your dash) -- this effectively disables the MDS temporarily. You will have to do this each time you start your engine.

My tazer doesn’t lock the the last mode it was in. ie sport, mud , sand. It reverts back to auto. My tazer is updated. Any suggestions? Or did I miss something?
Spend that much money on it and then spend way more. Clearly a rich man’s truck. Stunning, dodge makes a pretty truck. I’m sure you have after market security. Here are a couple of free bonuses. Hood lock, relocate odb and replace with a fake obd connection wired straight to the battery, no fuse. Hopefully if they connect their computer to steal it it will get fired. Mix half the wires ground and half ground.
I have looked and looked under the dash of my level 1 TRX and cannot find the two pugs shown, has anyone had this problem? any suggestions for where they could be hidden?
They are plugged into a holder up underneath the dash that you can unplug them from, but just look for to small connectors that are plugged up underneath.
According to their site it should work as long as it’s 2018 or newer. There’s a link in the description to buy it from Amazon so if it doesn’t work you could always return it.

well this tazor just does not work on my truck , the lights on the mirrors do not blink , I give up and sending it back , was not meant to be , I did the full reboot and nothing , same problem
I'm getting closer and now have the mirrors flashing , with the Halos lit on your truck are the rear marker lights on as well and the light under the tailgate ? mine are lit along with the hood

Have you looked at the Igla security system, it is a Pin security that allows you to use buttons on the steering as well as buttons on the infotainment center as well. I believe it is strictly for security so it doesn't have the other customization options. What are your thoughts on it compared to the tazer system?
I don't really love the idea of the IGLA system only because if something were to go wrong you are kind of stuck. Depending on where you live, the threat of theft of this truck is higher or lower and for me, it's pretty low. That said, I don't have to go to extremes to ensure it doesn't get stolen and I thin for me, the Tazer is more than good enough.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I understand. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth TX area and so the chances of theft are higher for me unfortunately. I was debating the Igla system because of the high theft of mopar vehicles in the areas I have to travel to. I honestly didn't know that there was another security system available like the Igla until I seen your video of the D.T. Tazer. I appreciate your response to my question. I'll need to do some more research on both products before I make a decision. Thanks again.

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone else gets that transmission jump or jerk when coming to a stop or just when you take your foot off the brake? I took mine to the dealer and after 2 days the tech said everything was working properly and that was normal. Any thoughts? Thanks, KC
Yes and no. It doesn't offer quite the same security the IGLA does but in my opinion it offers enough that will stop most thieves. With the foblock option it disables the gas pedal unless unlocked with the same fob that was used to lock it and that can't be disabled even if the person removed the tazer device from the truck.
hey bud , I did the install with the dt tazer on my trx and my Advanced cruise lights are on it's telling to service the system , any idea on what id did wrong because i have np clue

Assuming you bought it brand new it shouldn't be married to any other truck so it's the first option you should see. If you bought it used it may already be married to another truck.

Did you mention that it does NOT need to be “unmarried” now as well for dealer visits??

I might have missed it but at the beginning you mention getting it to stay in Sport mode aways. How do you set that up?
It automatically does it. Just set your mode and it will stay there as long as the device is in there.

I have a 2023 TRX and I’ve turned the halo on yes but the 3 lights don’t light up with the daytime running lights
Be sure to reboot the system afterwards. Sometimes that has to be done multiple times for the changes to stick.

Since you have the amber lights as your DRL, do the amber turn signal lights still work, or does the turn signal use the white lights?
They still work. They just flash when you're turning. The white does not come on unless you want it to.

They aren't loose, they are plugged in from factory.

The Tazer doesn't leave any trace of installation. If you were to have any issues you could easily just remove it before warranty work.

You have to physically turn the fog lights on afterwards to get them to stay on.

The truck can be on or off for the light show. Unlock, unlock, lock, unlock starts it.

My truck max is out at 117 mph and I thought that this device would kind of bypass the governor. Do you know if it does
after you marry tazer dt, do you disconnect it after but still be able to use all functions? will it drain battery?
No it stays in the truck and I haven't noticed any battery drain.

I am on the beta right now and it will be coming out to everyone soon. The last update they put out had issues with that drive mode being locked in.

Getting key fob not in vehicle message and horn honking if I get out of truck or just open door. When I get back in it stops.
If you have the Tazer you can turn the remotefobbeep off.

No. This is the only radiator protection that is GM certified so warranty is in tact! 👍👍

@@HorsePowerObsessed I understand. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth TX area and so the chances of theft are higher for me unfortunately. I was debating the Igla system because of the high theft of mopar vehicles in the areas I have to travel to. I honestly didn't know that there was another security system available like the Igla until I seen your video of the D.T. Tazer. I appreciate your response to my question. I'll need to do some more research on both products before I make a decision. Thanks again.

Can this be used in place of the IGLA?
Yes and no. It doesn't offer quite the same security the IGLA does but in my opinion it offers enough that will stop most thieves. With the foblock option it disables the gas pedal unless unlocked with the same fob that was used to lock it and that can't be disabled even if the person removed the tazer device from the truck.
hey bud , I did the install with the dt tazer on my trx and my Advanced cruise lights are on it's telling to service the system , any idea on what id did wrong because i have np clue
I would make sure it's married to the truck. If it is, unmarry it, and then remarry it. Then make sure you reboot it twice fully.

@joncosta5477 no they are the stock lights. I had them tinted and the taser device has them on when the truck is on.

Question brother, I don’t get the option to “Marry/UnMarry” my device. I have every other option besides that. Is there any fix to this?
Assuming you bought it brand new it shouldn't be married to any other truck so it's the first option you should see. If you bought it used it may already be married to another truck.

No. None of the changes are permanent. Remove the device if you were to ever have warranty issues.
